Oh, don't be so modest Tony. The reason of course is that word got out that DizDaddy and crew were on this cruise!

Oh, don't be so modest Tony. The reason of course is that word got out that DizDaddy and crew were on this cruise!
I've been on facebook too much, I was looking for the like button!
Oh so true!Thank you. When we went on the Magic in 2011 DS was just 3 and a few months and he did not like the kids club. The CM's did not engage the kids at that time, they simply stood and watched and ds was painfully shy and it was not a good fit for him. He didn't spend anytime there other then the open houses with us there. This cruise, I purposely booked it at the end of his kindergarten year, hoping that he will come out of his shell a bit and praying he likes the club better and will do better on his own. NOT because I want him in the club the entire vacation. But because I do want him to be comfortable there for 2 visits; one so dh and i can celebrate our 15 year anniversary with a brunch at Palo and if we are lucky that he does well, I do want to try a night at Remy.
Maybe if we have a Dis meet - he can meet some of the other kids. I know my Daughter is going to start writing to another girl and so she will have a friend or friends prior to the cruise but she is older and the opposite of my little guy.
Either way, this is a family vacation first and if it doesnt work out, it will still be ok because you know what - we are on the Fantasy!!!!
Here's to a great year!!!!!
I was just wondering if I can do it on my scooter? lolI would love to, but I'll have to see as the time gets closer.
Shoot do you have to run it. Maybe if they put me off ship and give me a ten hour head start....I might be able to do it.I'm not sure if I will run it, or walk it, but I'd like to give it a try. Hoping to be in better shape for it, that's for sure!
Thanks John!Welcome! Got you on the FE spreadsheet. (link to which is in my signature)
Still need that 10 hour head start and I can be back on the ship by maybe four. (John this had me laughing and crying at the same time)Yeah, you have to be back on the ship at 4:30pm![]()
Lets keep the hurricane weather in Sept and October. We need quiet seas and beautiful weatherTim, Julie, & Megan (17). This will be our second fantasy cruise, 3rd Disney cruise. We were on the hurricane sandy one last October. Ready for a smooth cruise this time.![]()
My Daughter is very much an Old Soul and likes to hang out with us oldies. But this time her friend is going so I hope she gets out and does fun young adult stuff. Maybe we can get them talking on Facebook.Great! Our DD18 had a hard time finding anybody her age to hang out with in May, and when she did find somebody, he turned out to be a jerk. DD12 had no problems finding friends her own age to romp all over the ship with.
Great! We were on the Sandy Surfin' Safari too! We just went in May, and everything was perfect! We'll take it again next May. Perfect weather, that is!
He is the best!John, you are back! You did such an awesome job on our 5/25/13 cruise, looks like we are doing another one the same time too! Looks like I was left off the list, just a little reminder. . .![]()
Love the dark writing on these you can see it. LOVE IT! LOVE IT LOVE IT!In the past we've gotten bracelets to identify DISboarders. I think I have a pic here somewhere . . . let me see.
Well, this one is from THIS year's "Fantasia Amigos" cruise.

I Talked to my sister and she says she would like to do this too! Tony and I are up for it. Let me know because we gots a lot of people coming with us this time and I am sure a few would love to do this.So we had TWO private mixology classes on this past cruise. Luckily, we also had a pretty damn good photographer in our DIS group, who just happened to attend the same mixology class as me. So here's a peek at who's behind the spreadsheet. I'm the guy in the orange Fantasy shirt (notice the bracelet).

