01/04/05 4 Day Magic Roll Call

Hi Julie. I think main means early dining??

Beautiful day in NY but on the chilly side.

TTYL-Gail

Thanks Gail,
Cold, dark and wet here in the North of England. Our typical winter weather - we get very little snow.
Can I try you with another question from our confirmation- what is GTW - is that the same as GTY?

Thanks again

Julie.

:wave2: Yes, main dining is the early dinner seating.

I just looked at our confirmation and it has GTW on it on the right hand side says .......... Num of GTW

I don't know what it stands for but not for GTY because we already have a cabin number assigned for u and it is on the confirmation.

Absolutely beautiful day here in Southwestern Ontario. The sun is shining and it is nice and warm, fall warm though, not summer warm. It was quite chilly and foggy this morning first thing.

I`ve had another look - we`ve got GTY under cabin and the GTW on the right hand corner. So that GTW remains a mystery.

Not long now folks :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi everyone. Happy Wednesdy evening. Paid in full today. Still not decided if we want a balcony or not. I know it is a 4 night cruise but I feel with 4 people in the room the extra space would be nice but I would have to also hope for warm weather to sit out there as January is ??? for warm weather.
Tomorrow is going to be a yucky day for me. I am having root canal work done on a lower tooth. My fault I let it go to long.
Have a great evening and Happy Thursday to all. Gail:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

I called the travel agent yesterday and asked her to pay the balance on our cruise too.

The exchange rate on the US $ is pretty good right now, so thought it would be a good time to take advantage.

I don't envy you your visit to the dentist tomorrow Gail.

Have a good night at least

:sunny:

Hi everyone. Happy Thursday evening.
Lots of rain in NY tonight and tomorrow. We had to canel DD's Brownie field trip tomorrow.
I have to make a decision on weather to stay in cat 8 or move to cat 5 by tomorrow. Decisions, decisions.
Have a great night everyone. Gail

Hi everyone. Long time, no post. I am getting sooooo excited now. I can't wait for our cruise for 2! I got the REAS so I think I should be able to call Debbie and get my ressies soon, right? I loved having that last time and this time will be so much more romantic with just the two of us. Just can't wait to get there!

Hi everyone. Happy Friday. We are getting so excited. The chidren are looking at the DCL book all the time especially my 3.5 year old.
We decided to stay with our cat 7 cabin-7504 as I hear it is very quiet back there. I did have the TA note our account for an upgrade. We sahll see. We will put the $$ toward other things.
We were looking at excursions and I see mixed reviews about Blue Lagoon. I am going to call the shore excursion desk as I heard there is a new excursion "Bluebeard's Cay and Sting Ray Adventure". I heard Cable Beach is nice also for the children. I also want to check out the Pirate museum as they love Pirates - especially DS. We also want to go over to Atlantis to go to the casino once the children are ready to go back to the ship. I hope it will be warm enough to go to the beach. Have any of you traveled during this time of year to the Bahammas? Have a great day everyone. Gail:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

I have travelled to the Bahamas many times in January.

Generally the temperature is quite nice, upper 70's - upper 80's.

Thanks Robin.
I just called the shore excursion desk and I booked their new excursion " Blackbeard's Cay and Stingray Adventure" It sounds like fun and DD has begged us to swim with the stringrays. They told me it is a 4.5-5 hour trip. They go over on a catamaran that takes about a half an hour. There i not much feedback or information on this excursion as it is fairly new. I will go post the question to see if anyone has done this yet. Gail

Hi Robin. I see I am not up alone. We just got back from NYC. We went to the museum of Natural History. So much fun. DD loved the frog and butterfly exibits.
I am now thinking again for the 100th time I should go with the balcony room???!!!
We will sign up for the brunch this time as DD was sick when we were on the Wonder back in August 2003. We did not get to see to much.
I read some terrible reviews on other sites in regards to Blackbeard Cay's excursion. I will have to find a diifrent one. Mabye we will get a room at confort suites for Atlantis. I can get a rate including all taxes for $225.00. The only downfall is that DS will to be short and to young for the water slides.
Does anyone have any plans for Nassau??? I have read that a lot of people stay on the ship. TTYL-Gail

Hi Gail

We tend to stay on the ship in Nassau, sort of anyways.

Last time I got off briefly with my daughter and my niece and walked to the Straw Market. The locals along the way were pretty scarey though, so we didn't stay out long. Some of the men's comments were not so very nice and I had 2 - 16 year old girls with me!!!

We have gone over to Atlantis on one of the shore excursions. If we were to go again I think we would just take a taxi over and wander around on our own.

I am considering spending some time on the ship on Nassau day in the spa. The Rainforest Room looks like somewhere I would like to spend some time in.

I was just checking out the differences in the menus between the Magic and the Wonder. Thinking about the food already ::yes::

DH and I were thinking of going over to Atlantis on our own also. The rainforest spa does sound very nice though. I just wanted to confirm that it's only the Wonder 3 night cruise that is leaving Nassau earlier than usual. I'd love to sleep in, spend some time in the rainforest and then go over to Atlantis in the late afternoon.
I'm not overly impressed with Nassau, did it once, that was enough for me.

I didn't know the menus were different on the Magic. Looks like I have some research to do today.
