Your Annual Picnic sounds neat...What is that all about????

It started about 15 years ago, It's new years day and we didn't want to cook anything big, as its just a day to hang out and relax.

The first one we did, there was a snow storm outside, and our appartment at the time was on the thrid floor in the dead center of the building.

All the buildings heat would rise and we would get the benefit of that. We never had to turn on the heat, but our air conditioner bill was high lol,

We joked it was so hot it could be july and we should be on a picnic.

So we had an indoor picnic, Burger and hot dogs on a little electric grill

Every New Year day since we have had our indoor picnic.

I have to work all day, then we are making ice cream sundaes and watching Ratatouille with my DD. We're really going all out, aren't we? We used to go all out every year, but after we had my DD, we just hang with her.

That sounds like a great plan for New Years eve

I know what you are talking about, Been the same here for the last 10 years. Not a bad way to avoid the problems on the road on New Years eve.

We had this option this year but we decided to do something just the 4 of us. I don't mind staying home but I'd rather do something kid oriented or spend it at home with other families.

We're actually trying to see if my BFF, her DH and DS can come over and hang with us too.

DH has to return to work tomorrow..Not sure how I am going to fair alone with the kids. Hoping my mom can make it over tomorrow..........

Today, was a bit better. I had a GREAT Nights sleep last night and am hoping for another one again tonight!!!!!!!!! I am really really exhausted tonight though...........Trying to wean myself off the meds. but I think the dr. is right I will need them for at least a week if not more.............