Tara, thanks for taking on the Mixology sign ups! That's one thing done.
Tony: Got room on the front page for Mixology information?
HIJust switched our booking from the Dream to the Fantasy! Decided I needed a longer vacation!! Me and my DS (6) will be in cabin 8514. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise.
Hmm, that's weird. I have 'tweis' (Trina and family) in 8514.
Thank you for taking this on. I Know you have a lot going on!Hey John, I work for a promo product company I would love to volunteer to do this. Would that work? Message me how you want it to go and I will take care of it. I would think we would just need to have a final count four weeks from the sail date for me to get them in time to pack. I would love to help out.
I like them both!Fantastic! Sometime in the next few months, I guess Tony will get suggestions for a 'cruise name'. That's what usually goes on the wristband along with the cruise date.
I'll start - "Jamaican Me Crazy", "Jamaican Fantasy, Mon!"
BTW - What day are you getting married?
Girl! We got a year!Um, Mati. Is this for another cruise? Because you're already on this cruise's list.
I like the meet and greet for delivery. You will find that people out of the FE will want the bracelets. My whole family got them. But as a Whole this time I think I will order for the kids and The people in my family that seem interested in the boards.Jen, do you want me to distribute at the Meet & Greet? Usually we do it there since most people stop by at some time or another. I know that you won't be able to make it with all your plans and such, but this would be one more thing off your list.
We'll have the final count in plenty of time. I think last time the bracelets were ordered about 6 - 8 weeks out, with extras ordered.
Might like to do this too. My thing is I have been on two other disney cruises and still never find the desert buffet night. Remember we got there too late last time. You will have to keep me updated on when that is.It's not set up yet. I've found that 2:00 - 3:00pm on embarkation day is a good time since most people will be on board and fed by that time. There are ship tours and a spa raffle at 3:00 that lots of people like to attend. And we want to be done well ahead of the Sail Away Party. (and Pam and I always take advantage of the massage special; 70 minutes for the price of 50, usually around 4:30 if we can manage it)
BTW - for all - free Galley tours are available. Stop by Guest Services when you board to arrange a time. Last cruise we got to do it on one of the sea days. It didn't last too long, but it was neat to see the kitchens. I can only imagine what that place must look like during dinner!

It worked!![]()
Yea right!Oh, don't be so modest Tony. The reason of course is that word got out that DizDaddy and crew were on this cruise!
I've been on facebook too much, I was looking for the like button!
So glad I'm not the only one that did that!
Okay, I'm going try to add a photo.

JohnPA has done this as some others from the group. He told Tony about how much he enjoyed it so that is what got me interested. Above is what John posted. There were also some talking about it on this thread #147,150 and 170.There are several 'tasting sessions/seminars' on the ship, such as Cognac Tasting, Tequila Tasting, Martini Tasting, Wine Tasting, Chocolate Tasting and then there's Mixology where you get behind the bar and learn to mix drinks. The one we attended ran like this. The bar is set up with glasses for everyone. The bartender describes the drink to be made and 4 people got behind the bar. In our group, we had 24 people so each 'bartender' made 6 drinks. This went on through 4 different drinks. Then the bartender and his assistants poured the last champagne cocktail. I did the Cognac tasting a couple of cruises back and that was fun. I'd love to do the Chocolate Tasting. Anyway, we were able to schedule private sessions just for our group on Thursday afternoon while at sea. It worked out well.
I think the Cognac Tasting cost $20/pp and the Mixology was $15/pp.
Fantastic! Sometime in the next few months, I guess Tony will get suggestions for a 'cruise name'. That's what usually goes on the wristband along with the cruise date.
I'll start - "Jamaican Me Crazy", "Jamaican Fantasy, Mon!"
I'm noticing some mentions of a private mixology. Would someone mind sharing the information for that (or pointing me to where it's posted if I missed it)? It sounds like great fun!

We will organize a private Mixology, Martini, etc. session when we get closer to the cruise, its too early to plan for one now. Probably a month to 6 weeks before our cruise sails. Its best if we could book a private one since these do book up quickly onboard and they are only offered on sea days.

Sounds great! Let me know if you need help with the organization. I set up a Champagne Girls (of sorts) for my last cruise so I have DCL contact information if anyone needs it (presuming you don't have it already). I did hear a rumor that the private tastings now cost $30 per person, but I could have that wrong.
I hope they didn't raise them that much, when we did it at end of May, it was $15 per person. I hope it's just a rumor.![]()
I booked my pre and post vacation package, YES!!!
Well, I talked it over with my family and I'm sorry to say that we've switched our reservation to the May 10th sailing. There just weren't enough stateroom options left on this one for the stragglers in my group that may join us.
This seemed like a fantastic group though. I'm sorry my stay with you all was so short. Have a happy sailing!
Best,
Marise
PS: I checked with DCL and the cost for the private mixology is still $15 per person. I'd still be happy to share the contact information I have if anyone needs it. Just send me a PM.
Hi, Not sure who to tell but, I'm on the role call- but, it says I'm from Pittsburgh ( never lived there, visited once). I live in Tucson Az ( have for the past 23 years). I will update additional info about myself /my daughter etc at another time. I just booked our DW trip, we will be at the Art of Animation May 14-24 prior to the cruise. Any once else going to be there?
