04A GTY?

I currently have an 04A GTY reservation to Hawaii next year on the Wonder. If there are no available 04A cabins available, then what? Does it upgrade me to 03, which is concierge?

I would love to hear from anyone that has booked GTY and what happened if nothing was available in the category you booked.

It is unlikley to happen unless for some reason one or more 4A cabins are removed from service and they needed every one but that could happen. Hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I have heard prior that even if they move you to a 3A room, they will not throw in the perks of concierge, you would simply get the nicer cabin.

Thanks. So far, all I know is it’s a sold out cruise, with a wait list. It would be nice, but I can live without the concierge perks.

Wouldn't DCL try to sell a "cheap" upgrade at the port to anyone holding a 4A cabin before giving it away for free?

They'd try to sell an upgrade to ANYONE before giving it away for free. They don't reach out like that, but there is a desk at checkin where guests can inquire if there are upgrades available. FWIW, I haven't seen any available in a long time; Captain Mickey always has a sign that the cruise is full. Post covid maybe I'll have a shot again..
