ª"˜˜ª¤.¸Team August 2013 Thread! (Part 2)¸.¤ª˜˜"ª&#9733

but I am bursting to "share" and we've decided to wait to tell family and friends so thought maybe I could tell all of you!:flower3:

We are adopting a daughter from Haiti :lovestruc, just started the process on Tuesday this week. We've been considering this for several years, but just started seriously thinking/praying about this since early April. God has blessed our family the last couple years and we feel he has put Haiti in our hearts for a very specific reason. We are stepping forward in faith that there is a little girl who will become part of our family...so excited...and a bit nervous. Haiti is not the easiest place to adopt from, their system is a bit unorganized. We will just have to be patient and trust God in his timing.

So, in 32 days we head to Disney on what will probably be our last trip as a family of 6. We've decided Disney is on hold until after the adoption is complete....but look forward to visiting with our new daughter some day!

Thanks for letting me share :)

Congratulations to your entire family. What an exciting time ahead :) .

Just popping in to say HI!! and soak up everyones excitement!!:goodvibes
I hope you all have a wonderful trip. I miss planning with you all. I have jumped headfirst into puppy planning. Holy moly ..getting ready for a new puppy is like getting ready for a baby. We've fixed up the gates and the fence to be puppy proof, purchased toys, food, baby gates, dishes, a crate, bones, clickers, beds, etc. I even have a stuffed sling shot mallard duck for retrieving:rotfl2:
We have emailed with trainers and about puppy classes. We've popped in to see our vet and set up appointments for all of our shots and boosters. We still have to puppy proof the house. I have 4 different books on my nightstand, have joined a Labrador forum and today I bought a baby pool for the backyard.
I am ready and excited and have moments of "OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?!!".
Basically I am planning for this puppy like I plan for Disney..obsessively. ;)
We picked a name democratically for our new Chocolate Lab pup and his name will be "Charlie Brown"::yes::

We're excited and ready. So as much as I wish I were still planning with all of you, I get a new family member in 15 days!!!! And we will be going to Disney in December when my sister can watch him.
I hope everyone has a wonderful trip and I will pop in to see all of your reviews and updates!!:goodvibes

Can't wait to see pics of the new fellow!!! And his name is adorable and so fitting......good choice :thumbsup2 .

Via Napoli for lunch 12:45 with the grandparents(my parents) or Biergarten for dinner 5:30 sans grandparents? Both options include DS 4 and DD 2.

I want to leave for a break and come back mostly for Illuminations.....

We are eating at both with our 2 year old, however if I had to pick one I would pick Via Napoli I think because I know my 2 year old would like it better. But we're eating at Biergarten for the atmosphere!

Wow - go away for a few days and there are tons of new pages!! Don't have time to read them all now before heading of to work, but just popping in to say we're getting so close - so excited :cool1: We leave in three weeks, but I'm thinking two in my head, as I know work will be crazy that last week getting everything done and covered for my time off.

Picked up some spray fans at Kmart last night, along with travel sized toiletries. Just need to pull out the suitcases and start organizing :yay:

The kids would probably enjoy Biergarten better. But personally I would rather Via Napoli.

Hope you have a great trip!

10 days to go!!! Can't wait. DW has decided that we will not be checking back, we have fit everything into 2 carry ons. So the surprise of us staying at CR should be easier to keep b/c no ME tags on the bags. She still thinks we're staying at POR.

No insurance so we will be there in the rain/storms. Fun fun fun.

Our family went to Disney when a hurricane was expected. We had one full day in the parks and got hit with a hurricane that came directly over Orlando. Had to stay in our room most of the day that was in The Wilderness Lodge. When we were allowed out and able to go to the lobby the was a huge mound of toys unopened and Disney characters everywhere to greet the kids. Makeshift bar a food carts were set up for us. It was without a doubt one of the best Disney experiences we ever had. The next day when we went to the parks it was like nothing had happened. So I say enjoy whatever weather happens to be in Disney when you are there. You just never know what goods things are going to happen. We call it the magic of Disney.

Congrats on babies and puppies and health and single digit dances! :cool1:

We did some supply shopping yesterday and a little more planning with our travel companion. We moved our Pirate's League appointment to our second MK day to accommodate my wife and our friend also getting makeovers while we are there. Not sure if my wife is completely thrilled about moving it to our last day but it's done for the moment.

We picked up a calligraphy marker to do a test with on a backpack to see how well it writes on them. Hoping to do the autographed backpack thing that we heard about here. :)

We also picked up Frogg Toggs and Brita bottles from Bed Bath and Beyond. We had a 20% off coupon for our entire purchase so we saved a bunch there. Essentially got one of the Frogg Toggs for free. Only picked up 2 Brita bottles. We figure we can share those pretty easily. Probably going to cut one of the Frogg Toggs in half so the kids can share those as well. Might test them out on a walk this afternoon.

Debating on making t-shirts or just going with what we have. Still need to hit the dollar store for some glow things. Question, we have some Christmas themed Minnie and Mickey handheld electric snowglobe blower things (kids push a button and the fan blows the snow inside a Mickey head) that we got from Walgreens last year. Think it would be ok to bring them back again even though it's not Christmas time? :confused3

Trying to make a tentative schedule of park days. One thing I REALLY want to do this year is rope drop at MK. Does anyone know if they do this at the EMH early opening or the public opening when they have morning EMH?

I have heard they do it before they open for EMH.

Hi, my name is Lexi. Hope I can join you all! My daughter (9) and I will be staying at the All-Star Music Resort from 8/8 to 8/15. :wave2:

Wow. I just found this thread and it is crazy long! We will be at SSR from 8/11 to 8/15 with DW, DS(11) and DS (9). We meeting my mom and my neice who is 13 and has never been to DisneyWorld. It should be an amazing trip for her and us!

Thanks for the warm welcome Loreli!! Looks like I have alot to read...

Do any of you take a backpack or bag to the parks? ;)

We take a nylon drawstring bag to the parks with our park essentials and strap it to the back of the stroller. When we park the stroller we usually put the bag in the seat.

We may not need that this year though since we're bringing backpacks for the girls to get autographs on.

My girls will carry their own cinch sacs with their water bottle and autograph books in them, I will carry my camera pack most days and dh may or may not carry anything

I carry a Baggalini cross-body. This time I will also put a cinch-sack bag on the back of the stroller to hold towels and extra outfits.

I got Mickey mail today!

Also got the pins for my kids to trade. There are some good ones in there I know they will want to keep. The lanyards should arrive later this week.
