06/24/2006 - Special Western Cruise - Who Else!?

I've only heard about a meet once on the ship at 4:30 on deck 10 port side of the ship.
When I read Lorie's post about getting to the terminal early, I was wondering if there was a way for people to hook up while they waited to board the ship. We should make a big foam poster board with "DIS Double Dippers" on it...I would do it, but we are flying in and I don't think it would travel well. Probably isn't fun for anyone to pack in a car either. Oh well, we can just keep looking for the lime green!

With the new check in they will give you a boarding number and then you are free to roam around! Yeah no more waiting in line :woohoo: ! I'm sure Disers will just start congregating together once as they start to arrive.

Sorry, just had to post one more quickly for my Graduation! I have finally Earned My Ears! :earsgirl: Thanks to everyone! :thanks: I can feel the pixie dust falling all around. pixiedust:

Happy Memorial Day to all!

Princess Vija- While I would love to take credit for sending you a magnet, I think it must of been one of the other Beth's? I have made several for myself and 1 for my friend. I would post them, but I haven't a clue how to do that :confused3 If I can find more magnet paper I can make a few others if someone needs.

Lori- Only clothes shopping is done. I am sure I can find more misc. items to purchase ::yes::

My DD and I will be wearing lime green at the Port on Saturday. We will look for others wearing lime green too! :jumping1:

Well I for one will be wearing my fabulous lime green foam glasses ( purchased from Michael's if any are interested!!!)

Rainforest-I guess I didn't word that very well. I didn't mean that you could go in try and then decide. I meant that when you visit on the 1st day you could go into it, look around and step in the rooms to see if you could tolerate it. They don't mind if you check out the facilities. Sorry for any misconfusion!!!

Charla-Thanks for the info on the hoppers, I'll have to check it out!

Oh yeah p. 92, piece of cake!! :cake:

No confusion here, that's how I interpreted it pixiedust:

Lorie - You are welcome.

We picked up our embarkation photo last night. When it was taken we were against a screen that looked like an old fashioned treasure map. When we picked it up it was now an 8x10 and had a large blue border abound it that says 2 x the Magic and listed the ports and the date.

What is everyone wearing to embark? BB and DD are wearing lime green shirts. Lorie will be stylin in her glasses :3dglasses I will probably wait to see a pic of the embarkation phote from the first group and decide based on that :)

I agree with you Charla! I don't really have anything lime green, however, David might were his lime green shirt. But I just don't know what to wear yet. :confused3

HI:
I'll be seen in lime green on deck 10! Know I can say I've worn this shirt twice! (last year too!)
Lori: Did you find Art's online? We still need to book a shuttle. Also can you make me a memo board too? Very simple "Mahoney Family"
Thanks! I'll pay you back onboard, konk coolers on me too, for all you help!

Paradise Beach in Cozumel looks all fixed up! I spent several hours reading new reviews on cruisecritic and it looks like this beach will be where we go in Coz. They have food, jet skis, parasailing, water tramp. water iceberg, and great margaritas! They also have a snorkel catamaran tour from their beach!
Happy Memorial Day! :Pinkbounc

Wendilyn, not sure if you are interested in this or not, but we were able to rent 2 one way cars for $60 total.

Marie-I would call a private company instead of all the extra travel back to the airport and then to the port. We're using Art's shuttle for this. They use nice vans for this portion. It will be $200 (with tip) for resort to port and port to airport. We are being picked up at 9 at the resort since I want an early boarding card.

Although the bus is convenient, one thing to consider is your luggage. Will they let you put it on and take it off the bus yourself. I would be worried it wouldn't end up with on 2 legs.

We have used other private companies in the past, but Art's was the cheapest and the last time they were great.!
Lorie, we put down our flight for our return after the cruise. Since that is an airline that doesn't have resort direct check-in for your flight, we would have to get our luggage back to take it through security at the airport. Instead of checking in, we will take it with us to the DCL bus at Side A. So I am not worried about them losing it. However, I would be upset if we didn't get to the terminal early enough to get on the ship right away.

I thought I would check at the ME desk at SSR when we arrive, and see what they think about Saturday. We could take a private van back to the airport rather than ME if it doesn't leave early enough for us. Since we have already paid for our airport-port/port-airport transfers, it is better for us to go back to the airport from the resort rather than paying to go all the way to the port on Saturday.

Wendy-I memo board coming up!!! Konk Kooler-ah I was just out in the sun getting a start on my tan so I'm not a lobster the 1st day after CC.

Art's is 1-800-567-5099. However, if you are at a hotel at the port, I would call a cab. Art's will not pick you up until 12 when you are in Cocoa Beach. M & H taxi is 321-784-4499. I would call a few weeks ahead (oh that's now :teeth: ) and then make sure you call again on the morning of 6-24.

I'm basing that on you staying at the Radisson. Sorry if I missed any changes.

If anyone can't find lime green clothes, go to Michaels and purchase the fabulous glasses for $1.

Boy! Go to the pool for a couple of hours and ya'll get busy! My lime green shirt just happens to be a Castaway Cay one from our first cruise. DD picked out a pluto shirt at the Disney Store that is closest to a lime green as we could get.
We will definetly make the 100 pages! Got to go check the live report!

Guess what I'm watching - the Travel Channel MK special!

Anything to pass the time :hourglass

I was so excited and turned to TC, but here its Natural Wonders of Hawaii from 5 to 6. :guilty: I want Disney too!!!

I just read on the cruise critic site that the Carnival Miracle is slated for the pier on our Cozumel day. Here is to hoping the DCL pier will be open by then pixiedust:

I have some catching up to do. We went away for the weekend and the weather was great !!

Jillpie, we are almost neighbors. I live and work in the area so there is no long commute. I have a son 11 yrs, daughter 8 yrs and another son 4 yrs old. Nice to meet you.

Charla, Did you say you booked two one way rentals for $60 total? Which agency did you use? I need to book a one way from the airport then a one way back. We used Budget the last time. I need to shop around quickly.

I used Budget, and yes the 2 one way rentals totalled $60 together :cool1:
