Speaking of sharing - I have been known to bring a rolling soft sided cooler filled with beer. Once on board, we hang out by the pools and enjoy a beverage or two. As we meet people, I have always been very eager to share, especially with newbies who did not know you could bring beer on board. It is a great start to the cruise, and a great way to meet people.

Sounds like DH too! He is also my personal bartender.... makes deeelicious rootbeer floats, cherry floats, and vanilla floats ~ adult style. Sounds like we may have to increase our Vanilla McGillicuddys to the biggest or double up on it! We like to share Is it Coke products on the ship? Sure hope so! Also, does the ship have half & half cream?

Maybe we need to ship to Silverfox97's for carry on luggage

I'd share, but I actually don't drink. For some reason I've never been able to stomach the taste of alcohol. I like more the girlier drinks I guess, where they hide the taste better. I can be the deisngated KTTW card holder...to make sure no one has any "accidents" lol

I'm all for the BYOB thing, but how do you go about serving yourself, and where? Do you bring your own corkscrew (or bottle opener) and glasses? Do you bring it to the restaurants with you? Not understand how this all works (don't want to look too tacky carrying around my box or keg ).

We live in Maryland. My husband is from Pensacola Florida and I am from Dothan Alabama. I am excited about the cruise, but also nervous. This will literally be unchartered waters for us. I look forward to getting to know you all and learn as much as I can about the Disney Cruising world.

When we have brought wine years ago, we called room service and asked for two wine glasses and a cork screw. On a subsequent cruise, I remember going to a bar and asking for the glasses and cork screw. I don't know if room service stopped delivering, or if we did not want to wait. I also think the bartender opened the wine for us (no corkage fee). You can also just bring your own corkscrew.

Since DW does not drink a lot of wine, I have gone back to beer. I don't think I ever took a beer to the dining rooms (I might order the DOTD there), but there were no issues with taking a can to the pool area, Walt Disney Theatre, or the night clubs.

If you want to take a drink (beer or wine) to the dining rooms, I would suggest pouring into a glass first (and you could use a really big glass!). While it probably is allowed, I would not feel comfortable with bringing unopened cans to the dining rooms.

I had no problems in January taking an open bottle of my beer (micro-brew not sold on ship) into the dinning rooms.

Our first night I stopped at the lounge to pick up wine glasses. Later that night our stateroom hostess removed them thinking they were dirty. Next day DW put a not on them not to take. Following that she left 2 fresh wine glasses each day.
