I don't think there's ANY drive that could make me wanna end a vacation!!! Well, maybe one or two, but for the most part, I hate to go home. It's just a "back to reality" type of thing!!

Oh now when I lived in Redondo Beach, it was WONDERFUL to go home. . .sit on the deck, watch the waves roll in. . .mmmmm. . .and yeah, I normally don't want to leave a vacation either. . .but hey. . .it was nice. . .

Yeah, some drives home are nice. And I do want to be home. It's just that the drive to your destination is always so much more exciting!!

Those exciting road signs pointing out exits and small towns dotted throughout the desert?

And, hey, look! That cactus looks like a mickey head!

See how exciting it can be?

same thing with driving home to Tucson...desert...cactus...desert...cactus...BORING! We drove up to Washington up the California and Oregon coast one time and it was amazing. Some of my favorite memories of the trip are from the drive up. Coming back to Tucson we cut through Utah, Northern part of AZ, etc. to save time...I was so depressed on the drive back.
