I also have to hope we get there in time. We land around 9:40, we pick up rental car, make grocery stop, drop me at terminal, DH returns car, comes back to terminal (anyone know how long that will take with Avis?). I stand on line to check us in, do I need him with me??

I can hope we make it :)

So anyway I am so mad at this company I ordered a costume for DD from. They sent me the next size up and the WAND was BROKEN! I am supposed to get the replacement tomorrow allegedly. It took DD forever to decide on a costume.

If it is cold enough, she is going to be a unicorn, otherwise she is wearing this PIXIE costume she had to have. (After changing her mind 40 bazillion times).

DH is going to be out of town the week of Halloween so we have to leave our goodies at the front door.

That is so sweet. I do midnight runs to several Wal-marts and hit TRU first thing in the morning but so far no luck in my latest quest. It is frustrating because I find out that some that I was at put them out later.

I also am going to go broke because I saw the list of planned releases for next year. I guess it is all about patience really. I remember last year I would find several Buzz and Woody and Mike and Sully for people and now that is all I find on the shelf. :confused3

Ohhhh NOOOOOOO, please tell me they are not releasing more :faint:
The boys have 2 of every car that has come out so far they open on and the other gets put up. I did not buy duplicates of the originals though I was going to so they can have the complete set put up but with more coming out I will be broke.

I know many people do it each cruise, each week :scared: but I could not wait until the day of the cruise to fly in. We're going two days ahead only because I can not go any sooner at all. :confused3

Now I think I'm all caught up on the posts again!

Jim and I have Palo reservations for dinner, and we have a brunch reservation that will be canceled if we get the private room. I would like to try High Tea, but I'm not going to get upset if we don't get it. I'll call and put my name on the waiting list once we board. It isn't worth rushing around on my vacation!

We spent the day doing all kinds of outside work, getting the yard and all of our yard furnishings ready for winter. We had a bit of sadness, one of our cats passed away yesterday afternoon. She had been sick for a while, and seemed to be recovering, but just stopped eating completely about two days ago. We had a small funeral service this afternoon and made a lovely memorial for her in a quiet corner of our yard. Our other animals seem to be aware that she's missing. They spent a lot of time today just wondering around and looking in all the places where she liked to sleep and play.

Now it's time for me to head off to finish reading some of my other threads, finish washing dinner dishes, finish sorting laundry, finish getting ready for work tomorrow.

Have a good night everyone!

Beth

I'm sorry about your kitty. I complain a lot about our cat, but we've had her so long and she's been through all of our moves with us, that I know it'll be like losing a member of the family when she goes. For all of that, my husband is more attached to her than I am, so I just hate thinking about what he'll go through when the time comes. :sad1:

DH and I were talking about our favorite scenes from movies, not lines, but scenes. They are not always comfortable to watch, but the acting and actions affect us in so many ways. We applaud the writing as well for coming up with the images on screen. Sooooo in no particular order, here are our a couple of ours:

1. The Alec Baldwin scene in "Glengarry Glen Ross". Best 7 minutes of dialog in a movie.

2. When Annie Wilkes hobbles Paul Sheldon in "Misery".

3. When Red walks up to Andy on the beach at the end of "The Shawshank Redemption".

Are there any scenes in films that affect you like that?

The Secret Mickey exchange is just a simple stress free fun way to get excited for the Holidays among the Dis'ers..

We will be sneaking around the ship and hope not to get caught, stuffing a stocking.. ;) I have enough items for everyone and then some :confused3

It can be anything.. Pencils, stickers, mini toys, anything at all..

Ok great! that is easy!!! I was not sure if we were filling a whole stocking and exchanging it but I like this way better! I have lots of little things to do this then! I have over 1000 items in my gift closet - this will be a great way to share little items I have collected! Now to start wrapping them all!

I've been playing with PhotoBucket today. Just click on the photo to activate the movie.

Quick question about ME, if we are flying airtran on the morning of embarkment we would only handle our luggage at our home airport and the next time we see it will be in our room, correct.
On departure we will leave our luggage out that night and will not see it again until we get to our home airport, correct.

two things about your questions:

AirTran is not on the list I found at the port for drop off going back - but people said to call DCL and ask if it is available - more airlines are used for ME than at the port according to other posts.

the other thing is that you leave your luggage out the night before on departure BUT you have to claim them for customs at the port - then you can check them in with the airline if your airline is one of the ones at the port. I purposely fly Northwest to take advantage of this service.

Ok need some input from those who have gone before and spent time at Disney before hand (first cruise we did not time at Disney)
- we have reservations for CP at Epcot on the 7th - the cruise is on the 8th :) as we all know.

We have to fly to Orlando - here are our options:

Fly out the morning of the 6th - Stay at one of the ecomomy disney hotels and then spend the evening resort hopping looking at the decorations or enjoying the hotel, spend the 7th at Epcot and enjoy the CP that night, and then either

1. have checked out of the hotel and have disney transportation take us back to the airport and check into the Hyatt so we can be on the first bus out of the airport to the terminal in morning OR

2. Stay 2 nights at the disney hotel and just get on the bus to the cruise from the hotel.

Our other option is to skip epcot and CP and just fly into MCO on the 7th, spend the night and just enjoy the cruise and not worry about going to the world - and do DW in May when we go for the Repo cruise?

Thanks for any input.

Hi Krisann, good to meet you!

Haven't done it either but that never stops me. ;) We are flying in on the 6th (hoping to catch the shuttle launch!) and staying two nights in Orlando. Mostly b/c I want to take dd to BBB on the morning of the 8th so she can be a princess when we get on the ship. princess: We're renting a car, though, at MCO and dropping it at the port, Budget has no discernible drop off charge. That way we also have Thursday to do a little shopping, get our beverages for the boat, go to DTD...

Good luck figuring it out!

Ooo, that was frustrating.

For the first time EVER I checked for Palo and it took me to the next stage...

Only to show ONLY dinner, ONLY at 7:30 on the first night. Can't happen, even if we wanted--the kids clubs aren't really open that night, are they? Anyway, it might still be there (10:30 Atlantic/9:30 eastern Sunday) if it's useful for anyone else.

But at least now I've seen the booking screen! Maybe next time...:shamrock:

Another "work of art" :lmao: Just click on the photo

My personal choice would be to stay at WDW and then take Disney transportation to the port. Of course, I find every excuse I can to stay at WDW!

Beth

We went last time, dd loved the dancing "princess". We have pics of her with both my kids. My ds, 7, is totally wonder-struck by all the beautiful princesses (and belly dancers!) :lovestruc

I have a question now about the Secret Mickey Exchange

Umm do we wrap the stocking stuffer gifts? or just Pop in the stocking?
:confused3
