And a very good morning to you, Ed (tho' it's afternoon now!!!) how are you feeling today??? How's Caitlin's ankle and I hope your good lady wife is good too???

Enjoy!!! I went car hunting today and now my brain hurts!!! At this rate I'm just gonna replace like with like AND THAT'S BORING!!!! Also had some great car salesman experiences - don't they realise they lose points for talking down to me just because I'm a lady..?? And as for the showroom where they totally ignored me and talked amongst themselves - well!!! Ah well, I guess it whittles the choices down...

I love when they do that, they just start talking to my DH about the financing and the car. He always says to them, ask my wife. The man can't even write a check , let alone balance a checkbook. He thinks it is my job, because I have always worked at banks. But that's OK, because if anything messes up on the computer, it's his job to fix that. Gotta love it!!

Well after he 'break' we have a new thread now but its ap ity we have temporally lost the other one

I forgot to say good morning everyone, and good afternoon to some!! The boards do seem a little faster today.

They are faster which means a good chance of a thread limit coming in.

I love when they do that, they just start talking to my DH about the financing and the car. He always says to them, ask my wife.

I've been sourcing, choosing cars, getting the best price for the existing car and arranging finance for decades and I'm still amazed that there are dinosaurs out there who look past me to see if my DH is with me as they don't know how to deal with a woman!!! I actually had a guy say to me "So is this a decision you can make on your own?" I said, "Wait, I'll just check with my psychiatrist!" Couldn't believe it!!! Needless to say, I walked...

We are doing ok, Caitlin went back to school today, but the school office staff needs to use some common sense.

We dropped Caitlin off early as she had band practice before school
The staff didn't want to let Beth assist her carrying her things,(clarinet, books, backpack) they said she had to do it herself ( including the crutches). Luckily a sub teacher was going that way and helped her.

They don't like parents in the classroom in this school. Been that way from day one.

Needless to say, I called the Princal and gave him my thoughts about his staff. (It has now been addressed)

No problem with that, most thread will never reach 10,000 posts. For the others (including this one) we will just need to get used to haviing a V 2.0. 3.0 and more of the thread.

Maybe the system could be coded in a way to close the old thread once it hits 10,000 and then copy the first post as the new version 2 edition.

All you need to do with salespeople like that, is say,
Yes I can, and I've decided to go elsewhere

Thanx Abby! I was reading up about it yesterday and it isn't a great situation - sounds like surgery isn't always the best decision tho'...

It's good that she is weighing all of her options. I really hope she finds what is best for her. It's a tough road to be on.

Hi Everyone! We are home again today...But my dd is feeling much better, ate breakfast and all is good! Last night I got kicked out of the boards and could not get back in...Saw a few of you managed to still post...It was terriblly slow...

Hi Paula!!! Hope you and your DD are feeling better today... We'll have to see if these new DIS alterations make the site any faster. Took me forever to get on earlier and then I couldn't post so gave up... Fingers crossed it's working now!!!

That is just crazy!! Sometimes you have to wonder what those teachers are thinking...I know Paige is on Student Council and the drama club and has to be there early on meeting days and the teacher watching the halls wont let her go because she said she never heard an announcement..Even though we have a note saying to drop them off 30 minutes early! Glad you called the principal, it is such ashame that we have to do that with some of these teachers
