I'm a GB Packer fan, so I will be in Diversions Sunday afternoon...although since we're in Key West, I may just settle for score updates or catch at a bar on Duval. Hubby is a NE Patriot fan, and his team plays Thanksgiving, and not again until the day after we get off the ship :-( Last year I got to catch the Packer game on the Ariel view tv...sweet!

I'm not leaving for 8 days, but I am also that guy that is running around!

Work insanity...planning this Wii Just Dance Party for Saturday....trying to pack....YIKES!

Hopefully I dn't indugle in too many Mike's Hard Lemonade (or my favorite, Mango Punch) on Saturday and I can get all the packing done on Sunday (in addtion to cleaning up after the party, I'm sure)

Can't believe some of you leave in 3 days. That is total craziness.

I am planning on savoring every minute of our cruise so it does NOT fly by like these weeks have done. Maybe we can get the Captain to go REALLY slowly so it feels longer, too.

Off to the salt mines...Happy Thursday everyone, only one more of these to go, and that is TURKEY DAY and not a work day

morning everyone!
got our docs yesterday!! but...they only gave me two luggage tags so its still not all correct. GAH!!!

I am heading back home on monday so I can get out clothes and suitcases and things and then I can officially start packing. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Morning everyone and congrats on those that (finally) got their cruise docs! (sorry to hear about the luggage labels though)

I passed the point of insanity last night and have moved on to the "what will be will be" phase. Plan tonight is to wrap and get DH's suprise birthday pressie buried in the suitcase before he gets home , get a few more things put in the case, and the rest will be formalwear stuff that I won't pack until tomorrow night and then the last minute throw in stuff on Saturday before we leave at 7 am.

I too am trying hard not to think about the fact that the "wait" is over...and the ultimate price that has to be paid for that

I'm sure I will be lurking a lot by the end of the day today and tomorrow...I have a few more things at work, but for the most part I'm pretty caught up (famous last words! )

Hey Everyone!

Things for me have been crazy too! I can't even remember if I let you all know that my DD just got engaged, so she wants to have the hall etc. booked before DH and I leave for the cruise. It has been very stressful trying to work it all out and I have done nothing for the cruise....ok, well I have 2/3 of my FE done. No packing....nothing!

Last night DH sat me down because he is worried about me. Usually I am off the wall crazy excited when it comes to vacation, but with everything that has happened this past month, I am just not feeling it. Other than being overwhelmed that is. I actually talked last night about canceling even though we would loose the money.

I had someone say congrats to my this morning about my daughter and I just burst into tears. DH has emailed me this morning 3 times to cheer me up! I am not going to cancel, but something had better give in the next couple of days!!!

Thanks for letting me vent (although no one really had a choice)

I am going to try to start doing some stuff tomorrow, i think

Sorry to hear that you are having a rough time and are stressed to the max - the cruise might be just what you need to get a break and get away from it all. If the FE stuff doesn't get done then you can use it on your next cruise and nobody will care...just throw some clothes in a suitcase and bring money for cocktails - you'll be fine!

Yeah!!! Great advice...We just want you there and you need the relax part! I know I do! So, don't worry about the FEs, or worry about perfect outfits or clothes, as long as you have clothes to wear and cocktail money...Disney will take care of the rest for you...grab this chance at relaxation...we just went through a wedding last year...it's a whirlwind...and we were the parents of the GROOM!!

I do understand, truly I do, work has been off the hook the past two weeks, and today was no exception...I'm just looking at this cruise as a chance to slow down, catch my breath and restock my sanity! sounds like you need it for the same reason!!!

Laura - take a deep breath and picture yourself on the cruise with a nice big cocktail in your hand with the warm breezes blowing.......

As the other said, don't stress about the FE or anything else. Just pack a couple of outfits and bring some money (or just a credit card) and ENJOY!

I am with Steph - work is insane and I am REALLY looking forward to some relaxation on the cruise. Join us and forget about the real world for a week!

As if I'm not worried about enough already with work and a party this weekend....now all the stories about the full body scanners and the "enhanced" pat downs at the airports!

WHile I read on the DIS that they won't do pat downs on kids younger than 14 ther is a video of a 3 year old crying about being touched during one!

While I'm not 100% a fan of the full body scanners, I would choose that for myself and my kids over the pat down.

Anyone else concerned about this? They have these at both BDL and MCO - the 2 airports we will use.

Laura - so sorry that you are feeling so stressed out I agree with the consensus - don't worry about FEs, perfectly organized packing and just bring yourselves and money for cocktails. Enjoy each other's company and relax. That's what's important.

Laura - hang in there. Congrats on your DD getting engaged. That's a fun, special time. Just relax and enjoy it. I agree w/ Darcy - forget about the FE's. We'll all still like ya no matter what.

Today's been one of the best and worst days for me work-wise. Managed to win a new client and tick of another in the same day. 2010 just hasn't been kind. As my boss said ... at least 2010 is almost over. I told him not to hold his breath.

We're just days away, folks!!!

I'm with everyone else, Laura...do not worry about FEs. Just be sure to show up to the ship on time with yourselves (and a few bucks for a few drinks!) and you are good to go!

I cannot believe we are finally in single digits! 9 DAYS!!!

Work has been a real challenge, but I'm just holding my breath until next week Wednesday at around 3:00 p.m. Then I can breathe a sigh of relief.

I survived a 1st grade field trip to Sea World today. 18 kids in my daughter's class, and lots of excitement. It was a great day, but I am sure tired. I could have used that time to get ready for the cruise, but I am so happy I went. My favorite part of the day was getting off the Polar Express and all the kids seeing Santa at the same time. Christmas Spirit big time!

I feel like I'm doing things backwards! I sent my box to DCL, but I still haven't even packed the WDW box...and we'll be at WDW next Tuesday. Hmmm...guess I wasn't quite thinking that through!

Darcy, we have those scanners too, and I agree, I'd rather go through them than have a pat down...I've been 'selected' twice in the past to have the old pat down and that was bad enough, I can't imagine going through the 'enhanced' one!

Yes, they have changed the rules about kids and that youtube video was a great part of the reason. We work so hard to teach our kids to do exactly what that little girl was doing....and the poor mom, I couldn't imagine what she was feeling! I believe they still have a pat down, but it's not as invasive.

Pretty soon, I'm just not going to fly anymore. I know it's for our safety, but I also don't want to be groped in public by a stranger. I had a friend who got yelled at to take off her sweater...and she refused because that is all she had on...it almost got ugly until a female TSA agent took over from him.

Speaking of ebay - I remembered on Wednesday to order some pins for trading on the ship. Found a set of 20 for only $18 (and fee shipping) and they shipped that day.

I'm trying to get the kids ready for school and then off to the grocery store (for the party tomorrow), then cleaning and working until I pick the kids up at 3. We are having DDs best friend over to give her the going away presents (she moves tomorrow morning ). OH...and a pedicure thrown in as I wasn't able to get an appointment for next Wednesday.

Happy Friday everyone...only one more to go, and for me that's a 1/2 work day and then flying day!
