05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

Thank you Scottie for getting that info from DCL!!! That was a huge concern and great cause of confusion for me. Happy that I booked Palo on night 2 (formal night) and that we won't miss the show at AP :thumbsup2

Ditto - that's helpful. Wish me luck booking Palo for that Sunday as well!
I may be a first time cruiser, but when they are opening up early booking, they should definitely take into account the number of times I've cruised with Disney in my head!
;)

For those of us booking Palo for Sunday (Moms Day), what time did you or do you plan to shoot for?
I am going to try to do a booking around 7:30-7:45pm so we can be sure to have some time to get the kids to the clubs after the show.

--WOW over 600 posts for our thread now!--

I made ressies for Sunday at 6:30. Not sure how DS3 will 'hold up' being awake too late on the second night. My thought is that he will be TIRED and don't want to keep him in the club (or Flounders) too much after 9pm. Didn't take the show into account. I suppose we can catch it after dinner if we can.;)

I AM SOOOO EXCITED :cool1: :jumping2: :jumping3: :Pinkbounc :mickeyjum :jumping1: party: Can ya tell!

I just got our return flight booked for only $72 per person:thumbsup2

It is a return on Sunday instead of Saturday (Sat was so expensive everytime I looked!), so then I called DVC and booked a studio at BCV for the night (and waitlisted for VWL). We will eat dinner at Cal Grill and fly home very early Sunday morning:cheer2:

WOW, cannot believe I get to go to WDW for a few hours also!pixiedust:

So, for Palo we are going to Brunch on Mother's day and try for a dinner on Pirate night.

HI Everyone,

I have a quick question regarding the FE. Do you drop off a wee token everyday to the participants, or on your designated day, or whenever you want? :confused3 My daughter Morgan is getting very very excited about the whole FE activity. It sounds like fun. :cheer2:

Thanks,

Bonnie and Morgan

Hello All - I am very excited that the we can make reservations tonight. I am sick with a yucky throat and inability to breathe, so...I need a little pick me up - like booking Palo brunch on Mother's Day.

Also, I have been reading more about the Fish Extenders? Who of our group is planning to participate? Even though DH Cal and I (Debi) are not bringing children with us, can't we still act like children?

If I can help set this FE thing up I will - just let me know. (Remember I am sick and feverish so this offer may not happen again.:crazy2: )

I have read how some of the other groups have done their exchange and it sounds complicated. We could make it as easy or as hard as we want.

I'm so sorry you don't feel well:guilty: YES! our family is so excited about the FE and we are open to what ever... I think we should just decide what and how soon so we can all start preparing ..OMG sorry I'm SO EXCITED:cheer2: I'm in the process of ordering our FE. and of course everyone is a kid on the "mickey Boat" I just think we need to start a list of who wants to participate , what room, and how many adults/kids!I'm new to this whole disboard so I don't know the best way to do it?

Hey I was wondering if we can add my brother in-law, sister in-law, and nephew to the list? We are bringing them along... They have never been on a disney cruise, or any cruise. They have never even been to Disnyland/world:sad2: I think that will change once they experience this cruise! Anyways they too would like to join in on the FE fun. Here's their names and stateroom #

Gary and Shash
Alec 1
stateroom #2075
Thanks

I have read how some of the other groups have done their exchange and it sounds complicated. We could make it as easy or as hard as we want.

I have read some reports on other cruisers FE excitement onboard and I do agree some of the reports sounded like it took some real effort to be part of the group and seemed to requiring bringing a whole lot of stuff with you.

I have read other reports where they agreed to a one-time delivery of a gift to the other stateroom FE hangers in the group (at whatever point of the cruise they chose to deliver their FE gift- kind of a surprise).

There also seemed to be reports where you agreed to deliver a minimum of one time to the other staterooms and had the option to deliver more frequently if you decided you wanted to.

I think with all the stuff we all find ourselves doing onboard that keeps many of us going from sunrise to well past sunset; I would prefer to not have a whole fancy plan for our FE exchange and kind of lean towards the latter two scenarios above. Not sure if I am in the minority with this thought or not??

Just dream of the taste of the wonderful food onboard- it will cure you in no time!! :thumbsup2

Hope you feel better soon!

I agree Scottie, the simpler the better. I think it will be an additional surprise for the kids on this awesome cruise. If you want to deliver more, go for it. We just need a list of kids and ages and then we can go from there.

I like the idea of 'commit to one time, but have the option to do it more than that.' No need to force everyone to bring additional luggage.
The only thing on top of that that might be cool is if a group of 6 or 7 of us wanted to parcel out a specific day of the cruise...(Not EVERYONE...most people could keep it spontaneous)...so that our kids (or our big merry selves) would be guaranteed a neat little surprise each day.

Question, though, if someone chooses to give away some kind of live animal, do you have to claim that at customs? Just askin'...;)

Any more thoughts on how or if we would like to identify ourselves at least at port?
Not to the FBI of course, as I understand some may be in hiding ;)

The rubber lime green bracelet idea mentioned sounded decent to me, if we are willing to cough up about $2 per bracelet and someone wants to place an order.
I don’t mind placing the order (unless someone else is up for the task and likes doing it, please step forward :)).
Then if those wanting one could shoot me over their ransom for the bracelet I could mail it out so you could have those shiny green bracelet(s) prior to arrival at port. Plus that would save me from having to chase anyone down at port to hand over their lime green monitor- I mean bracelet. We would just need a firm count before ordering. Of course we have time so no rush.

:rotfl: Im just working on a bag of M&M peanuts and a little DIY channel while I wait out this last hour!

Wow. You are tearing the roof off over there. I cannot hang, man. :dance3:
I'm actually trying to catch up, though...heading into the other room to continue a lively night of watching paint dry...
Keep looking in the rearview mirror, Scottie - That's right, another party animal is about to evolve over here! Now if only I didn't have to wait until the 23rd to book Palo!!!

For FE info:
Jeremy & Natalia w/Hannah (5), Sarah (3), and Leah (1) in stateroom 8062.

I totally agree that the FEs need to not bring stress upon us. That is what we are getting away from.

Also, I would be interested in purchasing a bracelet. Let us know.

Only 24 more minutes. Oops! 23 minutes!!!:cheer2:

Anyone having trouble being able to make your cruise plans online? I thought it was midnight eastern time...

I can't seem to get the online reservation area to work. AAAAAHHHH! After staying up all this time.

Anyone else?
