ª"˜˜ª¤.¸Team August 2013 Thread! (Part 2)¸.¤ª˜˜"ª&#9733

We'll be at Epcot the 19th too!:wave2: We have a 8:10 CRT breakfast ressie, which I don't know if we'll keep or not. Either way I want to at least hit rope drop at MK and then hop over to Epcot. We have a 7:45 at Coral Reef. We really want to at least experience it for ourselves, despite all the doom and gloom!

I think trying coral reef is a great idea. We ate there in 2011 and it was fabulous.

So we are officially 49 days away from our trip and tomorrow we can ALL say that we are going to Disney NEXT MONTH so my mom, brother and I decided to celebrate by watching Wall-E! :goodvibes

I'm getting excited now! :woohoo:

Since I'm a split member of Team July & Team August (although My loyalties lie squarely with you guys here) I love that I can say we are going to Disney THIS Month!!!! :)

Ok, so far it looks like the four of us will be in Epcot on the 19th!! We don't have any ADRs that day (we are going to eat around the world). What is a good time frame for everyone?

We will be a Via Napoli at either 12:45 or 5:45 (haven't decided which to keep). Late afternoon some time might be good? We're pretty flexible.:)

The Disney Junior show already has added Sophia and Doc McStuffins. I thought Sophia was replacing Handy Manny for the meet and greets outside the Disney Junior show and at Hollywood and Vine character meals as well?

I hope so. We have ADR's for Hollywood & Vine and my kids would be more excited about Sophia and/or Do. Than Handy Manny since this programs are on Dis Junior practically every time we turn it on!

Hi all! Just wanted to throw our dates out there.

First timers here traveling August 11th-17th @ Art of Animation.

We will be 4 adults and 3 kids total. Can't wait - I'm (Dad) the most excited out of everyone!

We are having our first trip as a family with kids too! Can't wait!!!

QOTD- Hope you don't mind but I'm curious!

What Disney movies are your kids into right now? I've been incorporating as many movies/DVD's as we can afford and the kids will allow. Their favorites change frequently but right now they LOVE

DS 4 Rescue Rangers (flashback anyone?? I couldn't believe when they had this DVD at Target)

DD 2 an OLD Disney sing along called Pongo and Perdita.......I love Disney, but this one is so cheesy and she is obsessed!

Both are avid Cars and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse superfans as well LOL

I've asked this on the AoA board but got no answer (I may have also asked it on here) so I thought I'd give it another go!

Does anyone know if the family suites have metal doors that will hold magnets?? We've decorated our door at other values and we were hoping to do the same. TIA

We have a 5:10 ADR at Cape May. Would mid-afternoon (around 3pm) work for everyone? I'm thinking somewhere in World Showcase, but whatever works for everyone else :)

I think that time frame is great. :)

I just hope our flight leaves on time.
We have an 8:15am flight so we'll have to get up super early since we have an hour commute to the airport.

My DD has watched Monsters Inc at least 3 times a week for the past two months. I can pretty much quote it word for word.

Other movies I can sneak in so far are The Little Mermaid, Cars 1 and 2, Mater Tales, Cinderella, Tangled, The Tigger Movie, Wreck It Ralph, and Lilo and Stitch. We've been doing a movie night once a week to get her acquainted with other characters as well.

I'm getting very excited about our upcoming trip. We are there Aug 17th-23rd at the Wilderness Lodge.

I'd love to meet up with all of you at Epcot on the19th or 20th, but we'll be leaving after lunch for a break at the resort the 19th, and won't head back out until 6-ish on the 20th. The hours between lunch and dinner are the dead zone -- we need a break or we'll ruin each others night!

DS6 LOVES Lilo and Stitch! DD2 likes most anything for a few minutes. :-) Particularly any of the Buddies movies (Snow Buddies and Space Buddies). She has a thing for puppies! :-)

My DD too! How can I forget our standard car movie- Snow Buddies! Need to get Space Buddies for the drive to Dis!

We also had a LILO and Stitch phase. And DD is naming all the princesses but won't sit through the movies (her dinner plates are princess themed "Rella, Belle and Rora " are pointed out on repeat.

I'm still the kid in my family, despite being nearly 21. Right now I'm into Peter Pan. It was always my favourite as a little kid. I would spend hours running around the park or my backyard pretending to be Peter. I even had a little hat like his. A few days ago I found my precious stuffed dog named Peter that I got when I was two, and it brought back all those memories.

I've also been watching a lot of Silly Symphonies lately. They're just so good.

You all bring back so many great memories for me of going to the World when my kiddos were little. My all time fav pic from any of our trips is my daughter when she was 4 meeting her favorite princess Ariel for the first time... such a look of joy on her face.

I'm currently looking forward to a trip without autograph books or meet and greets because my babies are 15. They still love disney with though so I'm grateful for that.

They are super old shorts. Flowers and Trees, Wynken, Blynken, and Nod, and the one with the mermaids were my favorites! I also loved the "scary" skeleton dance one.

When I was little, I would watch a VHS tape of Silly Symphonies at my Memaw's over and over again. She gave me the VHS when I graduated, it is so worn out!! And the vhs was one she had recorded off the tv, not a purchased one. I am now going to go hunt for these on youtube to show my dd!!
