The menus are different but just slightly. I didn't see Cherries Jubilee on the Magic menus and that is one of my favourite desserts on the Wonder. I don't think they had Strawberry Shortcake either. Oh well, I guess it will be time to broaden my horizons!!

I think it would be quicker just to take a land taxi to get to Atlantis rather than the water taxi we took with the excursion. Besides that water taxi was sort of scary!!!! It also drops you a long ways from Atlantis and you have to walk. Not that I mind the walk, really. If you take a land taxi, I think (????) the cost is $4. per person and it drops you right at the door.

Hi Tammi. I just called DCL and we are in Nassau for the longer duration. We get to go ashore at 9:30am and have to be back on the boat at 10:30pm. It leaves at 11:00pm
As for CC it is 8:30am-5:00pm. The Magic leaves at 5:30pm.
I think we might just wait till we are on the boat to decide what we will do with the children. I heard the pirate museum is intresting. The children might want to stay on board. We have also been to Nassau twice and there is only one or two stores I want to go to and mabye over to Atlantis to do a little gambling. I read some posts that they are beaches nearby thew ship that we could also take the children to if they want to go to a beach for a few hours. I do not know why I am having such a hard time this time making a decision. I wanted to spend some time with them because I know once they go into the children's program they are not going to want to leave. We have late seating as I know the children will not want to sit at dinner except for AP.
We were at the Museum of Natural History yesterday in NY. They had two special exibit's yesterday. Frogs and Butterflies. It was wonderful. DD loved it.

We are in 7504. It is a connecting room. I read some posts and the passporter that the connecting rooms you hear more as the doors are not that insulated. Has anyone had experience with this???

Thanks for the info Gail. I'm glad to hear that we'll be in port until evening. I'd rather go to the Atlantis in the afternoon for a drink and to play the slot machines.

Great to hear from you, I had not checked this thread in a while
so your note made me do so and guess what, now I am bringing
another family with us. It a good friend of my DD and her parents.
DD was spending the night with them about 4 weeks ago and
talking about the trip. They thought it sounded like great fun and
asked about going with us and we said "great". A few dozen phone calls to our TA and we are all set. Now you can
tell your DD that there will be two girls from South Texas age 7.
Both girls are in second grade and they will miss two days of
school for the trip but I don't think they are too crushed about it!

Gail, you mentioned having tickets for sale, if you go to the budget
board on this site, they run a disney auction site. Maybe that
will help.

We did this same trip last year and the weather was fantastic
3 out of 4 days. Castaway Cay was beautiful and sunny as was
Nassau. We spent the day at Atlantis (we rented a room at
Comfort hotel). The one cold (not cold for someone from NY)day
was the sea day. It rainned and was chilly but not too bad. I
sure hope we get great weather again. Nothing like spending the
day on the beach in the sun with a cool drink. We also spent time on our balcony the weather was wonderful and we ate
breakfast each morning outside. We are doing catagory 6 again
this year as are our friends.

Thats so great that you are going too! You sent my DD a postcard last year from Micky Mouse "saying they were happy to know she was comming to see them." I put it in her Christmas stocking. She still has the card, she was looking at and reread it to me just the other night. Thank you again!!

All for now, sounds like we have a great trip in the ever so near
future!

2 days universal studios, 5 days WDW, then Disney Wonder

Hi Wintermom. DD will be so excitied. She is also in second grade. She will be missing a week of school. We are travling on 12/31 and staying t our timeshare off site. We are staying for 4 nights at the Marriott Grand Vista near Sea World. We will have 4 full days there before we cruise as our flight get in on 12/31 at 9:19am. Thre is still at GTR for cat 6 as I am seriously thinking of taking it. We had originally put a hold on a cat 7 for DH cousin's who decided not to come and I should of taken there cabin. We have a nice cabin foward on deck 7 put it is a cat 8 and I love having a balcony. It's just on the 4 day that I am not use we will get that much use out of it???? If I let my cabin go there are no more cat 8's left on deck 7. I am really driving myself crazy with this and everyone else. Enough said on that. I am SO GLAD to hear the weather was nice last year at this time of year. Where are you all on deck 6??? Have you decided mwhat you are doing in Nasau? Is this cruise selling out fast? Dsis is thinking of joining us and there don`t seem to be many categories left.

We`re spending a week before the cruise at WDW but have suggested to Dsis she maybe better at a nice quiet resort away from Orlando but don`t know where to suggest?

Anyway I hope she decides to join, us she and her family are great to be with.

Gail - If i were you I`d go for that balcony!

I thought this cruise was not too full, being sort of off the schedule I hope maybe not everyone knows about it.

I am not sure what we are going to do in Nassau, I have
rented a room the Comfort Inn but not sure I am going to
keep the reservation. If you want to do that try booking it
this way. My rate $172.00 plus tax. Go to rentalcodes.com
on the internet. Click on hotels and go to choice hotels, there is
a link that lets you book with the discount called "signigicant
organization Savings rate" it is open to anyone. It saves you
a little money. (Put that money towards the Balcony cabin).

We were on Deck 6 last year and again this year. We loved the
Balcony, sorry to say now I won't go back to not having one.

Hi everyone. TA called me back and we are now in cabin 7538 with a balcony-yeah!!!!! Thanks all for listening to me.

We decided if we do any excursions in Nassau-it will be Atlantis. We put a hold on Comfort Suites. Thanks for the infomation Celia. I booked it on that web site.

DH is booked on the fishing trip at CC.
