Wow we have had alot of Newcomers in the past week..
I hope you get to Book It and Join us in our Craziness..

Ok, so, would you both be interested in a Secret Santa We are planning on leaving little gifts in everyone's Christmas Stockings that hang on their Fish Extenders.. So the let's sneek around the ship and leave presents to unexpected Dis'ers without getting caught could be a start..

The movies will be different..

The stores have New merchandise..

We are also planning on several Meet & Greets and Having dinner with each other and maybe some Surprises..

Art Auction with Free Champaign..

New Excursions..

Smuggling some good old fashion Cigars and Conac (sp) onboard and and enjoying them in the Adult Lounge..

hmm... Other then that I may scare you away

Let the questioning begin...

1) Do the Anuual Dues or Maintenance Fees vary by what property you buy into?

2) What does it really matter which property you buy into as you can use any of them? I guess one thing is that you can book sooner, but is there anything else?

3) How much have the Annual Dues gone up over the life of your membership?

4) Is the DVC Member cruise cheaper for members or do they offer special perks? Using DVC points for a cruise doesn't seem to be that great of a deal compared to staying at a resort.

I am sure we will think of others but please let us know if we reach the harassment stage.

Let me try:

1) Yes, varies by property. We own 2 properties. VWL and BCV

2) Just the booking time. We love OKW, but own elsewhere and the last 2 years have not been able to get into OKW the first week in Dec at the 7 months mark. Year before last we did get a 1 bdrm there by waitlisting, but not last year. We did not know about "Buying where you want to stay" when we bought.

3) Our dues have not varied much, just a few dollars. We have been members since Jan 2002.

4) The DVC Member cruise is not cheaper for members....it is ONLY for members (or a member that books for you). We went on the first Members only cruise 2003 and it was wonderful!


Using points is not cost effective they tell us. "They" say to rent your points and use the $$ to pay for a cruise. We really like the ease of using them to cruise though. We pay for some cruises, use points for some. We have never rented our points...we are in point debt for next year! We need more points! When you cruise with points and rebook with points within 3 days of getting off the cruise you get a point discount of 10%. We have done that twice.

I am hoping so.. DH has his moments.. But he did get a little excited when I was talking about the Secret Mickey Santa Exchange and He LOVES Pins and Trading. So if he finds a Pin Trader amoung us he may break his shell and actually Join In
