Yep I am the same way. I will start my cleaning along with the final touches of packing the first week in May. I will make sure the house is nice and tight, rooms will all be cleaned and we will be eating all the food in the house so that I can clean the fridge out before we go. # 1 rule in our house is the week before we go on a trip is no grocery shopping. Its a eat what you can find week and everything else get tossed before we go. The reason we do this is because a few years ago we left and the power went out well we were gone. When we came home the house smelt like something had died because all of the food had gone bad and the basement had an 5 inches of water in it.

Yes, I do the same with the food... no grocery shopping 1 week prior to vacation... think of all the money we save

Tell me about it. I went to the store over the weekend bought everything but MEAT and still managed to spend over 200.00. Then went to the meat market and spent another 100.00. Just think how many drink of the day that is!!!!

Did a little more shopping today! Except, nothing for me!!! I am always the last one I get organized.

I think I am going to start packing this weekend, atleast start getting the kids stuff packed up. Hopefully get my FE gifts finished up this weekend.

Tell me about it. I went to the store over the weekend bought everything but MEAT and still managed to spend over 200.00. Then went to the meat market and spent another 100.00. Just think how many drink of the day that is!!!!

Okay... so no food shopping, no electric used in my home during the week we are gone, no automobile gas used, no dry cleaning of my work clothes, cancel the paper for the week ..... heck this cruise pays for itself Now if only I can get my mortgage company to credit me for the week I will not be occupying my home I will be all set

So, if anyone is planning on visiting the beach on St. Maarten at the end of the SXM airport runway, you might want to plan on being there at 3:15pm.

I did some searching to see what carriers are servicing that day and what equiptment they are using. All day there will be an assortment of 757s, 737s, A320s, etc. All impressive, but all narrow body aircraft.

Well...except for one!

It seems our Dutch friends will be sending KLM flight 785 from Amsterdam. And she will be operated by a Boeing 747-400.

That is a VERY big plane:

Great research! Thanks for the tip!! Wondering if my kids would be scared The beach itself doesn't look all that nice?? Or is that just a small part of the shot in the youtube video? We are certainly going to try to get there.

My youngest said he wanted to go to bed (earlier) so it would be one less day on the calendar. If I didn't have to pack, clean house, organize things for our house sitter... I might just go to bed and stay there for the next 16 days. This trip is about all our family talks about

I can't believe how fast time is going by! 20 days until our cruise people!!!!! Can you believe it. Saw the weather report the other day and it was 85 degrees in St. Thomas! I will take it over my cold rainy 45 degree day here in Chicago!

Our matching tropical outfits just arrived from Disney today. Yeah, we are the most obvious tourists everywhere we go! I figure we can get a few good uses for them. We'll wear them to 'Ohana after the cruise and tropical/pirate night (since we aren't going scallywag). Now we just need to wait for them to go on clearance so we can buy a couple sizes up for DD for future trips.

DW has been taking DD to the gym with her and checking her into the kids' club. She is having a blast there and we are talking up how much better Disney's is going to be. She is getting really excited so we are optimistic she'll do well there.

Only seven more work days for me!!!!!!!

...but then that leaves only ten days of packing, cleaning, stressing out, and binge eating everything in the fridge and freezer!

It's such a nice day here in Charlotte blue carolina skies just gets me in the summer mode I have to start packing because i always wait til the last min like my husbans in the car and i'm still getting things LOL. And as for the fridge eating up................oh dear...as DH points out..why did I buy that multi pack of yogurts last weekend, without counting...how many days......versus...how many yoghurts....? We like yoghurts....but..........

Well that stinks doesn’t it...happy you have some other options to take some of the stress off though!

I totally hear you about crazy times. I have tons of stuff to do at work before we leave.

I also just kind of came to the realization today of how little time is actually left before we leave and how many (too many) small things we still have to do before then! YIKES!

I need to really get the kids to help me finish up our FE stuff this weekend so we don’t have to worry about it anymore.

That works for my grkids too.Like you said The Disney cruise is all we talk about. They are soooo excited not to say anything about their Nana haha. I got clothes everywhere, should I take this or that. Daytime outfits, clothes for the evenings. I pity you moms that got the entire family to pack up, its been a long time since I had to do that. Ok I got my nightly fix now that I read the cruise meet board I can go to bed now. Like Scottie said earlier what are we all going to do after the cruise

I think we are going to pack up each rooms FE gifts in a small party favor-type bag we picked up at Michaels for ease of transport to and around the ship. We will then just drop one bag per room into the FE Extenders, unless we need more than one to fit the gifts then you may luck out with two bags.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this idea??

Well in the past two days I have worked on my FE gifts (almost done), Did some more shopping for formal wear and shoes to match, paid all of my May bills ( don't usually pay all at once but it felt good to know that I could go on vacation with out having to worry about what I could spend because I had bills waiting at home), rebook my car rentals ( found a coupon code for 25% off and saved over 30.00 each way), re booked my hotel ( they lowered their rate), and last but not least started to make my packing list!

Now on to bigger problems. Last week Me and both DD's received our passports. DH's said it was still processing well yesterday we got a letter in the mail stating that we had supplied the wrong birth certificate. So we have to fill out 4 forms and send them to Houston overnight along with a per addressed envelope to have them overnighted to us and then turn around and overnight it to the passport office and hope and pray that we get it in time. I did however order two copies just in case we didn't get the passport back in time. so the past 3 days have been long and well I still have so much left to do... Man I guess I will just chip away at it again tomorrow!
