QOTD: What Disney food item are you most looking forward to?
Hmmm... Creme Brulee as a snack credit, Dole Whip as a snack credit, oh and Mickey waffles

Just a reminder for anyone who will be at POR during the week of 8/18 -- son and I will be at the pool most afternoons! He is 11, but gets along well with kids of all ages. Last year we worked it out with another mom and son, and the kids had a blast while us moms enjoyed some lovely adult beverages. So if you will be there and your child would like a pool friend, we'll be there too.![]()

DuckTales! That would be a Long Lost Friend they could bring back. Huey, Dewey and Louie and Scrooge McDuck!
DD1 used to watch "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland" over and over and over again. My wife and I could probably still recite it from memory.
I learned long ago to make copies of my DVD's and use those for the kids. We've also moved into the world of digital and most of the movies the kids have available on iPads for road trips.
We completely skipped Animation Hall last trip with Ralph and Penelope because the kids hadn't seen Wreck-it Ralph yet. Of course they saw it right when they got home and wanted to know why they didn't see them at DHS. Hopefully they are still there in August.
We're at 46 days today. I found the cheat sheets on easywdw.com yesterday and was going over some of those with my wife. Going to dig a little deeper into them here in the next couple of weeks. Looks like some good strategies for things. Of course some of that could be different depending on how FP+ works and if it's rolled out or testing by the time we go.
Ok, I'll admit that I'm a little bored.

Meal item I think it would be the Pork Shank at Gaston's Tavern. Dessert wise I think I'm wanting to try the Sand Pail or the Kitchen Sink.
Of course the best thing about Disney food is that it contains zero calories!![]()
We are looking forward to trying Tonga Toast for the first time. We are planning on swinging by Captain Cook's before MK one morning to try it out!QOTD: What Disney food item are you most looking forward to?

I want to meet you specifically because you would wear something like that!!! I love it and we'd be fast friends. I live to mortify my teenager
Too bad it's before my dates but have a blast!!![]()
How do evening EMH work? How can they tell between resort guests and off property evening stragglers (lol)? Not that we will make it to any evening EMH hours but was just wondering. How about morning hours?

Ugh, this pregnancy food is so unappealing, which is no fun when at Disney! Probably a Dole Whip, but I also really want to try the Nutella Waffle Sandwich from Sleepy Hollow!
Oh and I'm most excited to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table, Via Napoli, Biergarten and breakfast at O'hana! I am excited to try so many new places!
I was determined to eat at Kona Cafe this trip to try it, and then I discovered it's also at Capt Cooks. We are on a QS dining plan this trip, so it works out perfectly! It's a tradition for my family to eat at the Kona Café the last morning of each trip just so I can eat Tonga Toast! YUM
This would be awful if it is true! Another indoor attraction down during the August heat???I just read on the DIS that the Enchanted Tiki Room would be closed from 7/31-8/28. I can't find it listed as being closed on any other site (even Touring Plans). I find it surprising considering that Jungle Cruise will also be closed in Adventureland for many days during the same time period. Not my favorite attraction, but one that I love just because it's an original Walt (at least the one in DL) and one I would be sad to miss it.
Anyone know if it's true or not?
Clifton Hill was busy on Sunday, but surprisingly still really manageable. We waited maybe 5 minutes to board the Skywheel, which we thought was awesome. After spin on the Skywheel, we mini golfed at Dinosaur Adventure Golf, toured Movieland Wax Museum, rode Ghostblasters and played some games at the midway, ate some Dippin Dots and a Beavertail (my first!!), went to the Hershey Store and the Coke Store, then walked down through the gardens and took our traditional photos by the Falls. We left the lodge after lunch and were back in time for dinner.
I hope you got some nice weather for your Canada Day relaxation plans! It was pretty dreary here. We had thought about hitting up the fireworks but we were so pooped after travelling home, we decided to take a pass and hit the sack.
