it looks like imo that san fransico has a lot of good excursions.
im going to do the alcatraz and sausilto excursion than at night time im going to do the chinatown and san fransico at night if the times allow me to.
than the next day just be by the pier go to the wax musuem or other things nearby. i would of really liked to go to muir woods and also the walt disney musuem so many good excursions in san fransico. in victoria i havent decidecd yet. so what are your choices?

Looks like so much to do! I have a friend since 4th grade in the bay area, so we will probably just do a walking tour/cable car tour with her one day, and probably eat dinner out. I don't care to see alcatraz - DH has done that one. I want to see Chinatown and the Chinese gardens. Probably those on the first day.

The 2nd day, I would like to see what is around the pier, also. I would like to see the WD museum for sure - I'm not sure I would take an excursion, or maybe rent a car???

In victoria, I want to rent a car and go to the castle, then see some of the victorian homes. Hoping to explore Vancouver a little, too.

I went to muir woods, lets just say I know I'm not going back there, the ride there scared me to death in a small car lol. I plan on seeing about the alcatraz and sausilto tour but can't decide if we should do day or night, got a couple more days to decide

is dcl going to offer excursions on both days in san fran?

I'm wondering this too. There are several that look interesting to me. We could actually work 3 half-day tours in (one the first morning, one that night and one the second day). I was looking at the Chinatown nighttime tour or maybe Alcatraz, but would like to do something with my daughter during the day...maybe that Muir woods tour. She loves Star Wars and would like to visit "Endor." Perhaps the Aquarium the next day, though I think we could probably do that on our own by just walking from the ship. That California Academy thing looks pretty cool.

Victoria...maybe the orca tour? That sounds like an amazing thing, if you actually see whales. I realize it isn't guaranteed, but what an opportunity. Would hate to miss tea at the Empress though. But...whales!

When we went on the Baltic cruise DCL never posted the times for the 1/2 day shore excursions but there was someone who got the info from a travel agent and posted a link. Not all of them were correct but they were close.
Back to the 1/2 DCL requires I believe 1.5 or 2 hours between the time you get back and leave on the next excursion. Due to the times of the excursions we were only able to book 1 if we did a 1/2 day. You will see the times and days for the SF tours when get book they never show on the shore excursions section of DCL. Folks who can book early can help out others by sharing days in SF since we are there two days and the times of the 1/2. There were some of the 1/2 days in St. Petersburg that they offered both days which worked well.
If my counting is correct the Platimum and Conserier level can book later this week for the repo cruise!
We have over a foot of snow in Williamsburg and some folks are not sure what to do. Tempertures are not suppose to rise until Thursday. Sue
