We actually visited both of those in 2006. It was part of a surprise birthday trip from my wife that summer. I'm a long-time Reds fan (long-story, too!). I usually catch a Reds game once a year when they come into Philadelphia. My last trip out to Ohio was in 1990 when they won the World Series. I asked for tickets to see the Reds in '06 and was expecting to see them in Philly. My wife put together a nice family trip out to Ohio & Kentucky and I was able to see two games. We also took in a lot of the other sites as well. All this talk about Cincy has been craving some Skyline Chili.....

Hershey is pretty fun (though we aren't actually too fond of Hershey chocolate!). It's odd though - they have "character appearances", breakfasts, and so forth. No Mickey or Cinderella here though - it's 6 foot walking candy bars!

Your Ohio visit sounds like quite a trip! I have never been to a Red's game either. I pay my company's season ticket costs every year and every now and then they offer their tickets to us, but I've still never been. Pretty pathetic since they are only an hour away.

I'm not so sure about my daughter and 6 foot candy bars! She was freaked out enough by princesses, and big, furry animals. Candy bars might be the death of her! That's good to know though in case we ever do make it to Hershey!

This illness has really beat you all down! Is it going around widespread over there? We had several people call in sick Friday from the flu.

I don't have any real great scenic pictures to share but here are a couple of DH and me goofing off in Palo. My sis and her DH also made silly faces, and I'm going to do a scapbook page of the 4 of us looking so grown up! I really tried to size these down because quite frankly, that much of a close up of me is kind of scary. I couldn't get the re-size to save so happy Sunday morning anyway. I hope you've had your coffee.

Not much I have to work all day, and so I have a bottle of champagne to drink at home later, thats about it.

My neighbors put on a large fireworks show at midnight, so we know when its 2008.

Good point, also over Christmas I have had to travel to relatives a lot, and there was little on the roads, but it was far slower as lots of occasional drivers were out driving at 15mph.-Maybe Sunday drivers, maybe had a few too many?
