05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

My DGS will be 5 on the 18th. So I assume they will let him in with the 5-6s. Wondering though if that is a good idea? Sounds like it is an more interesting group than the 3-4s. Any ideas?

I think if they are within a month or so they will let them move up. Don't get me wrong I'm sure the 3-4 do lots of great stuff other kids seem to be having a great time:confused3Ii'm sure it's just my kid but I'm pretty sure you can switch groups at anytime:thumbsup2

My oldest is a little bummed that there are no other kids his age (from our group), I'm hoping he'll meet some NICE kids on board. This is his first time going to the stacks, He's thrilled I'm scared :scared::scared::scared:

After reading some posts on the main board today about the Stack and how some (not all by any means) of the kids act inside/out of it I would be having a long talk with my oldest DD if she was old enough to go there before we sailed. However, she is not old enough so I am HAPPY with that!

I put together a quick 'n dirty site based on our first page roster and previous FE list (before today's :headache:)

http://pages.suddenlink.net/airtime247/

Please take a look to see if you think it would work for us before I invest any real time into it. Also please make sure the link works to our photo. This is the first time I've tried uploading anything to my new ISP so I don't know if I did it correctly.

The site is not much to look at yet but I just want to see if it's functional and if it's something we may use.

If anyone more artistic than I am (and who isn't?) would like to make it pretty, I can definitely use the help! :wizard: I don't care for the background but it was all I could find that wasn't too loud.

If you want me to post a photo, please email me at AIRTIME247 <at> SUDDENLINK <dot> NET. For other changes or to help fill in the blanks, you can either PM me or post here and I'll update them as they come in.

I'd really like to get everyone's hometowns. This was a fun thing to look at to see who was near us. Maybe I'll scan through the thread if I get some time.

Hi Steve,

You can add hometown of Brookfield CT to Sagbrook-6564 and 6566. Will try to get picture this weekend also.

Marilyn

Is it just us or do others have a hard time keeping their little ones (3-5) in their club???

We didnt have any problems with our two girls staying in the club, but I am not so sure how our son is going to do at least the first day or two. He can be a shy one for a bit in new places or around new people till he warms up to his surrondings. I am keeping fingers crossed he likes it enough by Sunday evening to spend at least a couple of hours there while we go to Palo!
I did book some time in at Flounders around our dinner seating- just in case!:scared: I am going to have to talk to the Flounders staff earlier that day to see what kind of cancel policy they may hit me up with, because I was hoping to hold onto that reservation as close to our Palo seating as possible in case Dylan is not willing to chill in the Club.

Okay, so I think I've got the pre-cruise blahs (or blues) :sad1:. I'm excited to go but...... I can't seem to generate the energy I need to get things done (FE gifts and etc). Started clothes shopping for me and couldn't get excited about it (something is definitely wrong!). Now reading the posts about bathing suit shopping - something I'm really not looking forward to. And to top it all off I'm home today with a sick kid . I need it to get warm here (I live in the middle of the desert for goodness sake) so I can pull out all the summer clothes.

Thought I'd share. Hopefully these blahs go away as quick as they came.

Jennifer

OK so I don't really have an offshore account but man I would love that SPH room!!! I may have to take you up on a chance to sneak a peek out your window on a sea day!!!

:banana::banana: 30 Days People, 30 Days:banana::banana:

You're more than welcome to come sit on my veranda & have a drink with me anytime.
Don't forget -- Company is always welcome

I'm sure your '' Blues'' will be gone in no time. I'm just getting over a badly broken foot so I'm worried that I won't be able to do much walking when we go ashore cause right now its really sore but its only been a week since cast came off.I hope I won't need a wheel chairthose days cause I don't want to be a burden to anyone. oh well brighter , better days ahead right 30 days left.
Ya hooo

Jennifer - I dreaded the bathing suit shopping - after 3 kids, the bod is not the same. I did go and get that done.

If it is not warm in the middle of the desert, where is it warm at? My girls are going to be too excited to know that someone is from New Mexico. They are huge High School Musical and know that they are from New Mexico. I am sure they will have some HSM questions for you!! LOL

See you in a few weeks!

Congratulations to everyone who was visited by the upgrade fairy! Keep those posts coming. I'm making note of all the changes and will update the site Monday night.

Marilyn/Sagbrook - I got your updates as well. Please send the picture to AIRTIME247 <at> SUDDENLINK <dot> NET

Kristen/DisneyMommy1022 - I'm not sure of the science behind how Disney determines upgrades. I always assumed it was because they couldn't fill the ship so they would bump a lot of people up to free up lesser expensive cabins to try to get more people to book. I wonder if they take the people who booked earlier?!? We booked way back in December '07.

We booked Cat 11 on both of our previous Disney cruises. We were upgraded the first time and not the second. What was strange about the first time was we booked with friends and linked our ressies. We were next door and they upgraded us both from inside cabins to porthole cabins and kept us next door to each other.

Why did you all have to bring up bathing suits? My mood had been rather chipper tonight. At least you ladies have a lot more options for covering up. Maybe I should pass out sunglasses as our FE gifts so I don't blind all of you when I take my shirt off by the pool! :scared1:

We have no idea how our DD will do in the club. She's pretty outgoing and we've done this kind of thing at home but she usually has her best friend with her. With as much as we've been talking up the club and all the activities she can do, we hope she'll take to it. An hour or two at a time would be great so we can do fun things like the Art of Entertaining series, spa treatments, or some evening shows.

Royfam - I know that, but the kids just think that the cast lives in New Mexico and go to school there.

gotch ya;) Honestly I don't know much about HSM (it makes my head hurt:headache:) My SIL lives there (salt lake) and had mentioned that they were filming there (a yr or so ago)
My daughter likes it, but luckily my friend takes her (she's hooked:confused3) so I don't have too.

steve- Yeah, Josh does great going to school and such but, he has his friends there. I hoping he meets a few new friends so they can have a good time while we have a good time.:smickey:

I will have a new FE list posted tonight with all of the new info on it. I had planed to have it done last night but I feel asleep on the couch reading DIS...:rotfl2:
