I hope to get a little shopping in... good luck to you on the weather.
Looks like a fun tour! Of course, any tour can be greatly enhanced by tequila!

Well not that soon...
I'm a day ahead and I'm just writing about it now.
I have one of those this weekend also....
Sundresses.....
I don't shop a lot at Kohl's besides tank tops but Joshua needs socks and I saw dresses in their ad plus the 30% off is enticing. We've got a Dress Barn close by but I've never been in, good idea. I'll let you know what I find.
I did read those after you told me about them.... I did read this one also.. They are good books.. Thanks again for the books... Always look for something to read, and net to tie into a vacation, or tequila tasting!
I hate when we don't get enough time to read and enjoy what we are seeing. I have been know to lag behind the group taking pictures and reading plaques.
David knows me so well, that he is no longer worried, he knows I will show up eventually!
Love all that artwork! They look beautiful!
Happy shopping. I love Dress Barn too.
Great update Alison. You drink/taste the tequila straight? I have never developed a taste for any sort of straight tequila, scotch, vodka, any of it. Michael enjoys it though. I'd be all about shots though. Looks like you had a really great day. Nice of the bartender to pad your margaritas. Did you nap after? How was lunch? It looks good. What's in the bottle with the picture of the saint?
Oh and I like the real lived in stateroom photo.
Looks like a fun tour! Of course, any tour can be greatly enhanced by tequila!

For some reason this made me laugh, it is so true.
Even everyday life can be improved, with a shot or three of your favorite adult beverage!
getting us all excited!
Great update. How sad you were whisked by all those beautiful things in the museum.
For the price I hope those iguana pictures are going to be displayed!
Lunch looks delicious. The whole excursion sounded very nice. Was the reserve tequila anything special? How was the tamarind margarita?
Your review of the tour was great but now I'm thinking that it doesn't really live up to the description and there's certainly somethings missing from what you received..
From the DCL site:
On this tour you will:
- If you ever wanted to experience a taste of Mexico's traditional tequila, Discover Mexico Park is the perfect setting for this experience. Start you tour with a short 5-minute transfer to the Discover Mexico Park. Here you will take an approximate 20-minute self-guided tour of the Museum and view an immersive video collage that takes you to different corners of this marvelous country.
[*]Admire handcrafts fashioned by native artisans in the onsite museum and trace the evolution of Mexico's ancient civilization as you tour replicas of Chichén Itzá and other pyramids and reproductions of grand monuments and cathedrals..
[*]Next you will be delighted with a sample presentation of several different white and aged tequilas of surpassing quality, including tequila crème and liquor. You will learn the history of tequila and the process of this spirit that has been made for centuries. You will return an expert on the subject!.
[*]During your Taco Buffet lunch, experience 6 completely homemade salsas and learn how to make margaritas from scratch! Included in your lunch are 3 beverages (margaritas, sodas or beer.).
[*]After your lunch, watch a live Papantla Flyers presentation in the courtyard.
[*]At the completion of your tour, take the short drive back to the pier.
Important Additional Information
so no 20 minute self guided tour, no tequila creme to try, no (included) margarita's, I didn't see 6 salsa's and 3 kinds of tacos, and no Papantla Flyers presentation?
- Lunch includes: Tinga tacos (beef), Cochinita pibil tacos (pork), Chorizo and potato tacos and 6 different salsas. Beverages include: Tequilas: anejo, reposado, blanco, cream of tequila, soda, margarita, beer and bottled water.
The DCL site also shows a very different room for the tequila tasting (with a short height, long table). Not only is my mother in a wheelchair but both my dad and I are just over 5 feet tall (well, I'm 5" and he's about 5"3) so the high tables would not work well for us either (nor do I want my mother to be separate from the two of us.....
Maybe this isn't the right tour for us
Beautiful artwork in the museum, I'm partial to the woven pieces as I love the detail.
The best excuse for having a verandah...the need to get great sunset pics!!!
Love your formal pics. Really like your red dress and Fran looks sharp! Really like the veranda shots too...makes me excited for my veranda in October!

Love love love the formal pic with Mickey.
Your sunset photos are stunning.
Was the red beans and rice odd with lobster? The desserts looks yum, even the fallen one.
So we can order an entree spilt to as an appetizer? Michael and I will do that often with a ravioli or other sharable pasta and have it as an app vs an entree.
I didn't try my sundresses on and they're too big. I need to run to Kohl's tomorrow and exchange them. I'm just too damn short.
That and temperature checks are my main reasons for wanting the verandah. That and private sail away parties! I love my verandah. I don't think I could cruise without one. I know folks love their indoor rooms with no light, but Fran needs the light, at home and on vacation.
Thanks! I really like that dress too! I think I might even have a use for it Wednesday night. I think Fran looks great too! I'm glad our red hues matched!
I can't wait to print it at Costco and frame it, we just keep having life get in the way!
I thought it was a little odd, but since I filled up on the salad and such, I only ate the lobster.
I think you can order whatever you want. As passengers we don't want to waste anything, but the servers are such pushers and enablers, they encourage you to get whatever.
I wish I had that problem with my dresses!
Great update. Love the pictures of you and Fran; and the one with Mickey.
The sunset is amazing from the verandah. Thanks for sharing. And I'm now hungry for souffle and the lobster.
I'm short so dresses, especially longer, ones are so hard to find.
Glad the servers a pushers because like you said, we don't waste, but for sure we want to try as much as we can. Sharing seems like the perfect way to do it.
The photo is so frame worthy. Not sure where you're wearing your red dress Wed. night but hope its somewhere fun!
I updated my DVC report.
Lovely update and you look good in red. Both of you together make a great couple and sharp picture, I know that one will look wonderful ion the frame.
Another lovely day and some great shots of you both on Semi-Formal Night
Looking forward to hearing about chocolate & mixology !
Great update, beautiful sunset pictures!
Tiana's dress looks too big on her...
Love the Mickey one, definitely frame worthy.
Dinner looks delicious. This is not a menu we've had yet. I see plenty of things we both would like. So sweet of your server to bring you a souffle was it good? it looked a little dark.
Oh I can't wait to hear what cruise you booked
