How much snow they predicting for you all???

Kristin - Forgot to mention the sea turtle program that's available during the time you are going. It's hard to get into (unless something changed there), but well worth it (it you're into the naturalist stuff).

They are saying 3 to 7 inches. Sounds like that wet heavy stuff.
But then some are saying 10 inches.. Time will tell.

We have our cars parked in there snow formation, Blocks about 1/2 the driveway, cuts down on the amount I have to shovel.

Same here... we don't have any Ordinance about parking in the street during snow we so I strategically place them so our driveway doesn't get plowed in.

I just read what you wrote on a few pages ago about Vero to the kids.. They were soo proud of your son. Sounds like a GREAT Family relaxing vacation. How long were you there for?? I think it sounds Wonderful..

Hey everybody Happy Sunday!! We are expected to get some snow too, not too much. But the grocery store , everybody buying bread, milk and toilet paper !!

Well I'm back, and as usual spent way more then I intended. Just to give a little background, my DH must have ignored all of my comments over the last 12 months that I really really would like a bigger digital camera so I could take better action shots of DD in sports. I already have a Canon A620 which is a great little put in your purse camera but sticks for action or low light shots.

So when I saw the Best Buy box at Christmas I thought yahhhh. Well after 16yrs of marriage I should have really known better. What I did get was a really expensive digital photo frame that does tons of things I will never have time to figure out. After weeks of working up my courage to tell my DH that I really wanted to take it back and get the camera, I bite the bullet and told him... Of course he really didn't care, so I ended up getting a Canon EOS Rebel XT 18-55mm, additional Lens 75 -300MM, Flash, and Case. Taking Case back since it really isn't what I needed. I can't wait to use it on our upcoming trips...

We are also having very snowy weather today, the weather person said less then 1 inch for the day....We are about 4 inches right now.

HI EVERYONE!!! i got great news!!!! me and my kickline team got 1st place in pom pon, 2nd place in kick and 3rd place in lyrical(a jazzy ballet)!!!!!!! it is now 7:44pm right now in new york and i just got home from a long weekend. it was so exciting. i will post up pictures as soon as i can and one of my friends video taped pom and kick for me. i am hoping for a snow day tomorrow!! hahaha

Congrats on the new camera. I have the cannon A95, so I know what you mean about A620. They are times I want a better digtal camera, but I don't take a lot of action shots, but the zoom would be handy

Thanks! We're so proud of him, too. He had an upset stomach today (doesn't appear to be a bug - probably food-related) so he didn't swim. He has a couple of more meets before the Eastern Regionals in Delaware.

Vero is all about relaxation (though the pool chair saving game people played every morning used to get me going some times!!) - you can do as many of the activities as you like. There's even a small miniature golf course!

The sea turtle program ("Turtle Patrol") is offered in June and July when the turtles are nesting and hatching. There's an informative program inside and then a walk on the beach to take a closer look - it lasts about 3 hours (it's an evening program). It's very popular and I'm sure they still have a "lottery" to get in. We found it very educational and fun.

Protection of the turtles is a big deal at the resort. There is limited lighting and the balcony doors are actually tinted.

We were planning on going to Vero this summer, but opted to trade out for something closer because our plans are taking us to WDW in the fall. We might consider Vero for Spring Break 2009.
