@ Gailyn. Have you tried Motion Eze? We found it at Wal-mart before our first cruise in 2005 and haven't used anything else since. Its a ginger ointment that you put behind your ears and on your wrists. If you find some I highly recommend it. It has always worked for my "Green around the gills" moments on the boat and for turbulence on planes.

I just went over into the States(we are Canadian) last week to buy our motion sickness meds for the cruise. I buy the no name brand from Target that is a non drowsy formula, it is 25 mg of meclyszine, which is what the brand of Bonamine is, just much cheaper. Something like 1.75 a package. We start on them a few days before the cruise, taking only one at night before we go to bed and continue the same way through the cruise and a few days after. We never have a problem, hopefully it stays that way!

H2O is having an online sale starting tomorrow at noon, and going through Thursday. 25% off. I will email you the code once I hunt that email down! (Saw it come through earlier today!)

Would love that code also, i could purchase and have it shipped to our resort.

If you are participating in the FE, please try to attend the cruisemeet because if folks decide to upgrade staterooms at the port (or if they get upgraded by pixie dust beforehand but too late to post here), we want to have an accurate list. I now need to figure out how to make one or order one from someplace quickly! I'll also need to learn the ropes about how to locate everyone's FE to give out the gifts!

We are opposite...I have my FE (love it!) but my gifts are not done.

love the map that Chris did...it's now on my list to have extra copies of that to bring in case someone forgets theirs.

Really hoping to get my clothes changed over for the seasons and therefore pick out my cruising clothes and have that off my list.

Picked up some frames for the photo mats to be signed by the characters and DD wanted a t-shirt signed, so got that, too. Need to remember to bring a cardboard so the marker doesn't go through.

Lots of work still to be done for that place that gives me a paycheck. Like I said, I will DEFINITELY be ready for some cocktails and cruising by the time we leave. I am earning this time off, for sure!

I know I am ready for this vacation too....I got really angry at work this morning because of some stupid thing someone did that caused me to have to go back and REDO an entire day's worth of work...... add to that I haven't had time for lunch at all this week...working with one hand eating with the other...

Luckily nobody is there as early as I am so I could scream and rant and yell to my hearts content and nobody could hear me.....

One more day this week, just have to make it one more day.....

Our FE officially closed a few weeks ago, in mid-October, but I would be more than happy to share a few surprises with you as I have a few extras! I am so excited too! But completely overwhelmed. I have so much to do at work and home before this trip that I feel I might go insane. To top things off I was told this week that I have to go on a business trip the 3 days before we leave for the drive down to FL. Seriously??? don't they know I am going on vacation? Of course they do, which is why the mandate came down for me to travel the week before I leave, because I won't be available for two weeks! grrrrr

I am really going to need this vacation by the time we hit North Carolina.

Anyone here already planning on signing up for the same week in 2012?? I was wondering if Disney will have those available for us to book while we are onboard. They did 2 years ago, when we rebooked this one.

Also, anyone here see a credit from DCL on their statements recently? I can't figure out why they would be giving me a credit unless the rates went lower than when we booked, so after we paid in full they gave us a little credit??? Just strange.....

Counting down, 2 weeks from right now I will be getting home from my business trip and going to sleep in my own bed for the last night until December 5th!!! YEAH!

Happy that it's Friday (finally) and only 3 more Friday to make it through until we are on the Magic (and only 2 more until we fly out of CT).

I have made no progress on anything except to add things to my list of things to do.

We are closing on the refinance today which is great, especially since we are taking 2 years off the current mortgage, paying off the second (which we got to put an addition on 8 years ago) and getting some cash out for some home repair/upgrades.

Of course, I'm going to want to book a cruise with that money, but I don't think I can. I'd love to book another for 2012, but not sure (1) we can afford it as we just did a big Disney trip last year as well and (2) if my kids will not want as much Disney by the time they are almost 11. We shall see. I'd love to put a deposit on a dummy date in any event.

Off to get the kids ready for school....have a great Friday everyone!

so...I emailed DCL to ask when I would get my GTY cabin assignment, and instead I got a lecture on what GTY means. Ok...I know what it means, I was just asking if they knew my room number yet! gah!!!

Welcome S&J. We are glad to have you aboard. PM me your room # too. I always have a little extra pixie dust to spread around. We are sailing for the first time without our DS so I have to spread the love somehow.

WOOHOO on the credits. I haven't called about ours. I like to be surprised. Nor have I called about our dining rotation. I just wanna be on the BOAT.

All is well here other than being a little cold for my taste. The dogs looked at me funny when I told them they had to go out in 22 degree wind chill. I can't believe we are already to that time of year. But that means I get to leave on vacation in just 19 days and a wake up.

My boss is gone out of town today so I have to get my work done this morning so that I can work on cruise stuff this afternoon. I have to get magnets on my door hangings and sign and date all the cards for my DS (he gets a card each day while I'm gone). I'm about two steps away from getting my package ready to mail. I have to set a deadline or nothing gets done in my life.

I watched a little of the GMA on the Dream this morning. Our friends have booked at B2B next year at the beginning of November on the Dream. We are going to try to do a 3 day with them. We also have a cruise booked for the week after thanksgiving next year. So we may have to make a decision and push off one of them. I plan to book another dummie cruise while on board. I heard that the OBO for Gold members is like $250.00. I would be glad to have a credit for the Dooney and Burke purse I'm going to get while on board.

Well life calls this morning. I must work. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys their weekends. Its garage cleaning out time of year. We make our annual pilgrimage to goodwill or dav and donate what we don't need.
