Just got an envelope from UPS saying we're invited to try MyMagic+! In all honesty I didn't really care about it but it could be kind of interesting to try...just have to decide what to do!

That's awesome! We save coins, too, but usually cash it out at $70 or less. How long did it take to save that much??

We are celebrating my 30th Birthday and decided to try to book something special. I have Askershus reserved for a princess meal, but would much rather prefer CRT. I'm stalking the dining website and the cancellation board like crazy. Are people going to cancel CRT this close or am I wasting my time!? We check in in 14 days!

How far in advance do you usually start packing? I'm trying to resist the urge to start packing now, haha. I made the list of stuff I need to pack about two weeks ago, though.

We're 14 days out from CBR check in but start our road trip in 12 days! I've been wanting to pack for weeks now, but have somehow begun a disorganized mess the past few days and feel like we will never be ready to leave! My list keeps getting longer!

No, you aren't wasting your time. Guests will continue to cancel up to 24 hours before their scheduled ADR (to avoid the cancellation fee). So keep checking!

We love change, too! Collecting change was one of the best pieces of advice we've heard from Suze Orman. She teaches to use a whole dollar bill when purchasing something, instead of scrambling for change. Over time, collect the change, and it will be like new-found money. So we periodically cash in our change at Coinstar for no-fee gift cards from places like Amazon or Lowes. It helps us pick up necessary items in months when money is tight or we don't have room in the budget for something. It definitely helps bridge the gap from one month to the next!

If I get a res, I'm going to book for our entire party for now.... But if it only ends up it's my family is going to go will I get refunded if the whole party does not show up since it's a prepay? Even if I change the res from 7 to 4 people the day before will I get that credit or do I have to cancel the res completely?

If members of your party are a no-show, I believe you will be charged for their portion. I think you would need to cancel for them prior to the 24 hour deadline. I assume they would credit back the appropriate amount, but someone else may have more personal experience with cancelling a CRT reservation. Make sure you consult the policy that is displayed when you make a reservation (for example, to verify it is a 24-hour cancellation policy and not a 48-hour or some other stipulation).

For my trip last December, I LOVED it! We had ADRs at Tusker House, CRT, and 1900 Park Fare, plus we got all of the ride photos.

This trip we are only going to MK and Epcot, and my only ADRs are at BOG and 1900 Park Fare. I'm thinking it's probably not worth it for us this time, though I have second- and third-guessed myself. Our pic at 1900 wasn't so great last time, and since the Beast is not guaranteed to be at BOG, we may not even get a picture there. I may miss the ride photos, but I suppose I could always add them on. I think the only 2 we would do is Splash and Buzz.

Hi all,


We will be at CR 8/6-8/13. It will be our FIRST(!) trip to WDW, though we've been to DL dozens of times over years and years. We were selected to test the new MagicBands, so we're extra excited about that! We've made all of our dining reservations, and know when we're going where, so all that's left is to show up and enjoy the magic! My apologies for my lengthy post... Still learning the DIS abbreviations
