We have been at WDW during the first two weeks of May every year for the past 16 years. It is hot but dry. The rainy season hasn't started yet. The crowds during the week are light, but Magic Kingdom will be a little busy on the weekend. A lot of Florida residents go on the weekend and families that take a long weekend before school gets out always to MK. The weather is in the high 80's every day with a chance of a shower around 3:00 pm.
This is our 13th cruise, which we always take the last few days of April into May. I can only recall getting rain on 1 day. Usually very dry. Hope this holds true for this trip. Really looking forward to it. We have only taken the 4day Wonder in February and never really got a chance to enjoy the ship.
We have been on 9 Carnival cruises, which were good for the price, but I'll tell you, no one does it like Disney. I'm not sure if we can ever go back. With the change for next year, we may have to since we always cruise for our anniversary. Disney isn't doing the 7 day cruises next may.
