last year, we cruised in early December and I used a Christmas Stocking...however, I know there are directions on a thread on the board on how to make your own, or there are people on ebay who sell them. Not sure what I will do for this trip. I may just be using my stocking again as it worked well last year....

I didn't know about the billing cycle issue with Disney Visa. I thought whenever you charged a DCL fare it was 6 mos same as cash from that date. Am I confused???

On the question of Palo, we have booked successfully at 90 days out and day of boarding and have been able to book both brunch and dinner. The only difference is we didnt get our first choice of days and a later dinner - maybe 8:00. Not the best, but not going to turn it down.

Eeks, now I have to figure out my billing cycle!

It's based on your billing cycle for the 6 months free, they won't have the promo amount have a different due date than your credit card. So, still not sure what I will do. I may just suck it up and pay before the 90 days so I can try to get Palo reservations up front. It's not a huge difference in time for payment, but every little bit helps!

Darcy - The cut off date for the FE works well for me - thanks! Less than 3 months before the FE cut off which means we are inching closer and closer!! Thanks for coordinating all of that - hopefully it won't get too out of control towards the end.

We still haven't booked our airfare. I don't think the price is ever going to come down, so I think we just have to bite the bullet. It must be the Thanksgiving holiday. Oh, well. I just want to cross that item off my list.

Gailyn - I agree airfare is crazy right now and has been since our date opened up. I booked the first day that JetBlue announced they will be flying out of BDL and ever since then, their rates have been going up and up. So...while it's more than I paid last year, it's still decent and I have great flight times. Plus, with flying out on the day after Turkey Day, I don't think they will be doing many "sales" for that date.

I also have friend going to WDW t11/6 - 13 and her fares are insane! It's right before JetBlue starts out of Hartford, so she can't use that, and the other airlines don't seem to be having any discounts for that week.

I'm just happy to have the airfare off my list and paid for. whew. Now it's just the final payment decision for 90 days or 75 days....

Gailyn - Sorry the fares aren't cooperating. It's hard to know if they will come down, but they definitely seem to have gone up and then stayed there. I think you are right that it's because of the holiday - it is the peak travel holiday of the year I suppose.

Darcy - Any further thought on the 75 v 90 dilemma?

Which leads me to another question. Am I pretty much going to be out of luck trying to get a Palo reservation without being a CC member? Because I'm not really sure how the whole dining rotation thing will work out, I didn't want to book it and then find it's a night we'd rather be doing something else.

We have our air, and will likely pay everything in full at 90 days so we can get Palo. We want one night with my mom and another just DH and I Maybe the brunch, but having never done it before I am not sure. 4 of us are CC members, Mom isn't and we have 2 rooms so I guess I will grab what we can!

We have decided to do the dolphins in Cozumel for sure, thinking about Boatswains on our own and Key West too...

I HATE when airlines change flight schedules and do not notify you!!! I like to check the fares on jetblue as they will give you a credit if the fare goes down.

Our flight times have CHANGED since I booked! We were supposed to leave BDL at 3:00 pm to arrive at MCO at 6:00. Now it leaves at 4:30 PM to arrive at 7:30 pm!!!

Now I am even more glad that we booked the Hyatt at MCO....

We aren't using DCL transportation, we are using a car service, but yes, there is a DCL check in desk at the Hyatt. I am just unclear if we can still use this to check in if we aren't using DCL busses to get to port. We were able to last year when we were at the Poly before the cruise, so hoping it's the same. It definitely make our "check in" at the port much quicker!

As for my flights, yesterday, I got a call on my cell that I didn't recognize the number and it was jetblue telling me about my schedule changes, it was kind of funny that i saw it before I got the notification. Checked my emails and had an email from them as well about it.

Oh well, as long as it doesn't get much later....

AGREED! I am just fearful of a storm that will affect flying even more....there is a 9 AM on Saturday (we are flying out on Friday afternoon) that gets in at 12 that we could take (if there is room) if our flight is cancelled on Friday. Yeah, like I need the stress of thinking about THAT possibility!!!

We also just booked the KSF April MR 10 day. Now I have two sets of fairfare to by!! EEKS!

We're in Mighigan now on vacation. It's so nice to sit by the pool and surf disboards. I'm so ready for this cruise. Now if I can only loose 20 lob. hmmmmm.

Could be worse, Darcy! We leave Dulles at 9:35 and get in just before midnight...and yes, we are at the Hyatt too!!! Have to work the day after Thanksgiving as my 'opposite' wanted Thanksgiving weekend! After knowing we had this cruise booked!
