So I don't have to look back what time and where was the CM beach meet?
For those less organized, like myself, would you post all the meets one more time so i can copy them down this time.
thanks.

HoosierMouseFan - We have lived in Maryland for about 19 years. We moved here after college (PURDUE). We live in a little town called West Friendship, it is about 15 minutes outside of Columbia. I grew up at a house on the corner of 106th and Keystone. My family moved there when I was going into ninth grade so I went to Carmel Jr. High for one year and then Carmel High School. Carmel High School is a great school. They have so many things for kids to get involved with like sports, band, choir, debate, theater, etc... There is nothing out here that compares. I am coming back there in August to visit with my Mom and Dad and of course go to the Indiana State Fair which my DD's love (got to have that ear of corn dipped in butter!!! ). I have to say that I love living on the East coast with the mountains and ocean so close.

With so many of us going on David and Ivan's tour we ought to try and meet up to catch cabs when we arrive at CM.

I told my DD's that a week from today we will be getting on the boat. I don't know who is more excited :hyper: , me or the girls.

Susan

Wendy-You will make it!!! If you have to "cut corners" a bit, I say just give all the students "A's" in everything and call it a day! You'll be done and the kids/parents will be estatic!! :Pinkbounc

I was wondering what others are doing with regards to letting their kids check themselves in and out of the kids club. I know the last time we were on the cruise our oldest DD was 10 and she didn't stay in the club as much as the younger one. This meant we spent more time walking back and forth to the club. Now that she is 12 I am going to let her check herself in and out. They can page the parents to let them know where they are headed but we don't have to go get her. My other DD is 8 (almost 9) and will be in the same club as the older but I am hesitant to let her check herself in and out as she is still pretty young. My fear is that she will want to leave the same time as the older and we will still be trekking back and forth to the clubs. What are other people doing with their kids?

Susan

It has been a while for me, but I thought they had to be 10 before they could check themselves out?

When DS was 10, we just had them page us when he checked out so we knew he was leaving.

That's pretty cool Charla. Are you going there? That was one of the places we had considered and it sounded great. I hope it is in good condition. We are still scheduled for a snorkel excursion.

Sujo - We are letting our girls check out themselves. We did this on the last cruise with strict instructions for our younger DD. She had to have us paged to let us know where she was going. She couldn't just leave and randomly roam around the ship. She knew that if she broke the rules her privledges (sp?) would have been revoked. She did really well. I know that this has been debated on other threads. Some people feel comfortable giving their kids some freedom and others are not comfortable with it. I think a lot depends on your own children and you know them better than anybody else.

Yes, we are going. There is not a lot to do with a toddler, so I had really hoped that we would get to go to Chankanaab...now we will! I'm sure the storm damage will still be evident, but that is ok.

1 week from now we'll be in the Walt Disney theater!!!
2 weeks from now we'll be home crying that it's over----I hate that part!!!

We are letting our 10 yr old check himself out. He is familiar with the Magic from previoius cruises so we are comfortable that he'll find us. Last time he did not spend a lot of time in the clubs. It seemed most kids were there with someone and he didn't make any firends to hang out with, plus on that cruise my neice was with us who is close to his age. I hope he meets someone this time.

Thanks for reposting all the meets. I'm sure you have an exact count--how many dismembers are on our cruise?

Beth A-Here's my best guess on the count. There are a few names on the original list that I'm pretty sure are not going at this time, but I didn't take their name off since they didn't officially say they were not going.

My guess is 35 disers with a total of 126 people. I did not include the above and I only counted the immediate family members.

I know, I need to get a life!!! :rotfl:

Go Lorie! :woohoo:
We saw the Disney Live magic show today. We had second row seats with no one in front of DD. It was a great way to kick off our Disney spree! It was a cute show. Mickey and Minnies eyes blinked and my DD was so impresssed! We are soooo ready to leave for WDW. :figment: :stitch: :goofy: :sulley: :tigger: :mickeyjum :donald:

DD will probably have check out priveledges, but will have to let me know where she is or she will lose that priveledge.

OK DISers, this is my official "good-bye". I am signing off to finish packing (after three trips to Wal-Mart and three to Walgreens in the last week) and then an early flight to Orlando. I probably won't have Internet access, so the next time you hear from me will be Friday or Saturday! Hope you all have a good week, we'll see you soon!

Marie

Hi guys, I made it back from Orlando in time to start packing again and finish final plans for the cruise.

BethA,
My son who is 9 will be in the kids club and we have no one with us. Maybe our sons could meet up. Also, my DW said if you let us know the name of your sons roomate at WVU she may know him.

We have been talking all day about " A week from today at this time we will be on our DC doing......"

What is everyone planning to wear on CM on the Dave and Ivan Tour?

Bye Marie!! Have a safe trip!!!

Jeff, a week from now, I will probably be so worn out, I may on my way to a great night's sleep. Between my sleep medicine, my dramamine, a drink (ok maybe 2) and the rocking of the ship, this is when I sleep the best!!!
