02/23 AP Event

This AP Event falls on our first day in the parks and I am wondering if anyone knows how it will affect the crowds that day prior to the park closing??? Do the AP holders usually go in before the event starts or are they let in at 8:00 PM? It doesn't look like DL is closing any earlier to get ready for the event.

They will be mixed in with the crowds prior to closing, so the late afternoon and evening will probably be more crowded than usual. Once normal park hours are over CMs will start directing those without wristbands to Main Street and the exit and will form checkpoints at all rides and usually entrances to the lands

I wouldn't be surprised to see a slight uptick in crowds after the work/school day ends. Feb 23 and 24 are a Monday and Tuesday, respectively, and none of the APs are blocked out, so guests could enter whenever they arrive at the parks.

May I ask what event this is? We were thinking of going Sun-Tues next week and buying annual passes while we are there. TIA!

It's an "invitation" only AP event for folks with APs that are expiring between March 8 and May 23rd.

We are planning to be at DCA on Monday and were thinking of popping over to to check out the shops on Main Street Monday evening. I guess we shall have to wait and see....

We're going on Tuesday. First time seeng Fantasmic although they are a bit vague on what rides (if any) will be open.
