You got THAT right!! They are way more spoiled than I ever was. They better remember that down the road! My talks of starving people across the world who would give anything to eat that Hamburger Helper or prodding them to give away barely used toys to children who'd be happy to have them usually fall on deaf ears. When they are fighting over who is going to let me move in with them (forget the nursing home), I will remind them!

I've got a plan - whoever wants our DVC points has to look after us. Simple.

Kristin,

HH is great, we went there for Spring Break a couple of years ago the weather was really nice 70's and the crowds were pretty low since summer is their busy time.

The resort is really nice, not right on the beach but it is on a bay so you can Kayak(we did this and had a blast), ride bikes, and swim. They have individual buildings that are nestled in trees, with walking paths through out. They also have a really nice kids program - movies, sing along camp fire etc. It is also right next to Shelter Cove (i think), there you can find shops, and restr all within walking distance. Disney has a Beach House w/ a pool, arcade and quick svc restr. right on the beach that is really nice and a shuttle that will take you back and forth.

Denise

HH is very nice - laid back, too. The feature pool is much more popular (and bigger) than the pool at the Beach House. You are right about the kids activities (though not as big as Vero). Hilton Head is an excellent destination as well - lots of tennis and golf opportunities. We also enjoy biking all over the island as well when we are there.

Important note is that there is no restaurant on site. There is limited counter service at the resort and the Beach House for breakfast and lunch. They have two dinner events in the summer - BBQ and a Shrimp Boil. Both are pretty good - though very overpriced. Hilton Head has a ton of excellent restaurants (some offer DVC discounts, too). A couple are within walking distance in Shelter Cove, but most have to be driven to. We tend to utilize the kitchen facilities most often here.

There was a card in the package that had the magnet. Magnet has DVC contact info and your membership #.

Ooops - I didn't see that - too impatient ripping it open, I guess... I'll check again... ;)

Do they regularly add different locations? That is very cool, all the places they do have! Probably when the kids are grown and gone we'll do something like that! (timeshare somewhere) DH really wants to move to the Carolina's after the kids are grown but we will go wherever they go (like stalkers :rotfl: ), so who knows where we'll end up.

They have continued to add locations since we first bought back in 1996. Right now there is HH, Vero, and WDW (Old Key West, Boardwalk, Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Saratoga Springs). Animal Kingdom Villas are under construction (some are open) and they have announced future DVC properties in Hawaii and California. Other options include trading out to other properties (WDW, DL, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong); DCL; Adventures by Disney; various non-Disney resorts/hotels; and other timeshares (worldwide).

Sounds really really nice I had a ressie there for cash last summer and cancelled it when I could not get decent flights down there... I think they recommend that you fly into Savannah Georgia........

I am hoping that the Contemporary will be announced soon. We took a private Wishes Fireworks cruise while we were there in September and the man driving the boat told us that was true about DVC being built there..................

Well Hope did not have a fever this afternoon at all. So looks like back to school tomorrow. The teacher sent home five pages of work for her to do.. Come on this is Kindergarten people.... It is soo hard to be on this side. I was a teacher before the having the Twins and even taught at the school my kids go to...So it is hard to be on this side of the "fence."

My brother got his IV meds. and is doing better my mom said.. Thank goodness for my mom and dad. They will surely be happy that DH is now taking them with us on our cruise in October. My kids are very excited.............

Well still at work late, at least they're feeding us again. Pizza tonight! We also have a big TV we rolled into our department to watch American Idol.:goodvibes

Anyone watching Lost tomorrow night???????

Looks like the DVC planner that all of the points remained the same as last year..........
