Nice selection of ADR! Added :flower3:

That's awesome!!! How old is she? Added pirate:

She is 17. My friend took her grands in a few years back. This is the 1st vacation ever for her DGD. So she is 17 but is excited for WDW like a 5 yr old!

I don't know why I asked, Age is just a number. I think its safe to say that we all act like 5 year olds when it comes to WDW. admit it... :lmao:

I wonder how soon we'll all be able to make our FP+ choices. I get taunted with a pop up to make my selections whenever I log into the disneyworld website.

I get that too! It's supposed to be at 60 days out but everything has been happening super early for me...

I got my DME tags and vouchers at 180 days out.
I could customize MB at 152 days out.
I have confirmation that my PP+ stuff is shipped.

...I wonder if FP+ will be early too??

Wow... I didn't get DME tags yet, but I also haven't put in my airline info yet. We can do PP+ now too? Yeeesh. I guess I should get on that too.

I will be bring a cheap coffee pot and using during my stay. I will be leaving very early on the Sat the 24th from POP and would be more than happy to pass it along if anyone is interested ( otherwise, I just leave it in the room and it probably gets thrown out). For the $10 at Walmart , it's worth me carrying it in my carryon so that I can have coffee in the room every morning while getting ready. PM me if interested

I'm wondering if there is a list somewhere that recommends what type of planning things we should be doing in the months leading up to our trip.
I've got our restaurants books, working on our passports, but other then that, feel like I'm lost in terms of what else I should be doing for planning. I'd rather do as much now, as I can than leave it all at the end.
Lists, make me feel more organized :)

thanks!

The ADRs are a huge one to get done at the 180 mark and since you did that, you are on the right track!!!

Recently, FP+ got introduced into the mix. It looks likes the window for those selections starts 60 days out from your trip. But as FP+ is new and not finalized, this could change. I would just pay attention to the boards and/or periodically go into your my disney experience on the disneyworld site and see if you can make those selections yet.

Are you taking Disney Magical Express from the airport? You can make those reservations now if you have.

PP+ (PhotoPass+) can be bought at anytime. To get the discounted advance rate, you must purchase it at least 14 days before your trip, though.

Magic Bands -- Also new and apparently, anyone going in May can make those selections now to customize them. As you mentioned passports, I'm assuming this means you are not traveling from the States? I believe your magic bands will be shipped to your resort and not to you directly. They will be waiting for you upon your arrival.

Am I forgetting anything else people? :)

Thanks so much!

Yes... we are from Canada. I was disappointed that we can't get our magic bands, or those customized maps from the disney site because we aren't in the states. But that is ok, I'm still having fun planning with other things! :)

I know what you mean. This is the worst part of this entire "planning" process...this big gap. Leading up to the ADRs I was all over the boards and blogs reading about all the dinning options...Now I feel lost :confused3 I want to plan something, but i dont know what. I even have my touring plans figured out.

Does anyone have a template for index cards to put your day by day plans on? I'm think of something like this: on the front has park hours, show hours, ADR confirmations and hints or tips. On the back I want my plan of attack for that park (order of rides/attractions and FP+ times). If anyone has something or has seen any thing like this I'd love some advice.

This so hard... Plan plan and then.. NOTHING. It drives me batty and I end up reading and reading and second guessing and changing and guessing some more :)

I tend to print out all my ADRs and put that paper in my backpack/purse to carry with me at all times. The rest, I keep in my head. But with FP+ being in the mix this year, I may go to an index card method like you mention.

One idea is to write everything up on index cards and go into Kinkos to have them laminated. You could then put a hole punch in the corner of each and attack a key ring. Then you'd have a waterproof collection of all your plans with you.
