Lows

1. First few days in the parks were too crowded - Ride times were so long!
I've never seen it so busy and was really hoping that it wouldn't be like this the rest of the week. The park become less busy towards the end of the week ...but I think that's only because it kept raining.
2. Rain. ( Obviously not disney's fault - just gutting when it is our first summer season at disney)
3. Walt's. We had 3 reservations for here and ended up cancelling our last meal because the other two were not good.
First meal and service were bad. The sirloin steak off the Half Board Plus Menu was like a cheap piece of meat (fatty and not good) all 3 adults had this and it was the same for all of us. I didn't like my dessert either - the French toast made with spice bread. Our server couldn't even be bothered to bring us the bill when we asked because she was too busy and just told us to leave our vouchers ( Hmmmm ok....never seen this done before and it seemed quite rude!)
We thought we would give them another try and even though the food was much nicer ( We went for the Classic Selection Menu and paid the extra) again the server wasn't good. My husbands starter was cold. They brought out the kids starters with all our mains this time (they had forgot to bring them out with our starters) and on top of that they brought out 3 wrong starters and they also brought out the wrong drink for me.
So after two bad visits we cancelled the third. On our previous trip here we had enjoyed everything so we were really disappointed to have two bad dining experiences this time.
3. Smoking.
4. Coming across 4 really rude cm's.
5. People climbing over you while you're waiting for the parade - My daughter got kicked in the head.
6. Inventions for dinner - Rude server who was trying to rush us and put the bill down on our table even though we hadn't been up for desserts yet and then come back for us to pay after we had returned with our desserts. We wouldn't have minded if we were dragging our time out here but we were eating quite fast and the restaurant was pretty empty so there was no need for him to make us feel rushed. This really annoyed me.
7. Didn't see hardly any characters around the park this visit which was really disappointing.
8. Annettes - We didn't like the burgers here this time - yuk!
9. Cafe Mickey - Food wasn't the best and the character interaction was lacking compared to our last trip.

Highs

1. Dreams - Loved it!

2. Fantillusion. ( First time we've seen it)

3. Tarzan show.

4. Hakuna Matata - We all enjoyed this meal (Spiced chicken strips & fries meal) My husband actually thought this meal was the best he'd had this trip.

5. Inventions. We had Lunch & Dinner here. Loved the food choices here..but prefered the dinner over lunch because there were slightly more choice and better main choices in my opinion. Absolutely loved the mash (at dinner) i'd say it was the best mash i've ever eaten it was that good! Like I said previously the only downside was the server we had at dinner here.

6. DHL breakfast - We had 3 breakfasts here and really enjoyed them. Even the croissants and pan au chocolat pastry is so much better than those on offer at the lower end hotels.

7. Our Cheyenne rooms were so much nicer this trip (Billy the kid) they looked like they had been refurbed compared to the our last stay at ( Running Bear) no complaints at all with our hotel this time.

8. Kids loved Autopia and BTM (The kids hadn't done these on previous trips).

9. Earl Of Sandwich - Loved the sandwiches here and loved the bread pudding!

Can't think of anymore at the min...

We had planned on going back next year but after this visit we have decided to give it a miss and save for America instead. This trip was definitely lacking and all 3 of us adults thought it was no where near as magical as our previous trips.

Its such a shame to hear your report however I can understand a lot of where you are coming from.

It can be so magical but there seems a fair few staff that really shouldnt be working in Disneyland. Iv never been to WDW but my ex used to work there and he told me about the training and the way the staff treated the customers and the way they all loved doing magical things for the customers.

It really is making me want to save up for WDW too although I dont seem to be able to save long enough!

In my opinion DLP needs repeat visitors and management need to address the constant complaints about staff, smoking and toilets. Its not a cheap holiday and by fixing a few loose ends people would return year after year.

thanks for posting your highs and lows - I was hoping by high summer season they'd have more characters around and more trained staff in the restaurants etc. Clearly not eh?

Welcome back :wave2: shame you had such bad restaurant experiences :( but it's good that you've got some highs too.
