Can y'all tell me when you have tried to the room at palo so I can go ahead and put that in, it is easier to delete than it is to add and I want to go ahead and get that out of the way.

I requested Sunday Dec 9 10:30 am with Monday Dec 10 10:30 as a second choice.

You made think of the time my oldest son was saying he wants to be an animal helper when he grows up and my youngest said that he wants to drive one of those houses and be a vacationer....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: when he is old enough to work.

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: We bought one of those houses you drive and we too want to be vacationers, when we grow up! :lmao: :lmao:

Where is everyone?

It's still early.. :confused3

Ok... this is totally not my computer week.

My internet just died and stayed down for an hour and a half!! And we were having such a nice conversation in the cruise chat. :sad1:

But I used my offline time wisely. I completely cleared off my craft table and put a big ole suitcase on it to start throwing stuff into as I think of it for the cruise.

So... has anyone else started packing yet? :rotfl:

We brought our clothes to our Florida house already and hung them in the closet when we drove down back in July. We thought it would be alot easier on us if we already had our stuff down there.

We do have some New clothes that need to go down with us :rolleyes1 and DH's suit.

Plus all our toiletries are down there so we don't need to fight with Airlines about having them under 3 oz. and in a 1 quart size plastic bag.

Of course, he'll say he can't type fast enough, he can't spell well enough, he doesn't have time....Beth

He can just use smilies!

we gave up our room for a GTY (number to be announced by DCL later). That's how we saved the $770.
I updated the list on the blog. We did the same thing on the Med cruise. I gave up my cat 11 midship on deck 7 for a 12 GTY. Got half my money back, and ended up in a cat 11 midship on deck 6!

Still needs a lot of work but this is what I have so far

I love it!:thumbsup2

My request is for the 2nd sea day as the first choice, and 3rd sea day as the 2nd choice. Here are the folks on my list...

Bill and Jennifer (TheTXTaylors5)
Wendy (JsMom2)
Wendy's DSis and DF
Dave (OCDave) and Tammy
Beth (BethC1952) and DH
Jason (WiFamily) and DW
Jason's Mom and Dad

When OCDave was 5 he wanted to be a seal when he grew up. We'd gone to Sea World and he thought the idea of swimming all day while people throw fish at you was a good deal. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Good for you! :thumbsup2 I've got a collection of Secret Mickey gifts in my storage room, but thats about as close as I've come to packing.

This is the last call for printing the T-shirt design for anyone (Wendy and Judy, you're already done). I know I promised they'd be in the mail two weeks ago, and they were. They're now back at my house--next time, DDIL will remember to put stamps on them when I ask her to mail them!

I have a question... I'm assuming the iron-on transfer paper is pretty common and I can find it either in the printing supplies or in the fabric and crafts section. Does it work in just a regular old deskjet printer? I'm guessing stick it in there with a color ink cartridge? Or is there a special fabric ink cartridge to get?

I've been checking the disneyshopping.com website, but they're all sold out of the lime green Mickey tees :sad1: So I'm thinking I'll just get blank lime green tees somewhere. I'll look like everyone else from the back at least! :rotfl:

EDIT: Look! I finally added a sig to my posts! I'm so lazy sometimes....

Time for a big catch-up, though I know I'm still missing lots. :cool1:

Wendy and Bill, thanks for the tips on my MP3, I'll play some more next week when dd is at preschool--gotta have time for a coherent thought! Have just started running again (ooo, that sounds better than it really is!) and pulled it out really for the first time since dh bought it for me for my birthday in the spring. Didn't even really realize it could handle video until I looked...And thanks also to those who were reassuring about my worries for the kids in the clubs. We won't know til we get there I guess, but the kids are excited.

I managed to keep the secret from them for--a big 3.5 weeks. Pizza night, dh and I couldn't stand it anymore, so we broke out the postcards we got from DCL, plopped a pirate hat on each of them, and spilled. Dd just keeps saying "all the room service we want!!" My rationale is I need lots of time to talk to them about what to expect so they'll have a better time. This is especially true of ds who will try new things with gusto, if he knows something of what to expect.

Mommyoftwinfants, congrats on the bingo! That is so fun!

Enjoyed the chat about the binders. Now that we have our air booked I feel like I can start pencilling things in. Off to the office supply to see if I can get pre-punched sheets of the right size for my Passporter or if I'm going to be making confetti...

