$0.41 Swap - COMPLETE

Now to go thru my stash. How much can I actually fit in an envelope...

Yes, what will happen to your swaps?
Is there an alternative delivery system? Like instead of the USPS (government postal service) we can use FEDEX or UPS. Do you have that there? We could send all your swaps to one person to hold on to and then send them in one global shipment.

I was thinking the same thing. Great minds think a like.

So, she doesn't have to give up swapping during this time, instead of aghost writer, she could have a ghost swapper.:lmao:

Thanks for thinking of me! They'll just sit where ever they've got to - its only one day, and they do empty post boxes etc on Saturday mornings so it shouldn't hold anything up too much. Stuff I post on Monday will be out of the country by the time it hits, so its only stuff in transit, and I hope most of it should be here by Thursday as its landing on local people already. I've got to get more $ though so one swap (scavenger) will be held up a bit, but its early anyway.

What kind of envelope do most people use for this type of swap? Bubble, manilla, regular legal size, regular letter size?

I picked up a bubble only because I'm sending eyelets etc. and I don't want them poking through a regular

That's a good question. Going by the two $.41 stamp concept, I've been filling an envelope that holds a card the size of a folded-in-half piece of paper. It's not sealed and mailed, so if that's not what I should be doing, I can put it in another envelope. It's pretty thick, and I will take it to the PO to make sure there's enough postage on it. I'm thinking about putting the goodies in a quart-sized freezer baggie in case the PO isn't careful, I don't want anything escaping.

I'm using a modified bubble envelope. It was a really big one, cut down to fit what I am sending. I can't use a regular envelope for the items I have. And I am quite certain it will be more than 2 stamps, but that is my choice to make.

The choice is yours on what kind of envelope to use and totally depends upon what you sending. Just make sure it is sealed well along all edges.

So, is this some of the same stuff we would be putting in the embellishment pizza box? Stuff like the extra stickers on a sheet? I have a lot of stickers that I bought for various Make-A-Wish albums and only used one or two. They're nice stickers but I just don't need them. Are those OK to send?

Hmmm, will I let you send me stickers?
:rotfl:

Yes, you can send me stickers. Any cool Disney ones?

And for those of you wanted to send stickers, feel free to cut the sheets so they fit in the envelope.

The "leftover" stickers are very boy appropriate. I bought them for a few MAW boy albums I did. The Disney stickers are brand-new. :thumbsup2

My envelope is approx 5x7 or so. I just like to add more bits and pieces. I am still going through my drawers. heading to Michaels to get one more thing for my paper clips so i only have to go to the PO once.

I started out in a regular envelope and then an invitation one and then I ended up with a bubble envelope.

I had to stop myself and remember it's for an envie swap. :goodvibes

OK. I've had to bump two envelope sizes already and I still feel like I'm not sending enough. I know you said $5.00 worth and I'm way over that but I am still wondering how much is enough. I don't want to be cheap or short-change anyone.

I was the same way Shauna! My envie is going to be heavier than 2 stamps, but I'm cool with that :) I like to share

I was a bad, bad girl I went to Michael's...nuff said..lol...:lmao:

**hangs head down, scoots her toes in the carpet"

Ok, alright, I confess, I bought some goodies for my envelope. I just couldn't help myself. I am putting odds & ends in too. Guess I better duck and cover into room 101.

:rotfl:
I confess, I went overboard too.
I bought a bunch of what a LSS called Pizza Boxes and they were Pizza Boxes full of really cool stuff. Things that they couldn't sell so they ***bined into a grab bag. $25 for the box and it had at least 20 pieces of paper. Anyway, one box had Alphabet Transfers To Go, by K&***pany that was $11.99 full price. That is going in the envelope.
My envelope will be stuffed of stuff from my stash. :teeth:

Hey, why won't it let me say words that have c o m in them?

Still have six people who haven't picked up their names.
Hopefully they will be able to soon.

Remember, this should be in the mail no later than Wednesday.

Please post here or PM me when it is mailed and when you received your envelope and what was inside.

Thanks in advance for being on time and for making someone else's day a little bit brighter. :sunny:

Got my name, filled my big envelope with lots of goodies and it is ready to send on Monday. DH will have to mail it because I'm leaving for a trip to my sister's on Monday.

I'll let you know when it has been mailed.
