Applied the discount today and saved $113 on our room!

Finally booked our room yesterday! We can be changed from planning a trip to staying at the Wilderness Lodge from May 25-31st. Our dates also changed a bit since we decided to upgrade from a moderate.

will fast pass+ be used on JTA? meeet and greets? just wondering because i know thoes who stay in a disney hotel can get fast passes early and we wont be so i did not know if thats the case, will it be harder to do that stuff.

Ok opinions needed... I applied the discount to our reservation this morning. We are currently booked for May 2-7 Contemporary TPV room. Our new total is $4267. I am being indecisive about our resort. We could stay at Poly in a standard view room for a total of $3570. Or we could stay at Wilderness Lodge for a total of $3066. We are traveling with a 6 year old and an 8 month old. What would you all do?? Keep the reservation at the Contemporary, or change to save more money? Is it worth the extra $$ for a TPV room at the Contemporary (we had one at Poly last time)? Is it worth being on the monorail, or would Wilderness Lodge be just as convenient since it is so close to MK. Questions and decisions. Hmmmm.

I don't think a TPV is that important, saving money would be the way to go so you can take another trip with your family again to WDW. But I highly recommend a monorail resort with little ones for the sake of the stroller. Can you get into the Contemporary without a TPV? There is nothing easier than being able to walk to MK. Let us know what you decide.

For the BOG lunch reservation thing, do those open up to us in March like the other FP+ options? It just confuses me because it lets me pick a date but then says "There are no FastPasses available. Please select another day." and not something more along the lines of "You can reserve a FastPass for this date 60 days prior to your arrival"

I've been checking it periodically since our initial 180 days out. So I hope I'm just jumping the gun on it (on a completely unrelated note, this site needs to get a smiley that is a totally common one haha)

Yes. You can't reserve fast passes until 60 days before your trip. BOG lunch is fast pass reserved, not dining reserved like BOG dinner (which you can do 180 days out)

Alright, we switched hotels for our trip since we aren't going to have 5 people but instead 4.... So May 29-June 3 at all star sports.

Another May visitor reporting in!!

Its the first time we have visited at this time of year, so Its going to be quite a transition for us. We've previously tended to visit end Feb / start of March (hitting the beginning of Flower & Garden). in 2013 we managed this plus 2 weeks at Halloween for Food and Wine / MNSSHP & MVMCP which was such a lot of fun.

The May trip will be another one filled with firsts for us - a trip aboard the Fantasy from the 17th - 24th, then a week at the Wilderness Lodge afterwards. Of course, couldn't resist adding a couple of nights to the beginning of the holiday so we could catch the end of Flower & Garden Festival - couldn't miss it if we could help it! So were delighted to be going back to POFQ for 2 nights from the 15th of May. So of course we have the bonus of managing to make it to SWW for the first time too - we can pop by early on the first morning (might as well make the jet lag useful...) before heading over to F&G, then back on the 25th for a full day of the madness.

And all of this is only 130 days away - I really do need to be more prepared! The weather, the crowds, the very big boat...

Can I join you? My family is finally going back to WDW after having to cancel our trip 2x last year. We are going in early May and staying at the AOA in a Lion King Suite. Best part is that I just called and got the new discount applied to our reservation and saved about $350 between the hotel discount and the extra day ticket

Could you please add us to the list? We will be there from 5/23-6/2 doing a split stay. We are first staying at BC from 5/23-5/26 and then moving over to VWL from 5/26-6/2 (staying in a Studio). We are very excited to be going at this time of year and cannot wait. I know this will be a very busy time of year too, with Memorial Day weekend and all, but we are planning on doing a ton of relaxing and taking advantage of RD. We are also trying to stay away from the parks that have EMH and will not be going to SWW because we heard that it gets crazy busy at DHS during the weekends. Since we have the WP&F option, we are also planning on spending 2 days at TL and a day at DisneyQuest .

Double resort!!! I would love to do that one day!! My only concern is packing everything and moving to another place. (Note, when I say packing I'm talking about 2 girls the wife and myself) Added!

Well, we have decided not to go in May after all; we just went in Dec, and have another trip planned for Oct. If only the flights from California were cheaper. Have a great trip everyone!! I'm off to find an Oct group!

Thank you! I thought that would be the case, but it was making me antsy that the site for reserving the FP didn't say that.. they should make it clearer on the actual BOG FP site

Coronado Springs in May is absolutely glorious! We've been there twice during that period of time. We are going to try Port Orleans Riverside this time, just to try something new.

I believe your question has been answered, but I have a question for you. Is your confirmation # all numbers or does it have letters? I'm not even getting as far as you are. I can't even input my # because of the the letters.

Log into My Disney Experience, click on "Magic Bands and Cards" and you should see "Your Orders". Under that you'll see "Resort Reservation" and you should find an all numbers confirmation # there! Hope that helps!!

No problem! I'm glad I could help Believe me... I thought the same thing! I searched forever trying to find some sort of confirmation number with no letters when one day I magically stumbled upon it! Now our 60 day marks need to get here so we can grab a BOG FP!

Alan_Refroe, We are super happy! Can you recommend room or location? We would like to be close to El Centro so we can stop there in the mornings for drinks and a bite on the way to the park. We don't mind having a further walk to the Dig site. Noise isn't a big deal either. Also I checked out your itinerary for your up coming trip. Thanks for posting. I have thought about posting ours for suggestions or comments. Hope you like POR. We were planning there but the rooms with discounts were booked up.
