04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

The Packing has begun at least in my head... Can't wait 4/27/11.

Hi

I know I've asked this before, but I haven't heard anything from you regarding the name badges and lanyards. It's ok if you don't want to participate, but I'm currently making them and I don't want to leave you off the list if you want to receive them.

She can not send or receive PMs, not enough posts.

Thank you - I understand that. Many people have responded directly on the thread, others have sent PMs.

I guess I should just assume that if someone does not let me know one way or the other, that they are not interesting in participating. That's cool with me.

Hard to believe, but there really are people on the DIS that don't participate in all the stuff going on. Some people just like the information given and some people go all out, lots of plans and activities.

Is it April 27th yet??? Starting to pack in my head, on paper, and hang up stuff is sectioned out in the closet! Can't wait for the 19th (our pre cruise Disney visit), then it's home to do laundry and pack for the cruise!!! It's right around the corner!

Aw, you make it sound like it's a bad thing. Since I'm only on the REPO cruise, it makes for a rather short trip. If anyone wants to hang out in Wavebands after late dinner, I'm there! I'm hoping they offer the singles/solos lunch on the sea days as well. I always enjoy going to those. The only activities I see y'all have planned on the repo are a pin trading time and a scrapbooking list. I don't happen to do either of those things. Are there other things I'm supposed to participate in?

I know I saw a lot of chatter about excursions on one's own for San Fran and Victoria, but is anyone booking stuff through DCL? One of the reasons I booked this cruise was because of some of the foodie excursions they were offering. :)

Now could somebody please shut off the snow? I know March is supposed to go out like a lamb, but I didn't think that meant covered in fluffy white stuff.

There was a GREAT Consolidated packing list (about three pages that someone/somewhere made up....lots of great ideas, informations...
can not find it on the boards
please help

For those of you who are interested...

My brother Frank is a Catholic priest and he has arranged with DCL to say Mass in the Buena Vista Theater on Sunday, May 1st (sea day) at 9 AM.

This information will also be posted in the Navigator.

Two nice things about the 'vacation' Masses - no homily and no collection!

All are welcome! :grouphug:

I have a dedicated chair piled high with some things just waiting to hit the suitcases! :rotfl2:

Do you have your room assignment yet? :confused3 I have you down as GTY. How about folks cruising with you... dinner, main or late...

Happy Packing!

We are doing the Disney museum in SF and buschart gardens in Victoria through dcl. We are going to do theory's SF day on our own. We are also late dining...so we'll see you there!

Are you folks going to be on the Alaska Cruise as well? BFF is on that cruise with us and she is a parish secty so it would be great for her to tell her boss she went to Mass on DCL!

Unfortunately not. :sad2: He's only allowed to take off a few Sundays a year and we're using one up for the Repo. We are flying out to DL on Easter Sunday, after Mass of course ;)

It's a pretty sad sight Lynn! :rotfl2: Things are falling off. I must move them to the bed... I guess it would be better to move everything into the suitcases! :rotfl2:

My packing challenge is that it has gotten so cold here in Williamsburg I have had to wear some of the clothes I set aside for the cruise!:scared1:
Now I have to laundry and sort them again. Getting only grief from my co-workers!:rotfl2:

Once I get the guys down after the show, I usually show up for the "adult entertainment". As for the singles/solo lunch, I have usually found them to be very interesting as well. Hope to see you at both places.

I wish I could have piles, but I cannot let the guys know we are getting ready to travel. If they knew, they would not get anything done in their programs because they would be too excited. I hope to pack on the 24th after my oldest goes back to his group home. I was going to do it on the 26th, but I just found out I have a meeting that night I need to be at. Oy! At least Passover will have concluded so we can eat real food on the Cruise! Look forward to seeing everyone VERY soon.
