I am not on full throttle, I also contribute to the active August 2008 Repo thread which of course is a lot sooner.

Oh gosh we love world of Disney Store too. When we were there in May for Mother's Day weekend we got picked as the family of the Day and we got Mouse Ears and got to meet Cinderella in a private room just us first before any other families it was really neat....I love the layout of that store...............

Sounds a fab day!!! My DS and his DGF are visiting NYC in Feb - we arranged a secret trip as a Christmas prezzie for them both and they are very excited!!! They fly on Valentine's Day - how romantic... :lovestruc

I've told them all about the World of Disney store so I hope they go...

...and we get a day at Castway cay, the Mexican Rivera didnt have that.

That's my only negative about our Mexican Riviera cruise this August - that and our virtually comatose meet thread... BUT we have booked our flights and our DL accommodation already plus our DS is keen on the scuba opportunities so we'll definitely be there... :thumbsup2

...What did you all wear on the last cruise for formal night?????
Has anyone ever hired formalwear that is delivered directly to the Magic??? We're thinking it might be a good idea for us...

I am going to Disneyland CL for four days before our repo cruise in August, staying at the Disneyland hotel this time, last time I was there I went to the Grand Californian hotel.

I have hired formal wear for DCL cruises before but the last two times brought my own, as in 2006 7 days and the Med there was only one formal night and I balanced that against baggage allowance on flights.

I think for this years repo 15 nights with formal nights and a ballroom under the stars I will hire, because its worth it and we are away 21 days, but for 2009 I am unsure maybe not if we just have one formal night. I have 10 days in a villa in Orlando after-wards so we must plan for that albeit that has washing facilities.

We're doing a straight swap, Andrew! :thumbsup2 We're on the last Mexican Riviera and disembark on the day you guys set off for the Repo! We then head to the DLH for a few nights... :goodvibes

Yes, we stayed at GCH for NYE 2005 - gorgeous hotel (I'm v excited by the prospect of DVC there) BUT I really wanted to stay at DLH - it's the orginal... :cloud9:

Yes a straight swap, I liked the GCH We stayed there for four nights last time, good location we asked to overlook the monorial and did, the extra entrance to DCA park was nice, But I wanted something different this time so went for DLH in 08.

I know that feeling, I was on the thread for the week before your cruise and ours was nearly on life support. I quess some threads only get busy when the cruise is close at hand.

Andrew. sounds like we may be at DL at the same time.
Currently our plans has us at the HoJo across from DL Aug 13 - 17th,

On the 15th I will celebrate my birthday. I really hope the Electric parade is still operating at the Calif Adventure.

The thread for my Med cruise was slow for the first 12 months, but as the cruise became close it became very active, its a marathon not a sprint, and whilst a number of people book early, many book within the last few months as they cannot commit to dates or cash

Kristin,

Way to go,

Andrew, Unless we suddenly do not need to work, I don't think we will catch a few of these posters.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am not worried, I spend less time on the boards nowadays and as I am in the UK, often I cannot chat/post, the same as people in the USA, all threads get active in my nighttime so its catch up in the mornings, but often no one around.

However with a few Brits on this one it might be more active, the same as our Med one where there was a healthy bunch of Brit cruisers.

Good evening all , the weekend is here , for a 3 day work week it sure seemed longer

You can say that again!!! This is a week I'd rather not repeat. :) But last night we had a retirement party so it was the perfect way to unwind and socialize with the co-workers outside of work!

Thanks Abby.

The Gymboree ones came today and they are soo very cute....
What did you all wear on the last cruise for formal night?????

I wore a long black skirt and dressy top. DH wore a suit. Gwynne wore a black velvet dress and Hayden wore black dress pants, long sleeved button down shirt and tie. I am definitely buying a dress for the next one and I want to get Gwynne something a little fancier too. DH was griping because he had to dress up for Palo, formal night, and semi-formal night. So he boycotted semi-formal night. This time I want to do Palo brunch so I'll only torture him with two nights of dressing up.

I wore similar and really want to dress up a little more next time! DH wore a lovely new navy suit and different coloured shirts for the formal (blue) and our VR/Palo's (pink) and TBH I'd be happy for him to do the same again BUT DS is sooo keen to get his hands on a white tux, DH's having to raise his formal game... :goodvibes :rotfl2:

I think this is my only chance to get my post count up because after you all are done with next summer's cruises I probably will do a lousy job keeping up here!! I hope not though!

Hey................ I have 19 months to convince DS that tuxes are REALLY cool! If DS says he wants to wear a tux then there is no way DH would not wear one. He was suggesting renting one for the last cruise but I said it wasn't necessary. Silly me!
