05/24-05/31/14 - The Disney Fantasy, (Bob) Marley and Me on The FANTASTICAL VOYAGE!

Trina----I've updated your room number on page 1 in the roll call and the room call, but we are lacking the names for the rest of your family. Forgive me if I just haven't gotten to a post yet where you have supplied the info....working the updates one at a time...at a time...at a time...at a time.... ;)

Hi,

Sorry, we just returned from vacation and I haven't been on this page much.

My DH is Mark, DS(12) Jacob and DS (11) is Trystan.

I would love to have more info on the FE because right now we are leaning more towards not participating simply because of threads I have read about it. Will there be a limit on the number or rooms? I have read threads where like 40 rooms participated and that just seems like ALOT of extra things to pack and ALOT of time to pass them all out. Educate me on how this works. :)

We would love to participate in the meet and greet and mixology.

Past DCL cruises: 5 night double dip on the Dream 2012, 3 night Dream May 2013 (Just DH & I)

Celebrations: No real celebration except the end of school year and we are on a DCL cruise!! :cheer2:

Trina:

No worries. There will be a limit of 20 rooms per group, most likely fewer. I think we had 3 groups of 16 for the last cruise.

Great, that sounds a lot more manageable. I'm still kind of at a loss as to what kind of FE gifts to use. I am not crafty and not sure where to even get the FE.

Do you give gifts for everyone in the room or a gift for the entire room? Sorry, I'm not well versed in FE. I normally skip the threads that discuss them because I never thought we would be interested in participating but we may this time if I can figure it out. ;)

Search on etsy.com for Fish Extender. I know there's someone on there that makes and sells them. If you have even a 'little' bit of crafty in you, there are directions on making a 'no sew' FE in the FE 101 post I think. I have a bunch of links and information on this whole FE thing on the FE Spreadsheet, tab 3 "FE Guidelines".

Easy peasy to figure out the FE stuff. Just go to the third tab on the spreadsheet (link is in my signature). Most, if not all, of the information you need is on there.

I will check it out. Thank you!

We've been on vacation on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire for the past three and a half weeks. I've neglected all things Disney for that long - shocker - right??? Something about gorgeous sunsets...well guess what - the minute I got back to civilization, I am back in the saddle and the cruise is back on my mind..
What have I missed?
I reviewed the FE list and sent a message to JohnPA to add us as Participants...I see our party is growing! YEAH!!
What else??

Hi :wave2:

I finally finished my trip report and did manage to find some pics online to include with the Palo section.:surfweb: I hope you will finish reading it.

I hope you all had a great vacation. :)

Let's bump this group back up to page one :cool1:!! I hope everyone is having a good summer and is anxiously anticipating our cruise as much as I am :). We have been busy getting Jake ready to head to Kent State in a few weeks to begin his Master/PhD program in Physics. I know that there will be lots and lots of tears in the next few weeks, as I will miss him terribly . He is a pretty great kid, as some of our previous cruise DIS friends know :thumbsup2. We have Brian's brother and his family coming in soon for a two week stay; staying at our house where other family members will be converging :crowded:. Maybe I should run away and cruise NOW ::yes::!!!!

After much debating and delays, I finally booked this cruise last week using our dummy and came to look for this thread tonight.

Welcome Tamie & crew! We also made GOLD on our last cruise - first milestone down. I know what you mean about cruises being your happy place. Nothing more relaxing. I tried to talk Pam into the WBTA but she balked at airfare and all that time off. Oh well, 7 days at a time then. :)

We're just a couple of weeks away from our WDW vacation. Can you say "YOU'RE NUTS!". I know, right? Super hot, humid and CROWDED. But it's the only time our cohorts in crime can take off since they have kids in college and the one that graduated became a teacher! He should have known that would screw up his Disney vacations.:rotfl: I prepurchased the Photopass+ for our group. I think that should work well. The teacher is bringing his GF down, and it's her first time, so I figured we should get as many photos as possible.

Then we have an Eastern Caribbean Fantasy cruise in November. Not doing any of the planning for that one. And no FE either. But we're part of the WDW Radio Podcast group, so we'll get to talk with Ridley Pearson, author of the "Kingdom Keeper" series.

Just before that, in September, we'll be welcoming our second grandchild, a boy! DS Jake and wife are having their first. Already planning his and our 2 year old granddaughter's first trip to the World.

Other than that, nothing's going on. (and yeah, I'm starting to pack for the trip in two weeks.)

Want to see what categories are sold out already? Want to see how much the price has gone up for your category?

Take a look at our cruise on CruiseFish.net to see current prices.

(Still available: 1 Bedroom Suites and all veranda categories)

That sounds like fun! I'm actually reading those books right now. I know...meant for kids, but they are fun. And since we've never been to Disney, I thought maybe by the time we go, I'll have some idea about what is in the parks. :) I'm on book 5 now, the one on the ship...can't wait until they go on the cruise!

Congrats on the grandbaby! That must be really exciting!

Hi, I was reading on a thread that is not a good idea to give the mini rum bottle as a F E gift. What would you think of that, are you interest in receive one?

My husband would love it, and I would have no problem with it. I'll be drinking my share of rum...in my piña coladas while onboard! :)

Personally, if you're in my group, forget the mini bottles and give me a BIG ol' bottle of rum!

I do understand that it can be a touchy thing. Some folks have worked hard to stay away from spirits, or don't imbibe for other reasons and then there's the problem with kids stealing them.

So to again answer the question without jumping on a soapbox (enough of that in the other thread), I have no problem if I receive 'the demon rum'! ;)
