05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

We have been at WDW during the first two weeks of May every year for the past 16 years. It is hot but dry. The rainy season hasn't started yet. The crowds during the week are light, but Magic Kingdom will be a little busy on the weekend. A lot of Florida residents go on the weekend and families that take a long weekend before school gets out always to MK. The weather is in the high 80's every day with a chance of a shower around 3:00 pm.

This is our 13th cruise, which we always take the last few days of April into May. I can only recall getting rain on 1 day. Usually very dry. Hope this holds true for this trip. Really looking forward to it. We have only taken the 4day Wonder in February and never really got a chance to enjoy the ship.

We have been on 9 Carnival cruises, which were good for the price, but I'll tell you, no one does it like Disney. I'm not sure if we can ever go back. With the change for next year, we may have to since we always cruise for our anniversary. Disney isn't doing the 7 day cruises next may.

Great to hear! Thanks

We just got our room assignment today, and we have been upgraded from a category 12 to a CATEGORY 9!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're in room number 2588. Scottie or another FE admin - could you please update the FE list with our room number please?

Now we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that we don't get downgraded back to a category 12 when we arrive at the port! :goodvibes

The site should be current with cruisers and the FE exchange. Please let me know if I need to make any changes or if you'd like your mug shot included. The link is in my signature.

I am going to try to get the fam togther for a group mug shot on Sunday in our Easter best... wish me luck!

:flower3:We also got our cabin assignment today and went from a Gty 12 to a 9!!! We are in room 2532. We are also very excited due to the fact that we always get an inside and for the first time we get to have a porthole. And the split bathroom will be so nice!!!!!:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

So...I can't remember who is doing the FE list but could you put UFCABEAR and DH in Cabin 2532? I want to make sure we get our gifts. :flower3:

Also, any suggestions on what we could use for a FE to hang? Help...

Hi everyone, just checked our reservation and we got upgraded from a cat 9 to a cat 6. WOOHOO

Congratulations to all of you on your upgrades!!!
I am still stuck in my good old Cat. 4...LOL.
With 3 kids I don't think I'll be able to get upgraded until 2026 give or take!

Wow! Such wonderful upgrade news!! :cool1:
We have cat. 6 with a specific room assignment... I don't suppose I should be hoping for an upgrade :confused3 Seems like most upgrades are "GTY" bookings.

Getting very excited for vacation :cool1::cool1:

If I get that bump to the Walt Suite I have been wishing for, I will be sure to let you guys move in with us for the cruise.... along with anyone else from the group who would like to pack in!:santa:

I was reading a post on the main board that mentioned some people taking a bag with handles and decorating it up then just hanging a handle over the Fish. I imagine you could do anything from a canvas type bag to a paper gift bag like you would buy in the card section at Walmart or the such. I guess you would just want to make sure handles are long enough to make sure the bag clears the Fish and can support some weight in the bag?

I think I also read of maybe using an over the door organizer and decorating that up, if its not too wide and can figure a way to hang it on the Fish.

There are also some low cost FE options on eBay... some of which take a few weeks delivery.

Hopefully someone can offer up some other options too:goodvibes

I made ours out of A sheet. Nothing to rant or rave about but it works. The sheet had a border on the bottom of Pirates & the rest of the sheet had like waves on it, so I thought hey that will fit right in. Hey Scottie forgot to mention that I finally got my cast of Ya hoo but boy is it sore but that will come with time.

Ok so I just happened to me looking at the May 2nd cruise group and this is what I came accrss...

PS: Here's the score:

MAGICal MAYflowers (May 9th Eastern): 89 pages
MAGICal MAYniacs (that's us, LOL): 100 pages!!!

Ok, so the MAGICal MAYflowers have an extra week, but they have a lot more people in their group.

So I think this is game on!!! As of right now we are at 90 pages so we need to post post post!!!!:banana:

We are talkers!
