Getting excited about the cruise... it will be the first time my boys and I will do a solo trip (We are taking my aunt in December to help me at WDW for our annual trip, but the cruise will be just me and my boys)

I managed to book 5 days at GCV before hand, so we will have a great time at DL before hopping on the ship.

Im really excited, and look forward to the FE Exchange as well. The first Disney Cruise we did, the boys were to young and didnt really get it... but this time they want to start putting together their exchange items NOW! HAHAHA

It should be a great trip... and WOW what a great DIS turnout! Hopefully we can plan on meet-up on ship to all get together face to face!

What's next? Work on the dog?

YEP....the dog. After her first trip to the DLR kennel, my friend's dog knew exactly what to expect. On our second visit, she jumped right on the tram from the parking lot, marched through DTD and the plaza just like she knew where she was going and gave the CM at the kennel a big ole puppy dog kiss. So yes, you dog CAN be converted to a Disney lover!

(I don't know what they did to make her so happy to be back!)

We have our Vancouver hotel booked for our post-Alaska portion night. We're at the Fairmont Waterfront. Seemed like the most convenient, since it has the walkway to the cruise terminals and is right over Waterfront Station to catch the train early the next morning to YVR.

Really getting excited now! I need to order my 2011 Disneyland guide. I love guidebooks. I have a ridiculous number of them, even for WDW and I've been there 50 or so times. I know. I'm weird.

We always take the SuperShuttle from the airport to DL, they have a web site and we reserve it on the website (sorry I am not computer literate enough to provide the link, but I am sure you can google it).

Thanks for the tip. I've typically rented a car on previous trips, but with just staying a few days before the cruise and sticking only in the DL area, we'll probably look at a shuttle from LAX to VGC.

That's a great hotel. and a very nice location to see downtown from as well if you have energy in the evening after getting off the ship. You should enjoy it.

We're at the Candy Cane Inn for 2 nights. It comes highly recommended by people that have stayed there before. We are moving to the port for the night before the cruise.

We have never stayed at HoJo's but have walked there - I would say 8 minutes is a slow walker, or maybe with young children, I would say more like 5 minutes. It was easy to walk to.
