05/20/2010 Wonder 3-day Bahamas

Just so everyone knows with kids 18 and over. The drinking age on Nassau is 18! Both of our kids reminded us of that! We are staying the week following the cruise in Orlando at the Marriott Cypress Harbour resort. I traded a timeshare week for a week there. It is the first time in a LONG time that we have gone to Orlando and NOT stayed at Disney, but we've got a week at the Boardwalk for Food and Wine in the fall reserved, so we had to do it this way this trip! Can't wait!!

Ahhh I feel like such a slacker! I haven't even started THINKING about what I"m going to do for the FE's yet. I'm a bit short on money for the next couple of weeks, bah.

Hey, if you are short of money do not worry about spending much on the FE's! This is just for fun and not intended to be stressful or put anyone in debt!

So, I get home from a week out of town and see on this board that everyone has gotten their cruise packets! My husband, who was here all week left out of town yesterday and said nothing while I was gone. So, I go through "my" mail and see he put both packages UNOPENED in my mail pile! Helloooo! Not excited??? I can't believe it!!

That's a man for you! When ours came, DH was at home. When I phoned him in the afternoon, I asked if there was any mail and he said, "yeah, just some Junk and something from Disney cruiseline". Me, I was almost jumping up and down in my chair here at work.
He's excited about the trip, just not the paperwork.

Hey, I resemble that remark. It was actually opposite in our house. I was excited about the docs.

Our friend, who we are treating to this cruise, called us when she got the docs and said, "You didn't tell me it was a Disney Cruise, there are no slot machines on that boat." She knows us well enough that if we do anything it is Disney.

Well I want to have fun with them! I'm not worried about it putting me in debt though...it's my own fault I'm a bit short on the $$$ right now...we just got back from a short trip to Chicago

Just a quick question. In keeping with Miztigg's idea, I just happen to be at the liquor store today and saw something representative of my state, Georgia, in the mini bottle area. Naturally, my immediate thought was to purchase these "adult" gifts for our FE's so everyone can have a little taste of Georgia on the cruise! However, it did occur to me that maybe some people don't WANT any alcoholic gifts and if so, please just let us know. That way, I'll not put them in your FE bags!

Counting down the days till we sail away....as it pours down rain in Georgia on this Saturday......

Just spent 2 days at our timeshare in north central PA (couldn't do the whole week because of work, etc). It was a nice getaway, but kind of rainy and chilly. Wishing for much warmer & dryer weather for our trip. We have 19 days untill we leave. I definately need this vacation. One slight downside is that the day before we leave, my mom has to have a cardiovert proceedure to correct an irregular heart beat. I'm sure everything will be fine, just a bit stressed about it for her. They were supposed to schedule it for sometime this week or at the latest next week, but somehow it got pushed back till May 13. But that is how it usually is with medical stuff - hurry up and wait. Most of my family works in medicine, so I know how that goes.
