Wonder getting REPO'ed to Vancouver!: May 20th, 2013 Official Thread!

That is a privacy issue. Some people are not feeling comfortable having those details on a public forum or even available to people who are not involved in the Fish Extender Exchange. I respect this. After the cut off, I will PM the link to a Google Spreadsheet to those people participating and that has all the information on it.

Could you send PM's to everyone involved at this point? That would help those that want to do something personalized.

Has there been anymore discussion as to where to meet the night before the cruise out of Long Beach.:hourglassI have been away for a while and was wondering.:laundy:

Since you asked... :) We want to go to Muir Woods one of the days we are in SF. We are trying to decided between doing a disney tour (cons would be cost and not enough time there and we'd like to stop at GGB for photos), renting a car, or using a local tour operation on our own. There are 7 of us (4 adults, a teen, a tween, and a preschooler). I have found 2 different local tour operations that seem to have semi-customizable trips to Muir Woods. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions on this. Thanks.

Glad you're bringing more kids too. :)

I'm sorry - I am not sure if I ever answered this. I haven't used any tours for hte Muir Woods, but I would be inclined to use a tour to make the most of your time. It is easy to get turned around driving around in SF. I'd also suggest looking at visiting Golden Gate Park and the Botanical Gardens if you like the outdoor/nature tours.

Anyone staying near Disneyland Resort before the cruise? We are looking for transportation from resort to port. Any suggestion?

I know nothing about this company, but I get these email offers and thought I'd share. Seems like a good deal, $375 for 8-person limo for 6 hr napa trip (10am-4pm). It is on livingsocial site. I'd suggest calling the company first to make sure they are available when we are in SF.

Wine country: It's all fun and grapes until someone has to drive. Caspian Limousine Service -- one of the most established limo services in the Bay Area -- encourages you to kick back and relax, knowing an experienced driver is behind the wheel:

• $375 ($750 value) for a six-hour limousine tour for eight
• Includes two bottles of champagne
• Napa/Sonoma tour departs SF at 10 a.m. and returns by 4 p.m.

A Tour Worth Toasting
This tour allows you to map out your route of choice or let Caspian suggest a few wineries. Whether you're after a mellow meander through Sonoma County or you're checking off the big names in Napa Valley, you and your gang will ride in style, nestled in a late-model Lincoln stretch limo. A champagne toast in San Francisco, a few stops on Highway 29, lunch in St. Helena, and a return-trip down the Sonoma Highway? It's hard to imagine a more perfect day.

Welcome on board. Nice to have another family from my neck of the woods. We live in Manchester and are also doing the back to back.

Our Fish Extender exchange is still open. If you are interested, you can sign up here:

Everybody who has signed up for this should now have received a PM or message on Facebook. I have tidied up my spreadsheet enough that it is fit for human consumption. Whenever I update it from here on, I will post a quick note that I have done so.

Thanks Corinna! Appreciate you taking the time.

Anyone looked into whale watching in Victoria? We are thinking of going on a tour, but I think we can find a less expensive structure than Disney. They charge a lot of children and the places I see online are a lot less, although not sure if anyone has a specific recommendation?

We just took a huge step closer to this. We managed to book our flights yesterday. We fly to Los Angeles via Atlanta on May 16th and back from Seattle via Amsterdam on June 6th. Since this afternoon, we are also officially PIF. I was surprised that I still got Palo Brunch and dinner.

It's a good feeling isn't it :thumbsup2 I booked our flights last week. I think that there are more opportunities for Palo brunch since they cancelled the High Teas. That allowed them to add later times for brunch than they had before. I really liked the tea and miss it, but it is a lot easier to get a brunch now. I just wish you could book more than one! ;)

I miss the tea, too. I was so upset that I did not manage to get one for our Hawaii cruise as I knew it would be discontinued shortly afterwards. As we are doing the back to back cruise, we have two Brunches and two Palo dinners to look forward to.

We did the B2B in 2011, may I make a suggestions. When we got to Vancouver we left the ship for the day. We took a taxi over to Stanley Park and enjoyed a horse drawn carriage ride through the park and walked through the gardens. It was a beautiful day and very relaxing. DCL gave us a letter to present when we returned to the ship and we were escorted immediately through the crowd and back on the ship. Very nice. Our friends decided to stay on the ship and were crammed into the Cove for several hours, unable to wander around on the ship. They were most distressed when we got back and we had a wonderful day. We also requested the same cabin so we did not have to pack and have our stuff moved. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We are having two days to play with in Vancouver as our train does not leave until dinner time the day we get back from the Alaska Cruise. We are definitely getting off the ship on the change over day. I have found out that they have a Hop On Hop Off Trolley tour that starts right at Canada Place. Better still, if you book online, you get a second day free and that can be used any time in a two week period. So we will probably just do the loop between cruises and aim to be back on the ship for lunch and then use the second day to explore a bit more.
