Hi all! Just wanted to throw our dates out there.

First timers here traveling August 11th-17th @ Art of Animation.

We will be 4 adults and 3 kids total. Can't wait - I'm (Dad) the most excited out of everyone!

Welcome!! We will be arriving at AoA as you are leaving. Maybe we'll cross paths in the lobby!!

QOTD- Hope you don't mind but I'm curious!

What Disney movies are your kids into right now? I've been incorporating as many movies/DVD's as we can afford and the kids will allow.

My dd (4) is into Jake and the Neverland Pirate and Doc McStuffins right now. She went through a phase around Christmas that was all Brave. At Valentine's Day it was Lady and the Tramp. Before this it was Despicable Me, which isn't Disney....She will also watch Mulan any time it is on.

What is silly symphonies?

Like msyjoa said, they're a series of short films produced by Disney mainly in the 30s. Donald Duck made his debut in a Silly Symphony cartoon. They're all focused around the interaction between music and animation. They really are wonderful; quite a few are on YouTube if you ever get the chance. My favourites are Flowers and Trees, the Skeleton Dance, the Ugly Duckling, the Three Little Pigs, and the Old Mill.

We came home from DCL last year and watch all the classic cartoons on you tube. The kids LOVED that classic cartoons channel in the cabin. Do they run that channel in the WDW resorts too?

We also had a LILO and Stitch phase. And DD is naming all the princesses but won't sit through the movies (her dinner plates are princess themed "Rella, Belle and Rora " are pointed out on repeat.

Yes!! Sounds like my DD! We have 3 princess toddler dolls - Belle, White (Snow White), and Rella (Cinderella). Just got Baby Punzel (Rapunzel). And she has silverware with princesses on them (as well as a plate and bibs).

Both of my kids love Jake and the Neverland Pirates. DD2 says "yo, yo pirates!!" whenever it's on and loved the you tube videos of the CBR pirate ship water play area. Hence the reason why it is the resort of choice this trip... :-)

We have a Jake love fest as well in my house!

My DD absolutely loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake, but every time they ask something like "Wanna come inside my clubhouse?" or "Will you join my pirate crew?" she adamantly says No. :confused3 But she asks to watch them again and again! I don't understand this child....

I joined the Disney Movie Club when DD was first born and have been adding to our DVD collection ever since. We're big princess fans - we watched Princess and the Frog today - and we love Cars, we're even staying in a Cars suite at AoA! I try to keep her balanced between new movies and movies from my childhood. Neither of us have ever seen Sleeping Beauty though, and I need to remedy that ASAP! :happytv:

There is always a disney movie on in the car. Right now my DS 5 is into Peter Pan and Toy story 3. My DD 3 loves anything pricesses but right now it is all about Tangled. They both love LILO and stitch so I really cannot wait for our breakfast at ohana!

What Disney movies are your kids into right now?

My kids are older (9 and 16) so we don't watch the newer Disney Junior stuff. I think we stopped back in the Handy Manny days.
What my kids consider classic movies are things like The Little Mermaid, or Lion King or Mulan.
We are also huge fans of anything Disney/Pixar. We just went to see the New Monsters Inc on Thursday night and Cars was the first movie ds ever saw (at the drive-in!).

We've watched the majority of the older Disney classics like Peter Pan or Alice In Wonderland. There's a few we haven't seen though. I don't know that they have ever seen some things like Mary Poppins or 101 Dalmatians. I guess we can work on some of those for dinner and movie nights this summer:thumbsup2

My youngest son LOVES Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan. My older two boys will watch any Disney movie. We've been watching as many as possible lately, they even humored me and sat through Sleeping Beauty one night (I know they were dying to get back to their iPads and Xboxes though! LOL)

I'm not sure who mentioned Rescue Rangers- but that is awesome! We have Darkwing Duck, Gummy Bears, and Duck Tales. I am five in my head so I still love to watch those cartoons too.

We've been watching Silly Symphonies on Netflix also!!! :thumbsup2

I have to call Disney tomorrow to remove the tickets from our package and then I am buying our ANNUAL PASSES!! I am a little excited.:cool1:

My kids are also a bit older DS12 DD9 (she'll tell you 10 because her birthday is in a couple of weeks, but I'm having issues with my baby being 10) Anyway, we went to see Monster's University, and they both liked it. Lion King (all 3) are big hits, Enchanted, tangled, Pirates of the Carribbean. My kids aren't so much in the mode of having to watch the same movie 5 times in a row as they were when they were younger. Now it's more of what haven't we watched in awhile.

I am looking forward to the days where I don't have to watch the jungle book 3 times by lunch!

My girls are a bit older too, but they have their favorites. Dd 12's fav right now is Hercules, Mulan & despicable Me (can't wait for universal this trip lol) Dd9's fav is the pirates of the caribbean movies as well as the Harry Potter series (i know not disney but we're going to see hogwarts for the first time this year!)

DD7 really likes Rescue Rangers, Snow Buddies and all those Buddy movies. She likes Cinderella but they lost the disk.
DD9 is really into DreamWorks lately, but she admits to liking the Tinkerbell movies.
