We just returned on Thursday from DL. When we renewed our annual pass, the cast member who was helping us told us that there would be a 50 hour party starting at 8:00 a.m. on 05-05-05. We tried to confirm this with other cast members, but none of them would confrm.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I know this is the day of the 50th birthday celebration. I was told by guest services in Florida that all Disney parks around the world would celebrate. So, for DL to hold a 50 hour party to kick things off sounds about right to me.

I tried to get ressies for the Poly, cl, lv and GF,RPC. They were booked solid. This was a couple months ago. A guy from guest services told me that many of the rooms were booked for "big wigs" that would be there for WDW "party" when DL's 50th kicks off. So, I think that it's going to be a BIG deal.

If your thinking about going I would sugest booking now.

I have heard rumors of a 50 hour party. But I was always under the impression that it would be held on the actual anniversary July 17th. Not the kick of in May. But then again I have not heard anything official in regards to this. So at this time I would just look at it as a rumor.

Haven't heard anything about it, but I'll be there May 4-9 to enjoy the action and then again July 15-20 to enjoy that party as well!
