Just an FYI for anyone looking to book a stay at Disneyland before the cruise....the 2011 rates won't be out until mid-August....I called tonight to try to book our stay (since I just got off the phone with WDW booking our January 2011 pre-cruise stay) and was not able to book anything.

It's been a while since I had to book a room on cash at WDW or DL ... so I'm confused as to why a room can't be booked 10 months in advance. Did I miss something? Are you talking about cash, or DVC points?

That's odd (to me) - how do they expect people to plan vacations in advance? Is this normal for DL? I know some people have to schedule / request permission for vaca's one year in advance!

well you'll have to tell me about RCCL after, if we didn't have so many thing planned already I might look on sailing on Explorer out of NJ. We also are going to Las Vegas for work in September(never been) for work so should be nice to see a little of that

You'll have fun in Vegas! We have our convention there every year. Just be "street smart" it's a little dicey there

We just booked this cruise last week while on the Magic in the Baltic. (what a wonderful cruise)

There are three of us:
Me....denise
DH....Jimmy
DD.....Eleni (age 21 at time of cruise)

On wait list for first seating for dinner.

Does anyone know what post the trip logo is on so I can post it on my signature?

We live in Northern California and very close to SF.

DH was born and raised in SF so this will be a odd trip going to SF. Perhaps he can become a tour guide!? (and pay for the cruise with his earnings!)

Welcome Denise! We had some family on that cruise the week before you - looks like a wonderful adventure.

We would all love to know more about SF! On page 1 of this thread is lots of info and links. Toward the bottom is a link to Graphics - the logos are there. I used to have it in my siggie, but ran out of room.

Yes..this is a cash reservation....I was really surprised that I could not book. I know you can book for the following year (and even 2012) at WDW when the rates aren't released - you just pay the highest current rack rate for the room and then once that year's rates are released, your reservation is modified. I was surprised when the CM told me that their reservation system would not take any reservations arriving beyond January 4. I guess Disneyland isn't as popular as WDW.

DL is a separate entity, just like DL Paris and all the rest. WDW does things totally different. DL is certainly as popular as WDW, but there are only 3 on site hotels. You can always book with a Good Neighbor Hotel now, like Howard Johnsons, Fairfield Inn, any of them along Harbor, the Anaheim Hilton (I think) and the rest of them. Most of them are with in walking distance and if not, there is a trolley that runs from a lot of them that is very inexpensive and some have free shuttles.

I think if you really HAVE to book now, that Good Neighbors are the way yo go.

I will gladly make a roster sorted by deck. .

I have the FE Repo Roster sorted by stateroom done at the moment. I used the roster Georgie had put together so far (THANKS GEORGIE!!!) less several folks who have had to cancel (disneydreamerbelle, walt & di, cquick). I will update it periodically. Also, I did not add anybody for whom I do not know the stateroom, and I'd love to know if anybody is celebrating a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.). I'm sure there will be changes between now and April! If anybody wants it, please PM me with your email address and I will get it sent out.

And completely off topic... we are going to WDW and staying at Pop Century for a week next month. If you are in Epcot on August 25th, look inside the Living Seas aquarium as we will be scuba diving there! We are so excited and very in need of our Mickey-Fix. (The whole family has incurable Disney addictions.)

I was just looking at the Roster - nice work! I guess I haven't actually checked in here yet (although I have been reading), because I don't see myself listed - I've sent a PM as requested in post 1 so I can get added to the roster.

Anyway, I booked this cruise for me and my 2 kids, DD13 and DS11, back in November '09 when we were on the Wonder.

We are booked to fly out to LA on Saturday 4/23.
Going to stay at the Parkvue Inn in Aneheim thru 4/27.
Planning 2 days at DL and 1 day for a Hollywood tour; with Easter on that Sunday, we haven't figured out which days we'll being doing what yet, but will figure that out when we get a bit closer.
We will fly home from Seattle on 5/4.

I'm jealous of all of you doing the B2B and going to Alasak, but, we visited Alaska in 7/07 (we spent a fews days on land, then cruised the southbound route- Whittier to Vancouver), so I can't complain.
