So my brother, his gf, and I wake up at about 630am to get to the Magic Morning over at DL...Unfortunately, I had to activate my Deluxe AP at the ticket booth.
By the time, I walked through Downtown Disney, get in line for the ticket booth, and in the park, it is now 730am. Well, at least I made it for half of Magic Morning right?
Not too busy, huh? It was actually really nice to be able to walk into Tomorrow Land without herds of people at my heels. I called my brother to catch up with him, and he and his gf were barely getting on Space mountain, so I waited at the exit. A couple minutes later they were off, and we were off for some rides in Fantasyland!
The Matterhorn, then Alice in Wonderland!
After Alice, we went on Mr. Toad! I love this ride! Has anyone every seen the first claymation of Wind in the Willows? I believe it was 1987 or something...LOVE THAT MOVIE! We actually rented it on Netflix about a month ago!
Anyways, weird experience: Since there was only three of us and the cars are only two seaters, I had to ride by myself which was no problem. They loaded in front of me, and then I waited for my car. There was an older man running the ride, so he loaded me up and I said good morning, how are you? He said, "Even better now that I've seen you!" AHH! Get me outta here!
Well he sent me on my way, and you know how you go in through that little room, then back out towards the front again? He was hecka waving and smiling all creepily at me!! And what was worse, was that after I unloaded, he was all yelling, "Pretty girl in the pink shirt!!!!"
Nope, I had my sun
on so I wouldn't make eye contact!!
Anyways, after Mr. Toads, we went on Pinocchio's and then to Thunder Mountain. It was now about 830am and my DH finally decides to come join us. So we rode, Splash (ZERO WAIT), got soaked, and headed over to the Haunted Mansion to freeze our butts off inside the cold house.
My mom joined us soon after, so we waited on Main street to meet up with her. Here's a pic of how it looked at about 945am..
Our first OFFICIAL ride with the whole family was:
I'm gonna back up a little bit now...a few weeks ago, my brother had announced to my family that he was going to ask his gf, Melissa to marry him!
And he wanted to do it at
Disneyland! Even better! But he really wanted it to be a surprise, so we devised a little plan...he wanted to do this in front of the castle with a Photopass Photographer. We decided that me and DH would take a few pics first with the PP so that Melissa wouldn't think that something was up. Then we would take a family photo, and then they would take a few shots together, and then he would propose.
Well, about a week before the trip, his gf told my brother that she didn't want to go!
She didn't want to go because, every time that they went to Disneyland, she always thought that "it" would happen on that trip, and she was always so disappointed at the end of the trip that "it" never happened...well all my brother had to say was, "But it's Disneyland though!" That's all that he had to say and the plans were back on!
Okay, now come back to the exit of Star tours...
So we walk over to the Castle. All the PP's, were occupied, so we waited and then finally one comes open! My cute brother..I should have taken a pic of him..he looked so nervous! There were people around after all!
So my mom is whispering to the PP, while I'm talking to Melissa, trying to keep her distracted! So the session begins. The whole family takes a picture, then my and my dh take a couple. Then my brother and Melissa. And let me tell you how PERFECT THE TIMING WAS! I guess there was gonna be a little show in front of the castle, so there were two cast members blocking off the entrance the castle. So people that were going to watch the show were already lining up behind us...then it happened:
Isn't this too adorable!! People were clapping and coming up and congratulating them! I even saw one woman, slap her man's arm like, "That's what I want!!" LOL!
Then we took a group photo after:
So after all the excitement we got hungry! There was a game going on at that time, so me and DH took the monorail to ESPN Zone. We love that place! Took a few pics before boarding:
After lunch we all met up again. It was starting to get a little busy so we decided to go over to Innoventions.
We wanted to show my mom the Future House or whatever it's called.
Here's my DH hard at work:
And here he is again in the girl's bedroom. Check out those gums in the mirror!
He scared a poor little girl and she started crying, so we made a quick exit out of that room!
This is where we met the Celebrity! We were waiting in line to play the game that powers up the cities on the second floor, when we met this guy:
Don't recognize him???
I'm sure if you heard his voice you would...
Have you ever gone on California Screamin' over at DCA? He's the voice of "Get ready screamers!..." He's a voice actor for Disney! In fact, his going to be doing some Pixar movies in the future!!! And get this...he's only 19!!! He was able to do stitch, tow-mater, and Heimlich from Bug's Life! I was in Heaven when he did the California Screamin voice!!
So keep an "ear" out for Drew! lol! and if you want to visit him, head on over to Innoventions!
I consider him a celebrity...okay, a disney celebrity, but one day I think he's gonna be HUGE!
Well, as we were getting ready to exit the Innoventions building, Drew comes riding up in a Segway to hand us a button I had never seen before: An Honorary Citizen of Disneyland button! Has anyone else seen one before?
I was stoked!