Stacy, really impressed iwth the detail of what your young man is doing. I had seen the posts but didn't really get it until you explained.

Techno-idiot, I haven't figured out playlists, but am just ripping cd's at this point. Had fun with SoCa music this week, and relevant to our busty wenches, realised Calyso music and dance seem to value a nice "bum bum" and I'm not going to sweat losing weight to fit into a dress! Glad to hear the Caribbean theme is real, because judging from what I've seen, you don't have to be skinny to have fun with that music!

My ringtone--the theme from "Star Trek". Geek of a different sort, but at least I figured out how to download it!

Mommyoftwinfants, that sheet looks amazing. Good job!

I'm not clear on the brunch thing, we'd like to do this but Wendy's was full I think? And we haven't actually managed to book anything at Palo...so I'm confused.

Ok, I made it to page 311...

Well, yesterday was a red-letter day for me. I got the airfare on SW. Dh says we should open a travel agency called "Nerves of Steel Travel". When we booked the one-week (only a couple of weeks ago--is it that long?) we didn't have a way to get there but dh said, if we're spending more on the cruise, we're waiting for a really good airfare. Ok, I agreed. I'd have agreed to anything at that point, but not having a way to get to that boat was a wee bit nerve-wracking!

Anyway, we sat, and got the great airfare, two whole months out. I thought we'd be waiting another month.

We'll arrive on Thurday the 6th around mid-day so we've got lots of time to settle in, buy supplies, take dd to BBB, and NOT get waylaid by winter weather.

Then a few hours later I realized: Dec 6. The LAUNCH! Our flight arrives at 1, the launch is scheduled for 4:30. So we'll be beetling across to Cape Canaveral and looking for a beach. I know shuttle launches are notorious for getting moved and I wouldn't book just to see it, but it seems like kismet, you know? I am a total, total space geek. Did the "Astronaut Training Experience" at Kennedy last trip, with my sister who turned 50 that day. Space Geeks united, she and I. She is going to be GREEN when I tell her we should be there for a launch. Now I have to go back and research the best way to see it and so on.

Our drive yesterday was to see a concert in a Celtic music festival about 3 hrs from home. The headliners were the Chieftains, totally amazing traditional Irish music group, been around 45 years with various members, and IMO the fathers of the Celtic music revival. Happy enough to be going to the concert. We'd seen them before, and they do this wonderful thing where they round out the show with local talent, usually young (twenties, even teens), encouraging all. The concert was amazing. But in the hotel, when we were taking the kids down for a swim, dh recognized Paddy Maloney, the group's leader, going up the stairs! I was in my swimsuit and a hoodie, and babbled about being thrilled, while dh had the presence of mind to ask to shake his hand. Wow. Let me tell you, it's as good for us as touching Garth.

So, airfare, shuttle, Paddy Maloney. What a day! :cloud9:

Aren't you suppose to be sleeping? :confused3

JoJo and I went to bed right after that post. As a matter of fact we just got up about 30 minutes ago! :thumbsup2

I will admit we got up just before 6AM for a couple of minutes but when you get to be JoJo's and my age that happens. :confused3 :goodvibes

The paper is very common. You'll find it in craft stores, office supply stores and almost any place that sells more than a few office supplies. I've seen them in a grocery store!

They work on an ink jet printer. Do not try it with a laser printer unless the paper is for a laser printer. That is unusal.

Keep checking with the Disney site because the shirts sometimes show back up.

Cool day all around. :thumbsup2

We'll be in on the 6th too early. The shuttle does get delayed a lot but we saw it launch when we were on the Magic last December.

I have heard it launch once when we were at DTD. It is loud!

The Chieftains are cool. :thumbsup2 I have one CD of theirs. The closest encounter with a star we have had is riding in an elevator with Glen Cambell in Branson. He's really short in person. :confused3

Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening *I think that about covers it* :yay:

I was suppose to work 10 - 4 today because we have a bunch of Birthday parties and 1 that even over lapped another, somehow, but instead I was asked to work 1- 6 because several people have to leave at 4 and they need the floor covered while the others do the parties.. But.. We have or may have plans for 6 so I said I can do 1-5 and they said perfect, please come in..

I don't think I have ever worked the schedule I was signed up for, since I've been there :sad2:

I'm glad I like my job.. Getting paid to play with kids and build teddy bears is a pretty sweet deal.. The discount of 20% and twice a year of 40% helps too.. Especially since I have about 25 animals :rolleyes1
