All joking aside, I can't see any reason or indication that they would keep the studios portion of the name.
there will be a massive overhaul of the park coming also confirmed by Iger today.
The quote from Iger said significant work would be coming to this parkAdding additional capacity to a single existing ride and removing the Sorcerer Hat = massive overhaul?
I see a future for someone who wants a career in political spin!

Frankly, Iger often reminds me of certain people I want to high school with, and not in a positive way.
They like him developed reputations for continually making all sorts of assured, grand pronouncements about future this and future that. And most of what they said never happened, happened much later than they said it would, or evolved very differently than described.
Yes, Iger is just like them, just in a bigger and more visible way. He regularly talks about grand plans. And two days later in a boardroom in Anaheim he looks at financials and changes his mind. Consequently, the overwhelming majority of what mentions either never happens, happens much, much later than originally planned or ends up being a highly diluted version of what he originally described.
Which means the smart money learned long ago (for me, sometime in my sophomore year of high school) to take anything from people like him with a big, big BIG grain of salt.
I'm not saying it will happen or won't I was just stating what he said in terms of that quote. I completely agree about Iger. Iger has been saying the same vague things since they bought Star Wars.Frankly, Iger often reminds me of certain people I want to high school with, and not in a positive way.

We were told by a castmember on Monday that the name was changing. He said it would probably be something with ADVENTURE in it as they wanted to move DHS to resemble California Adventure park. Hollywood Adventure was what he thought but he did throw out a few more that he had heard.
Hollywood adventure has been the most rumored name.I don't really care what they choose for the rename (though I'm chuckling quietly at my desk at some of the great suggestions here), but I really hope this is true:
Do you know where this leak could be found? Ive never seen it myself. One of the concept art paintings for Star Wars Land that was released or leaked a year or two ago showed a large coaster around the current location of Indiana Jones stunt show. It looked similar to Rip Ride Rockit in shape and height and I must say, my heart quickened when I saw it.
The great thing about RRR at Universal is it's quite big, fast and scary, but the G forces and general ride characteristics are such that it can be ridden by a lot more people than most other big coasters. Coasters like Hulk, Manta, Dragon Challenge etc. that seem to make give everyone over age 40 either nausea, headaches, a sore neck or all three.
Everest also fits the category, big and exciting but not just for 15 - 40 year olds.
In other words ... just 'cause the SW movies are HEAVILY CG-laden, it doesn't mean you have to fill your theme-park "land" with digital CG effects. There's a lot to be said for real movement, real wind in your hair and real water in your sandals.

I'm hoping the reason for the change is true. I love California Adventure and would be really excited if some of the lands and concepts from that park were carried over.Hollywood adventure has been the most rumored name.
They are two different parks having the same stuff on both coasts would prevent people from traveling to both coasts.I'm hoping the reason for the change is true. I love California Adventure and would be really excited if some of the lands and concepts from that park were carried over.
I wouldn't expect them to build the same park, but I can easily imagine them taking pieces of CA and putting them in DHS (Cars Land, for example). I can think of lots of instances where a popular attraction in California was added to Florida and vice versa and it doesn't seem to have hurt attendance. They are two different parks having the same stuff on both coasts would prevent people from traveling to both coasts.
Because the park is not about Florida it's about Hollywood. And no one knows exactly when anything is going to start. Is there a general timeline for a name change?
Why not Florida Adventure to match California Adventure?
I could see a cars ride but I doubt we get the entire cars land in Florida. I think Star Wars will be the main focus when it gets built twenty years from now.I wouldn't expect them to build the same park, but I can easily imagine them taking pieces of CA and putting them in DHS (Cars Land, for example).
