Lori ...glad to see you back. I enjoyed your photos!
Nancy ...congrats on the weight loss!
Sheryl ...ouch on the doctor visit!
Vickie ....how are you feeling?
Aimee ...how are the Ace and moving-at-work situation?
I agree that Kat is amazing keeping the thread and all the recipes and us organized!
Nana proud moment! TOday was "CARING" Day in school, each classroom had one child the the teacher selected to recieve this award and certificate in an asembley. Kady was the child from her class and the teacher wrote that she always looked after her classmates, making sure that no one ever got left out and that she always treated her classmates with respect and empathy. Her friend Miranda got the award in her class so they were very happy!
I agree with you about Kat! I can barely keep up with the thread and she organizes them all with an organized TABLE OF CONTENTS and LINKS!
That is great about Kady!
Signing off for the night, not feeling well, I think it's the dreaded summer cold. Have a great evening everyone.
Are you feeling better yet? I saw you were going to the doctor.
We did have our call with the agency yesterday afternoon as planned & it went really well. They finally gave us a strong idea of the baby arrival.
HE will be here the first of 2010 & will be between 5-9 months old!!!!
Korea no longer is allowing siblings BUT we are so pleased with some semi solid information we are thrilled. We do have a slight chance of twins.
Being siblings are no longer an option we will immediately put our paperwork in for a baby from China when Jack arrives. I will be to old to go through Korea again. China will most likely match us with a little girl.
Bethany~ AT least with Fed Ex you will have a tracking number
(I hope I didn't biff with the quoting here...I think I may have merged two? Sorry if I did...)
That is exciting about the adoption! If it's twins do they split them up or do they keep them together even with the no siblings rule?
Yes, I have a tracking number. I did with the Post Office too...didn't make a difference.
The USPS one is still listed as in the Bronx; the FedEx one was leaving Memphis this evening!
Just got word - It's a girl!! Joselyn Jolie - 4 lbs. 15 oz. Not bad for 6 weeks early. She is only about 10 minutes old. She is having a bit of trouble breathing and is on full oxygen. Katie is ok but struggling. So please keep them all in your prayers. I will up date as I know.
Thank you all so much - you are the best!!
This girl sounds like quite the miracle baby!
How are they doing now?
Bethany -- Your comment made me laugh as well.
I hope you don't have students trying to climb into the zoo animal homes again.
I totally forgot about the animal cage incident! Last year on a field trip, one of my kids tried to climb into the sea lion cage at the zoo. I had to pry him off the outer (of 2) little glass walls. He had one knee up over it already.
I asked him about it and he just "wanted to go swimming with them."
Lauren so glad no biopsy this year. The meet is June 14th. So far Marisa, Nan, Bethany & I. Place undetermined but there will be food involved.
I am totally looking forward to this!
OK, I am in. Did we decide what state it will be in?
MARIA count me in for the 14th providing I can find where ever you decide to go. I can get lost in a shoebox.
Yay!
You live in New Jersey. Don't let that cloud your opinion of your sense of direction! I have a very strong sense of direction but had to call a friend in Wyoming (before I owned a GPS) to look up google maps on her computer and guide me out of the state!
Lauren, we haven't decided on state. Westchester County maybe? Bethany could take Metro North......NJ girls could drive in & Marisa & Nancy would drive down? Anything you think would work best please share
That sounds like a good idea...I don't know a lot about what's up there aside from the Panera in Scarsdale.
Just a quick update on my DM, thank you all for your concern. Please keep her in your prayers till we have results back in about a week. She made it through the procedure well. They were looking at a dime size growth. They did take three samples which will be sent to the lab for testing. She was home resting and in a little pain, but was able to have some soup for dinner.
Thank you for the update. Prayers have been sent.
for all who need it. I tried to catch everybody with this, but please don't feel left out if I missed you! I was trying to catch up quickly and I didn't leave anyone out intentionally!
So my Spazz - O - Matic cell phone keeps freezing, has erased all my text messages, call history, and emails. I need to write down all my contacts' information before it eats that too.
I have T-Mobile and have had them since 2002 or so. My contract doesn't end until April and I don't really have a problem extending the contract for 2 years from now because it appears I need a new phone.
Any ideas? I am looking at the
Samsung Behold and the G1. Both are just under $200 if I renew the contract for 2 years. Both are about $400 if I don't renew the contract.
I think I still want a smart phone with internet access and all that jazz, but I'm not sure if I need it because right now I use it primarily on my lunch and commute. And I don't think I can DIS and drive...
Good night all....I need to go to sleep so I can stay awake tomorrow in my professional development about putting colored dots on papers.
