I booked the Palo Brunch and my Dad booked a Swedish Massage, and for excursions he booked for the second day in San Francisco Walt Disney Family Museum and Views of San Francisco and in Victoria he booked for himself Victoria Ale & Brewery Tour - Adults Only

I'm thinking about booking the Alcatraz & Sausalito excursion on the first day because it makes a stop at Vista Point and I want to go there, but still thinking about that one

Just posted this on the other thread (for the Alaska) but thought I'd post here, as well....

I know we haven't posted on here in AAAAAGES! I have been totally off the boards since just before we went on our big September vacation and B2B cruises and haven't logged on since we got back. The real world came crashing in all around us and the adjustment back to real life after nearly a month of Disney was a little harsh.

Anyhow...we are still on this B2B cruise (repo and first Alaskan)...and we are staying at DL for the full weekend before (checking into DVC Villas at GC on Friday 4/22). We are paid in full and have our airfare booked...now just waiting for excursions and bookings to open up.

I'm sure that we've missed a TON on here in the past few months...so if any kind soul wants to send me a PM letting me know if there's anything I should know (I've already sent a note to Ken abt our lanyards)...that would be great. Otherwise...I'll try to be more active on here from this point on.

Thanks for the information this is a big help for those who book later. Looks like we are doing SF on our own since we lived there for more years that I care to admit just put it this way four times longer than I have lived in VA. The tour options they have look really good. I highly recommend Muir Woods, any of the Wine Country tours or Monterey/Carmel these are areas that you will not see in any other part of the World. Thank you so much for posting this....I am keeping my fingers crossed that the excursions I am hoping to book will still be available on the12th....there are 2 excursions I want to do in Victoria and I am hoping that they do not overlap.

We are looking taking the train from Vancouver to Seattle, because it looks like the scenery is amazing and my DS7 would love it. Our flight leaves out of Seattle at 12:50am and I am wondering if we can do this or not. I see that the train gets in at approx. 10:30, is it realistic that we could make it to the airport in time or not? Or should we just take an earlier afternoon bus? We would love to tour around Vancouver, as we have never been on the West coast or in Canada. Any thoughts on this from those who have experience?

I hate to give an answer you don't want, but...
Just like everything else, sometimes things go wrong with the train. The train is fun, and the route is beautiful - spending a lot of time right next to the water. But if there is a problem with the train or any portion of the track, or if a cargo train causes a delay, you could be delayed. I don't know how often problems do occur; maybe Amtrak would offer that information.

As somebody else said, the Seattle train station is around 15 miles from the airport. However, there is now a light rail train running from more or less across the street from the Seattle Amtrak station to the Seattle airport. I haven't had the chance to ride it yet, but I have heard a lot of positive comments from others.

Good evening everyone!
The trip seems so much closer now that the adventures are up and booked. We got Palo, Tea, Brunch and Dinner. And the Double Decker Vintage Victoria Tour. Not too much time in Victoria unfortunately so we'll do the tour for an overview and maybe hit a pub for late lunch and then go to the Castle on our own afterwards.
Studied and narrowed down our Alaska adventures as well... along with a "Plan B" . It's very exciting.

For those of you who can already book, is Palo brunch only available two days during the cruise? I very much want to enjoy another brunch in Palo, but if there are only two opportunities the chances of my getting a reservation in advance are pretty slim.

And has anybody been on a west coast cruise yet? If so, do you know how they handled reservations on boarding day? At Port Canaveral I recall reservations for Palo started at like 2 PM for the Magic but when boarding begins for the Wonder. I would like to know how they will be doing it for our cruise; if I can't get a reservation in advance the answer will have a big impact on when I plan to get to the port.
