I saw it on FB, but still feel the need to celebrate here! My youngest loves the Tiki Room and I know it's a prime break from the heat spot for us! Can't wait!

Yes I agree it makes it harder but I can start gathering the misc. stuff now like the glow sticks, misting fan, water bottles and toiletries now. My girls are also going on a week long camping trip with their nana in two weeks so I can't pack much before they get home but I can make the lists lol.

29 days... Excited sooooo excited! It's been 2 years for us and I'm desperately needing this getaway!

I have a bin with Disney items in it, but I really feel like I should go through that and, like you said, start accumulating any little things I need like toiletries, wet ones (necessary for a toddler), etc and see what's missing.

What I should do more than anything is make a to-do list. I made some cute shirts for our December trip and I need to make myself a maternity sized one I'm pretty sure so I need to dig the supplies out in the garage, or see if I can find them or need new ones. Needless to say, I'm slacking on getting things ready for this trip!

How fun to be back after two years! We hadn't been since '09 on our Dec trip and it was so amazing! I hope we still have the magic going this soon!

I've mentally planned out the kids outfits and made mental check lists of what we need, but I'm really dragging my feet on actually doing anything and I have no idea why! I have gathered ponchos, glow necklaces, and their "souvenirs". Our luggage is sitting in the corner begging to be packed!

If only we could have Muppet Vision 3D and Jungle Cruise. My dad is pretty bummed about the loss of those two during our trip. As long as Country Bear Jamboree doesn't break down while we're there, though, we should be good - believe it or not, that's his favourite attraction.

That was my Grandpa's favorite too. I only saw it with him once when I was 11, but I visit every trip and think of him .

I'm not pregnant, leaving for London in less than 48 hours and have not packed or even laid out a thing, have no pounds, need to print out documents, do about a million things, and they are having a heat wave so my mental preparedness of rainy and 60's is out the window and I need to prepare for 80 and sunny! I'd say you are in great shape!

The only thing I've done is check the royal baby watch thread and cross my fingers in hopes Kate stays pregnant for a few days longer till I get there hahaha. Yes I know it's a heat wave and she's 9 months pregnant, but I'm sure she's has A/C

(Although I won't tell you about the time I left for the New Years Hogmany in Edinburgh and left my coat in my brothers car...maybe it's not just the pregnancy!) You can always get pounds when you get there! I have 20 quid in a safe place a friend sent me for a wedding gift somewhere I was saving for our next trip! (Haven't left the country since I got married...)

Um, there is a royal baby watch thread? How have a I not seen this????? I am totally obsessed with the royal family. When Will & Kate got married, I had a viewing party! If she has the baby when your'e there you'll have to update us, meaning me! I love London! Enjoy every minute!

Me too. We were lucky enough to live in England for almost 5 yrs while my ex was in the military and got to visit London several times. I love the Royal family too!


I placed an order online with Disney store for a few t-shirts while they were on sale. Need to order Photo pass+ and finalize my garden grocer order. Luckily we are in the Allstar Music family suites and it looks like they are not affected. 29 days and counting!

Do you think Akershus is overkill on the princesses if we're already doing CRT? Has anyone ever seen (especially recently) different princesses at Akershus? We saw the same ones at both last year...

ETA: went ahead an canceled our 9:30am breakfast at Akershus on 8/7...figured we'd try to get to Epcot early and be done by lunch since we would've already had a couple hours in the evening after our early Le Cellier dinner and before we head to HS for EMH, as well as Epcot's evening EMH the following night. I'll add that evening to letting the kids decide what and where...

In other news...debating on telling them where we're going and when this weekend...kinda would like some input on the ADRs ahead of time, but it's not necessary...

Actually you can post little Smilie faces from your phone app! You just have to know the code. You type the :code: like is actually : lmao : with out the spaces. When on on your computer and posting click on the more link at the bottom of the smilies box. You will get a pop-up window with lottsa emoticons which have the codes listed. I have : welcome : and : lmao : memorized for posting on my phone. DD10 says I don't use the smilie faces enough. Have fun with it!

If they would push back the Spaceship Earth refurbishment just a couple more days, that would be great, also!

Last night I was reading easywdw Josh's review of World Showcase. He found some neat things that I did not know existed, including a wine bar in the back of the Germany pavilion. DH wants to get away for a F&W Festival trip for just the two of us. He was thinking our 20th anniversary, but by then his parents will be in their 70's, and I can't be certain that they will still want to travel to take care of our kids (teenagers by then). I'm trying to convince him to go away for a long weekend for our 15th anniversary (next year!). He said he can't commit yet, but I've got him thinking about it! He wants to stay at an Epcot resort, and I've read the most economical way to do that is to rent DVC points, but that should be done 11 months out for those resorts. Don't know if I can get him to commit to that by then, either.
