We are driving to EWR and then parking there. I have to look into a parking lot yet. Thanks for reminding me with this topic. I am taking the kids to the craft store today to get stickers to make and decorate our tip envelopes for mousekeeping. I am very excited!

I would LOVE to work for Disney!! If I could choose, I think I'd like to work at a resort - maybe in Concierge, helping other people plan their vacations

I read on anouther thread that a DISer is going in late Aug like me (25-31) and got to pick there bands so I went online to the website logged in and it asked me to customize my band and also about FP+ but I'll check that later once DS has left.

Ok I was able to click on FP+ and it looked like it was allowing me to choose a park for each day and make plans for me and my husband but it says DS is not eligible for plans? I also didn't see anything about customizing a band and I also don't know if I should link my parents reservation to my account? Will have to play around with it when I don't have two kids in my face lol.

It gives me the option to link a band to all my reservations but doesn't say I'll be getting one or color options. Just a lot of "learn more" links. At this point, I'm still very wary of the site and am scared to start messing with it yet.

Ok so it says on the website I have until July 25th to change my customizations if I want to.

Also from the website.
" your magic bands will serve as your magical express "tickets" and disney resort hotel room "keys".

Funny cause I already got my magical express stuff in the mail.

So DS is now on the bus so I will get back to you all about the FP+ stuff soon.

I am going to post as I do my choices for FP+

Plz note I am a solo traveler so my choices reflect this.

So to start: I am doing AK first

You click what day you want to pick Fastpass. Then have to hit next. I was expecting it to go forward by itself but it doesn't. Then it has you pick a park. They offer Fastpicks which creates the best possible experience for you "so it claims". But I picked for myself. You get to pick 3 choices from a set list. You can sort it by name, type, land, and height.

Dinosaur - my choice
Everest
Lion king show
Nemo show - my choice
Tough to be a bug
Kali river rapids
Character meets a adventure post- closed for refurb so not a choice but is listed
Primeval whirl
Kilimanjaro safari - my choice

When you select them it gives you a disciption of that attraction.

In the upper right it shows your picks and you can prioritize them. It says move the experience most important to you to the top of the list.

All done this then hit next. Oh may sure you are the correct day it put me on the wrong date and had to start all over again.

Guessing they are not offering Nemo show on my correct day cause it does not appear now as a choice. So I will see if you can get two FP for one attraction since there isn't anything else for me I want.

I agree. I started thinking- I don't want to spend vacation time resolving possible tech issues......I should be using LESS tech over vacation!

That is a great price. I think the long term lot is $18 a day now. Where is this lot and then is there a shuttle or are you near the air train?

It's a great service, they let you bid for a price. They have a shuttle and there is no delay. And when you return they pick you up within minutes of you calling, and have your car ready for you when you get back. I highly recommend them.

As for the magic bands -- I customized ours, but it only let me do it for the last 2 days of our stay. I have two reservations, package at POR, room only at CR. It's only letting me do it for room only, and I can't figure out how to fix it! I guess I'll try to call, but I have a feeling that will be an exercise in frustration.

Thanks for sharing! Are you doing Room Only or DVC? AP holder? Did you buy tickets through Disney or through a third party that you linked? Trying to see if there is any sort of pattern with who is getting picked.

Ok now that I have selected my attraction you get different options to choose from.
Remember my choices are dinosuar and safari.

Option A for my choices
Dino 9-10am
Everest 10:35-11:35a -- they added this since I only made 2 choices out of 3
Safari 12:25-1:25pm

Option B
Safari 11:00-12:00pm
Everest 12:50-1:50pm
Dino 2:20-3:20pm

Option C
Safari 12:35-1:35pm
Everest 2:25-3:25pm
Dino 3:55-4:55pm

Option D
Dino 10:25-11:25am
Everest 1:25-2:25pm
Safari 3:55-4:55pm

I have decided on option A since it is only me and will be in and out of the park quickly.

I wish they didn't add Everest as I am not going to ride this(not for me) and I feel like I am takin it from someone who would rather have it.

Hmm...room only seems to be a common thread. I've seen three of those that are confirmed as room only now that have been selected.

Thanks again for sharing. Interesting that they selected a headliner ride when you didn't finish your selections. Could be random, could be by design. Can you modify times for the individual selections or do you have to pick a time grouping?
