I love our new group name!! My DD will be 7 a month after we cruise. She would probably love to meet a few friends before and on the ship. Here we are on our 7 night Eastern September 15-22, 2007. We were at WDW the week before our last cruise, and it was the best vacation ever. We will probably do the same for this cruise.

Great! Thank you for sharing!!!! Yay! Another 7 year old girl! Yes, let's definitely get these girls familiar with eachother closer to the cruise. My DD is fairly shy so I think it would make all the difference to her to get to know other girls before the cruise. My DS will jump right in and play with anyone who will play with him, so I don't worry about him too much in regards to making friends.

My DD will be seven as well. I think so far there are 4-seven year old girls in this group on the board. They will have a great time!

We are flying in the day before and then flying home the last day of the cruise, so no WDW trip planned. I only get 2 weeks vacation (while dh gets 7!!) so I try to keep one week for vacation then the other week to use throughout the year when needed.

Oh, if I were you I would totally keep one week to use at another time...Where will you stay the night before?? If you wanted to stay at SSR, in WDW let me know. I am sure I can get you a cash ressie with my DVC discount...

Thank you very much for your offer! Depending on how late we fly in, we'll probably end up staying at the Hyatt at the airport, unless we can fly in earlier. In October we didn't get in until almost midnight because I had to work and the kids had school on Friday. I am hoping to take all of Friday off before this cruise and the kids won't be in school yet. We'll know closer to cruise time. DH will take two weeks off for the cruise. (must be nice. lol)

I love your photo..Your daughter is soo cute....THat is what we did for our Halloween cruise and it was the best vacation ever..Where did you stay??

I have a GREAT friend who lives in MD~~met her here on the dis. She lives in Adbindgon, MD......

Maybe, once I get the website up for our cruise we can put some family photos on there too. That is what we have for our October cruise pictures, etc.....

For our Oct. cruise they are going to have to miss school. So we will not be able to go down as early as we would like too. But it is the Columbus Day holiday so we will be able to go down a few days before.
Both my cruise threads are very active.. I love it.....
If you do not mind me asking what do you do for work??

Oh the girls are going to get along then. These are Hanna and Hope's favorites too.. I got them at the Disney store...

He struggles with school alot, so we decided after this last trip that we'd keep vacations to summer time. DD did fine getting back into the swing of it though. I work in accounting for a concrete company, have been an accounting peon for 11 years. I was a travel agent in my former life. LOL Do you work outside of the home?

I'm trying to get her to come along with her family again. But after they saw the prices, I think they may end up going in Oct. 2009. I'm also trying to get my step-sister and her family to come along, but I don't know if they will.

Our last cruise thread was VERY active. They are one of the most active threads again for their Oct. 2009 reunion cruise (10/28/09 the Big Bash on the Boat is the name, or something like that). I had a very difficult time keeping up with the old thread, and this new one looks even more active than the old one! They are a great bunch of people.

We were all for taking the kids out of school in Oct. but then after we got back, it was so difficult to get DS back on track. I hear you. We took the kids out of school for seven school days in Sept. it was fine but they are also in K. Next, year they will miss since we are cruising in OCT. But the older they get I imagine the harder it must be to take them out. I tease DH all of the time and say school does not work with all of our WDW vacations..LOL!!!

Oh you have the job that I would love someday. I would love to be a travel agent. No, I do not work outside of the home. I used to be a first grade teacher in my days before the twins.. I have been a stay at home mommy for the last five almost six years. I love it but at times it has been very loooooong days. But my DH used to work far from home and travel a ton. But not anymore he has the BEST job ever and only three miles from home so I am much more lucky now to have him closer to home with very little travel only to NYC once in a while....But there we can go with him......

OOH, that would be FUN for all of you if they came along..I know I was shocked when I saw the prices for this cruise used to going in the off season. But my TA seemed to come through for me like always. The OBC was amazing!!! I am happy that each time she can offer me such a GREAT OBC....What she has done for our Oct. cruise is GREAT.. She grouped us all together so our cruise price went down and all of the amenties she is given us for that cruise we can not beat it.. I am hoping she will be able to pull enough together for this cruise so we can get a group price as well..

That must have been fun last cruise with such an active thread....Did you want to go with the same group in 09 too?? But since it was Oct. it would have been hard with school and all....???

To me, the most difficult job in the world is a stay-at-home parent. So kuddos to you!!! I did love travel. My favorite job was a mix of corporate and vacation travel. But it was extremely stressful and low pay. I only did it for 4 years and burned out quickly. But I would love to get back into it on the side, only the industry has changed drastically in the past 11 years. Accounting suits me very well, so I'd like to do both. It is something you should look in to when the time comes. I went to school for travel but I believe many agencies will train on the job. Keep it in mind!

Since my sis went with us on the last cruise, we pretty much stuck to ourselves and other than the wine tasting didn't have much interaction with the group, except in passing. She wasn't involved in the thread at all so didn't know anybody. Many of them grew very close, so I can see why they are planning a reunion. I hope the same for this group! My goal is to stay active on here for the next 20 LONG months!

Nice speaking with you too. I can not believe I am still up....I think if you have the right TA...then it is ok. I have not had any trouble with this TA. She is nothing but GREAT...If your interested she will give you a great deal plus obc...Just an FYI!!!!

I know that is how it was on my first cruise... I think this group is going to really get to know one another...We seem really "chatty."

Hopefully, I can keep up on both threads...LOL!!!!!
